I had a beautiful patio cover built on my house. RFMC did an outstanding job. I have had a couple minor problems and they responded to fix them in a timely manner. There are a lot of patio companies out there that use cheap material. RFMC is the only dealer in Fresno that uses the best patio material in Duralum products. Don't use any other material than Duralum!From design with Caleb and Jessica at the office I highly recommend RFMC if you want the best patio built on your house. RFMC Construction - General Contractors Near Me - Fresno, California

Not very good customer service. Once your job is complete the service goes out the window. Also the company they use for concrete FAJ construction is questionable. After a month the concrete started cracking / splitting. I contacted Rfmc and they reached out to FAJ and no one ever contacted me. I also reached out to FAJ and left several messages and no luck. Now I have a water leak. The city came out to assess and found It's coming from under my patio. I had an engineer come out and he said whoever did my concrete did not know what they were doing. They poured the conCrete over my water valve to shut off the water. The concrete had to be removed to get to the valve. This left a big hole in my patio. I reached out to Rfmc and all they could say was Sorry. There is nothing they could do. I spend over $20,000.00 on my patio just to have it torn out. I do remember the owner/foreman from FAJ would come and drop off his workers and did not stay to supervise them. This may be why the job was done so poorly. read more

Rick and his team were amazing. They did a total gut remodel on my very outdated 70's kitchen. Lenea was my project supervisor, and was a joy to work with. She was always just a phone call away, and talked me "off the edge" many times! This was my first time doing this, and they guided me with an expert hand. All of the subcontractors they used for my project were professional and knowledgeable, with the exception of one. My final cabinets were not installed to what I had selected, and expected. That was due to the "sales job" I got from the cabinet company salesman. He did not deliver on his promises to give me the kitchen cabinets of my "dreams". I've had two patio extensions done with the company. Great service and very professional

I wish I could say I had a great experience but this was not the case. They hooked both of my fans to my flood lights and the only way to turn on my fans either day or night I have to turn on all my outside flood lights. When I questioned the owner his response was everything worked when we left. So I guess if he ran an extension cord to my electrical plug and turned them on it would be ok since they would actually work. What a joke. I can guarantee he would never do this at his house. They also did not install the GFI plug for the outside extra electrical that was paid for but I cannot get him to return a call. I would definitely sway anyone from using this company. The only plus was the girls in the office were very nice and I couldn't imagine them having to continually have to tell clients the bad news since the owner will not get on the phone to discuss his unacceptable work or refund of incomplete work with me. read more

I'm now relieved I didn't go with this company and will make sure to mention Rick's arrogance and lack of consideration when I share my experience with fellow neighbors, coworkers, family and friends. I guess Rick thinks people who call for quotes, are ready to hand over a $15000 payment on the spot. A smart consumer is going to compare quotes, talk it over with their wife/husband and then go from there. However, based on Rich's reply, he was expecting me to hand over a $15000 check on the spot, without first talking it over with my wife. Now he's just being silly or he's really out of touch. I was also never told that my quote had an expiration date. I want to thank Rich for exposing another area that lacked communication from within his company. This guy claims I waited a month because he is the best. No Rick, your arrogance is preventing you from understanding a $15000 decision isn't made overnight. Especially during these "crazy times" you speak of. This guy never took into consideration that I had to take a day off of work for my appointment only to be told prices went up 10% while his employee is standing on my doorstep. This is inexcusable. A simple call giving me a heads up on the price increase would have saved everyone time. But you're the victim here, right Rich? I wasn't notified prior to my appt on purpose. I gave this guy an opportunity to do the right thing and unfortunately he didn't care enough to call me back and have an adult conversation. I was willing to meet in the middle but this guy isn't about doing the right thing. He's about money. Everything stated in my reviews is factual and this guy knows it. My review could have been positive but the unprofessional actions by Rick has turned this into a negative experience. Our experience was fantastic, we had our patio cover with 3 fans and lights and also lights at the end of each post and it looks great. It lowers the temperature outside at least 10 degrees is great and we also wanted to add cement to the sides of the house and extend the patio cover ground and they did a great job a definitely will recommend them. read more

I cannot recommend this company. Called them a few months back to get a quote on a patio and outdoor kitchen. Later that week Caleb called me and we made an appointment for him to come out. My wife and I met him and he discussed ideas, took measurements, etc... He then said he would call us later that week and give us a quote as well as send us a 3d drawing of the layout. He never called. After two weeks went by I called him and he was very apologetic and said that he would get us that info the following week. It's literally been a couple months and we haven't heard back. Extremely unprofessional. Don't know how they stay in business. read more

