We had intended to sub it all out ourselves and we were very close to pulling the trigger when we met Joe at the Edmonton home show. He gave us honest advice that we could do better, especially on the quality of windows we were about to lock in. So we asked if he would give us a quote for the whole thing. We had already hired a designer, so we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted, but Joe spent a lot of time with us, showing us other options and ultimately dialing in the exact design. Specifically, he showed us some options that we had never considered with a mix of vinly siding and Hardie. Joe also got window quotes that were the same price or better than we had received, but for higher quality windows. Often a good salesman doesn't always translate to a good team. That was not the case with Smart Home. Their entire team and sub contractors were excellent. Once the project started and we were able to directly contact the sub contractors and they were all very responsive. With any multi-faceted job, there will be issues, and they were all handled quickly. For example, we noticed right away that the style of vinyl siding was wrong, it was fixed the next day. We had some electrical issues, the electrician came back multiple times, until it was solved. We had water issues with our garage that became more apparent when the old siding was removed. Andrew, the primary job manager, came to us with helpful suggestions and ultimately implemented the agreed upon solution. Andrew also made innovative suggestions on how to reconfigure our eavestroughs to avoid icy spots in the winter. Smart Home only works with excellent contractors and we couldn't have been happier with the entire process from start to finish. Fair, honest dealing with a company that truly made us feel like they had a stake in the final product. I can't recommend them enough.

We had a huge job to do along nearly the full length of our home on one side, owing a bit of bowing…read morein the siding that had expanded over the years, cracking the parging and making really one heck of a mess in the end. It doesn't help that the water outlets are on that side, too, and we had to install an electrical upgrade that ran all down that side and is attached to the parging at intervals. Too many ways for water to get in behind there, and things started looking pretty rough. We knew we were due for some parging updates in other parts of the house, too, after 27 years from the original. We had a quote from another vendor that was quite a bit cheaper, but what we heard about how they planned to deal with the long wall situation basically sounded like a cosmetic coverup and not really a fix. I remembered that our neighbour had used J and J years ago before selling their home, and their work still looked great there. J and J gave us an estimate that was within our guesstimate frame, told us in detail about how they would fix the wall, showed up reliably, and completed the work in a much faster time frame than I would have thought. Multiple people were on the job the first day, and they had to come back a second day to follow up on finishing the beastly wall, and were delayed by some serious rain, but there was no worry waiting because the site was already weather safe, with the follow up work being mostly cosmetic. The outcome has been very satisfying after years of seeing things slowly crumble. I enjoy being out in the garden without having to try and not look at certain places. In short, it looks seamless and took years off the curb appeal of our home. These folks really are the experts at this in Edmonton, and I would highly recommend them and definitely use them again.

Problem was, half the bricks were falling out of the top of it, and it really looked awful. I knocked the sucker down to the ground with a sledgehammer, then called some siding repair places, since the siding that had been behind it for 40 years or so was rotted clean through. I called the Jason Global emergency line. They called me back that night (Sunday at 8:00 pm) and had a rooofer out the next morning to do the repair. Of particular note: They honoured the warranty and did the repair no cost even though it had expired a couple of days previously. This kind of great customer service is pretty rare these days. I would definitely recommend Jason Global to my friends.

I would not recommend Jayson Global to anyone. They are negligent and incompetent. They left unused…read morematerials and garbage all over my front lawn for weeks while I was on vacation. They also installed a downspout right against my home which consequently flooded my basement in the spring. When confronted about this concern, they denied all responsibility. I had to replace carpet and subfloor. I also has to install an extension to the downspout so it cleared water away from my home. Extremely disappointed in their lack of customer service.

Their quote was middle to high on the few quotes we got, but we went with them because we felt that we would get exactly what we wanted after Trevor came by to assess the work. He listened to what we needed and offered great suggestions, that we wouldn't have thought of that made the end product look even better.
