Love love this place ! Right by the ocean too! After getting your icecream you can scroll down the coast. They had tons of flavor. I had the grape , they have several selection without dairy too. The textures were more smooth like a custard and the flavors were mouthwateringly delicious. It was like tasting real vanilla and Parcha in a cone, served frozen. Unique flavors really hit the spot. I love places that have flavors unique to Puerto Rico. This ice cream spot definitely fits the bill. They have corn flavor and coquito! Both are very distinct and very delicious. I really enjoy how Puerto Rico capitalizes on the sweetness of the corn and uses it as a flavor for dessert. I liked tasting it, but I'm still not at the stage where I would order it myself. The coquito, on the other hand, was amazing. The menu even says it contains alcohol! You're getting real coquito, not just coquito flavor. If you like coconut, you'll like this ice cream. I wanted something super sweet so I ended up getting the dulce de leche. It captured the carmely goodness. The small is still pretty large. I asked if I could get one scoop, but no dice. You get about two and a half scoops in a small. You can also order a milkshake if you want one. If you are stuck on what flavor to get, definitely ask for samples. I tried a couple before I decided on the dulce de leche. I'm glad I taste tested first, because I was surprisingly not a huge fan of the Nutella. It was good, but it just didn't do it for me, so dulce de leche it was. Sometimes there is a line, but it moves pretty fast. It doesn't take that long to scoop ice cream. read more

I love this place. Any time I'm lucky enough to visit Puerto Rico, AT LEAST one trip to Rex Ice Cream HAS to happen. I just visited the area last month and two trips were made. I can't seem to stray from the coconut flavor but my mom ordered the pina colada which was delicious and my daughter got the cookies & cream. We all ordered a cone with one scoop, which was more than enough and it was super cheap! We got some corn flavored ice cream to go for my grandmother because that's her favorite flavor. I always try a sample, but I can't say I'm a fan. It tastes JUST like corn (and I like corn) but it's ice cream... my brain can't accept it! If you are near Rex Ice Cream, treat yourself! This is in my top 3 Ice Cream places in the world - Clearly a religious experience when it comes to Ice Cream. Miaz or Passion fruit is to die for. This is such a rare treat and these people are so talented I might expect to see God in their getting a cone. (Truly worth the trip). Rex's ice cream is very good. There are so many different sizes with different prices. I think I got the smallest "to go" size and my fiancé got the regular small. For some reason, my "to go" container was WAAAAAAY bigger than than my girls regular small and mine cost only a couple cents more. The ice cream wasn't like ice cream texture. More like a sorbet type of texture but it was still really good. I had the almond and coconut flavor and my lady got coconut and Nutella. Very delicious stuff. Currently staying around the corner from this place so I'm definitely coming back. Oh, and we only spent 6 bucks. For the amount of ice cream we got at Rex's, you'd pay 16 bucks for at Baskin Robins. read more

this place sits in the middle of a main plaza/park in aguadilla. i have no idea why there are no previous reviews but it's pretty good. it's supposed to be an ice cream shop but i ordered the sorbet items pineapple, and fruit punch, instead and i thought they hit the spot. they were fruity, and icy with shards of hard sorbet embedded in your scoops to give it a different texture, which i liked. if you're looking for milky, creamy, butterfat-laden ice cream (like i originally was), you may want to keep looking but in PR you're prob just going to end up in the freezer section of the nearest supermercado. read more
