For dinner, I had the grouper over mashed potatoes with a side of grilled veggies. The fish was not fresh - my guess is it was frozen, thawed and sauteed, resulting in a mushy/very soft texture and limp appearance. Potatoes were ok, a little bland; grilled veggies were fine, but I would have preferred them even more grilled with char marks. My husband had the breaded pork chop with local rice, and Israeli salad which was cucumbers and tomatoes. The chop had a sweet onion sauce on it that he didn't care for, but everything else was good. We also had desserts - ginger flan and guava cheesecake - both were excellent, and I would visit again just for dessert! Our server was excellent - attentive, friendly, efficient, and when we provided feedback on the meal, she was gracious and let us know in the future we can ask for different sauces to suit our preferences. We easily found parking in the lot just in front of the restaurant, and even though the restaurant was busy upon arrival, we were offered seats at the bar while we waited, and within 5 min we had a table. I included a pic of the menu to show the impressive diversity of entrées. Definitely lots of options, and the most veggie dishes of any restaurant we visited in 5 days in the area. I think this is a good place for a group with diners who have diverse tastes and/or food preferences, as it feels like there's definitely something for everyone.

There was a sweet scent in the air, the kind that warmed the heart, and she informed us that she was currently making papaya candy in the back so she excused herself for 2 minutes. The shop sells every Puerto Rican candy and dessert imaginable. We indulged in some limbers (PR ices). They were so good we wanted to eat more than one but decided against it. The tamarind flavor was amazing. We bought a bunch of candies and left with sad faces for not being able to take some ices to go. If you're ever in the Isabela area and are craving Puerto Rican desserts or are looking for yummy souvenirs to take home, don't hesitate to come here!