Never heard back, called them spoke to a Dana I thin who said Caleb had a morning meeting and she would have him call me. Never heard from them it's been over a week. I give them zero star but I guess I have to have at least one to post They called a few days after this post asked me to remove it Caleb said he was waiting to hear back from the city well after another week of waiting I went to the city myself to confirm distance. Apparently these folks haven't heard of the saying "no job too small." I was told that re-framing to add a double pocket door, removing a popcorn ceiling and painting the room was not worth the company's time. So, the message is "Don't call unless you have lots of money to spend." As an extra bonus they recommended that I "call a handyman," but had no recommendations. Sheesh. Got a proposal and made a decision to go with them. But after speaking with construction manager a mere second time, I decided against using them. He is constantly interrupted with phone calls. Got really angry and offended when I asked him some questions about the work. I think if it's not a big job, they can care less and really don't care to be pleasant. I really needed some assurance about a job that needed to be done a second time around and this manager didn't have the patience or willingness to explain the work. It's a shame that he was so unprofessional. I was hoping for it to work out with my other plans for the house. This was one person I dealt and he was a real poor representation for the company. I second the opinions of the other low ratings. Update: I updated the review from 1 to 3 stars because the owner was very responsive and contacted me the very day this occurred. I was offered a very sincere apology for the manner I was treated and I was told that they would like the opportunity to take on the job with the guarantee that I would have minimal contact with the manager. I am not sure what I will decide but I feel that the owner(s) will be make sure that I would be taken care of without further incident. Scheduled an appointment to have someone come out and go over what I wanted done. Estimator comes out to my house and shows me an orientation video, measures my bathrooms and gives my a price. I asked if that included the discount that was advertised on the website which claimed he knew nothing about and which he wished that the company told him about. Anyway, he was supposed to get back to me by email or phone with dates that the project could be started and I was going to decide how I wanted to pay, cash, credit, etc. He was also supposed to check on the discount. Never heard from the guy again. I feel that if they wanted my business he would have followed through with the phone call or email as discussed. And as much money it was going to cost me he should have provided the customer service as discussed. Bad customer service from the start. read more

The Patio Kings are the best. They just completed our patio cover and it is amazing. The salesman Caleb offered us tons of options and really knew his stuff. It's his dads business and they have been doing it for over 30 years. The install does take some time because they do it the right and legal way with permits and all. I read some bad reviews complaining about how long it takes. Thats not fare as the wait is because of the city not The Patio King. WARNING: Not all contractors do that. Don't end up holding the bag with a contractor that cuts corners. Anyway, the whole process was great. We are a VERY happy customer. read more

I had a great experience with the Patio Kings. I had priced pergolas at the "big box" hardware stores and websites, but realized for the price, the Patio Kings could not be beat! Their price included installation, cement footings, electricity hook up and even installing my chandelier in the structure itself. The original contact went well, the installation took place earlier than estimated and the whole structure was up in a day. My one concern was a the metal pergola, but I am happy with the end product and over time I am sure I will appreciate not having to maintain real wood. I was very excited to have this company come and do work at our home. We have several projects in our bathrooms and want a patio cover as well. We saw the company at the Fresno Home Show and the representative was very easy to talk to and willing to answer any and all questions we had. Very friendly. We had them come out for a quote ~ 2 months later I'm still waiting to hear what the estimate will be. I'm not sure if we don't have enough for them to do at our home, if we didn't seem like we had money enough for them, or what the case may be; but, if I can't get an estimate in a timely manner, how can I be assured work would be done efficiently and on time? Very disappointed! Even if there were other circumstances delaying the estimate, I would think the company could have contacted us and told us. I e-mailed at one point asking about it and was told it would be worked on that day, that was over a month ago. Just heard back from the company to be told they don't service the South Valley area. Then why did you waste our time and come to our home to see what needed to be done and tell us twice you would get us a quote? read more

We had a patio cover installed recently and really love the out come. The guys were great installing it and very detailed oriented. We had a bit of an issue with a couple items after they installed it but Riack came out took a look and we were able to resolve all of the issues. Would highly recommend them and their products. We had a horrible experience with RFMC Inc., specifically the Bath Planet-Seamless Shower Division. I would not recommend this company because they misrepresented the product as being a seamless shower and then proceeded to build a shower with a crude and unworkable seam. It took this company 5 months to complete our new seamless shower due to poor design, execution, and customer service. The seamless shower and glass door both had to be redone multiple times because 1) The adhesive failed and the shower wall laminate didn't stick, 2) The shower was built with a horizontal seam covered with a plastic gasket and the shower door frame wouldn't fit over the seam, and 3) The glass shower door broke because of the bent frame. There were large gaps of time between each phase of the project waiting for more work to be done. Stay away and avoid the stress and wasted time that we spent trying to get this company to finish the job correctly. read more

I don't know how this company is still in business the way they operate. I called for a estimate and scheduled one. They forgot to come out. I called to see where they were and was given the first excuse. Then when ed showed up I was told he never knew about my appointment. I was quoted a job that I accepted immediately. I was told it would take 3-4 weeks for them to start but it would only take 2 days to finish. Never received a call afterward or near the 4 week point to schedule the start day. I called and they came out the next week. They demo'd my shower and found floor damage. Gonna be 1 more day now and cost 250 more. I said ok. Meanwhile my house was covered in plaster dust. And they no call no show on day 3. Given 3 different excuses at this point. They finish the walls day 6. To my surprise there was a seam in my seamless shower. I was never told there would be a seam. That and it was poorly executed and the shower would have to be replaced again to fix. Which they did almost 3 weeks later. I was told we won't charge you for the floor repair since we're taking so long. I paid the agreed upon 3450. When the shower was replaced the second time. But of course they still wanted that 250. I've called multiple times and gotten every excuse in the book. I recommend you pay someone else twice as much before you ever pay this company to do your bathroom or shower. Anyway if I can get a call back from the company about that final charge since I've left more than enough unreturned calls thank. read more
