I returned home to an incomplete project although he had already cashed the check for the entire amount of the work. I learned a hard lesson, and I will never take someone for their word again. It was like pulling teeth to get him to finish what was agreed upon and what was supposed to be finished in a couple of weeks turned into months of back and forth. Part of the job involved him and his crew installing a new paver patio area. They incorrectly installed it multiple times and had to redo the job 4 times! Insane. They left a dip in it so big that I could not set patio furniture on it and Andrew told me it "had to be done that way." After I pressed he conceded to have it redone. Again, this had to be redone 4 times!!! It's still not perfect but it's good enough. He and his guys also left cigarette butts all over our yard and when we returned from vacation we also had a crushed beer can in our fenced in back yard. We do not drink or keep Heineken at our home. This guy had every excuse in the book for the unresponsiveness and blunders. In short, I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy

JJP had the most professional response and was able to get it removed quickly. The communication was great, and his pricing was very fair. He did an excellent job of clearing the area so that I could seed and put down new mulch. It had rained quite a bit, and he was also careful not to leave ruts in the lawn from equipment. My friend a few houses up had him remove a pretty good amount of brush/leaves and also had a good experience. I'm always happy to support a young business that does a great job. Many others claim they have insurance but when you read the fine print, the differences come to light. You can tell Atlanta Tree Professionals care about their customers and their employees. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. After taking a deposit upfront, King gave me multiple dates for when the work would begin--and each time, he was a no-show. No courtesy calls, no updates, just empty promises. Eventually, he completely disappeared. No responses to texts, calls, or messages--just full-on ghosted me. It's clear now that he had no intention of doing the work after taking the deposit. This is unprofessional, unethical, and borderline fraudulent. I strongly caution anyone considering working with him or his company. Do not trust King Ellis. He took my money and vanished. I have since reported him on Thumbtack and recommend others do the same to prevent this from happening to anyone else.
