So, I was between 3 and 4 stars, so am giving them the extra half since this review is based on one visit. The grounds are lovely, and driving through the gates of the stone fortress we've all driven by for years is an experience. The drive up to,the house feels like something out of an old movie. Be sure to follow the signs on the grounds directing you to parking...my maps app wanted to send me to the delivery entrance. Parking is straight up the main driveway and then to the right. There is no sign saying where to go in for the dining room...it is the main door to the house. Since we were there for dinner we weren't able to tour the rooms - the gallery/house other than the dining room is closed in the evening. So.,,if you want to see the house be sure to visit in the afternoon. The dining room is definitely upscale, but seems like business casual clothing is fine. As others have mentioned, the prices of food and beverages is much higher than other nice places in Indianapolis...these are California prices. I had a 6oz glass of wine, grilled shrimp and vegetable salad, fries, and a dessert and the tab was over $100 with tip. You are paying for the location for sure. The food was good; the salad was fresh and a decent portion. The fries were fries, and the butterscotch creme brûlée was creamy with a nicely done topping that cracked correctly. Service was iffy...everyone was nice, but they all seemed really new and trying hard. We felt terrible for one young server who accidentally spilled the tray of drinks for our table dousing herself and soaking one of the people in our group. We didn't want her to feel worse so of course didn't make a big deal about it but...management was pretty dismissive noting the stains would come out of our friend's sweater with Spray and Wash...they didn't offer to clean the sweater or even give her a bag...and she had to ask for a new chair since that was soaked as well...other restaurants would have comped something...they didn't even comp her sparkling water... We did walk around the grounds a bit after dinner and it really is a beautiful property. I think I'll make a trip back during hours the gallery is open and just grab a beverage at the bar. read more

This place is gorgeous - the lavish decor and property are beautiful, even at night. I visited on Valentine's day evening - they extended hours for people to get more reservation options which I appreciated. Unfortunately, we were not told the gallery would close earlier in the evening so that was a disappointment. We were early so we grabbed a drink before dinner - I expected prices to be high, but glasses of wine were exceptionally marked up. We were called to our table early - our waitress Fiona was kind and knowledgeable. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was perfectly done and delicious. I tried the chicken sandwich and it the breading was perfection. The fries were really good. The homemade ranch was interesting and not particularly good. Lobster roll, ribeye sandwich and Chinese chicken salad are some of the better items I've had. Our young children devour the fried chicken Sando and fries. Staff good with kids. We like coming here because it is so peaceful and European feeling. Husband wishes we could kayak in the lake. They paved over the gravel driveway which is honestly a downgrade because the gravel reminded me of drives in Provence but I suppose pavement is less upkeep. Personally the esthetic of the furniture is too clunky and masculine for me but the space is so massive that this style works well. Everyone should experience this place! Its exquisitely designed space is quite striking and you can tour what was a home. We went on a holiday (new Years day) so most of it was closed but what we saw left us in awe of how 2 people lived there in such an expansive place. I'd recommend going during the day so outdoor viewing of the garden etc is feasible. Our server was very helpful and did a fantastic job. Fiona seated us and took our drinks and Mary served us. The menu is laid out quite nicely so it's easy to choose your selection although you might want to experience several options. They offer a wide selection of drinks even lattes which I had and it was so good I had a second one. I opted for the Mulholland salad which comes small chopped with a balsamic dressing that pairs well with what's included. It's a nice portion and I enjoyed it a lot. This is like no furniture showroom that I've ever seen before. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. There is a wine bar that serves wine, beer and fancy coffee so you can peruse in style with a bev. We were invited to explore the house and grounds, of which were filled art and RH furniture. We finally made it! We picked the perfect spring afternoon to explore the property and soak in the beautiful architecture. This review is more for the actual building in property them that restaurant. In the future, I look forward to picking up a glass of wine and sitting on the back patio to soak in the beautiful pond views. I have to admit the Restoration Hardware design is not my favorite, but I was eager to see the beautiful property and design of this home. I also found myself being surprised by some of the items that I did like in their showcase rooms. The restaurant offers a brunch, lunch and dinner menu that leans on the pricier side. However, if you'd like to get a glass of wine or a cocktail to walk around, you can do that as well I'm not certain, but it did seem as if there were some people working remotely from the space. The floor to ceiling windows, enormous house, plants, an abundance of natural light, are not to mess. So glad that this home found a second life open to the community. read more

When you walk in you're immediately greeted and are in view of the dining room. You 100% will want to make a reservation if you want a table. Every interaction with the staff is something of a fine dining restaurant. The hospitality is great. I had avocado toast with the soft egg and burrata appetizer. The burrata was delicious and came with roasted/seared peppers. Ask for extra bread if you're sharing with more than 3 people. The avocado toast comes out on a cutting board with balsamic drizzled on top. It was good - the soft boiled egg made it great! The toast itself is a little bland and plain. It needs a seasoning or something on it, but it was good. The egg was perfectly cooked with a hard egg white and as soon as you cut into it a creamy yolk ran out. An RH representative meets you at the door and explains the layout. The dining area is straight ahead. A wine bar is nearby and you are invited to grab a glass and wander around. The chandeliers and lighting fixtures are gorgeous. If contemporary furniture is your thing, an RH membership for $200 annually will snag you a 25 % discount. Take the elevator or the spiral stairs to the second floor. Third floor is off limits. We arrived 45 minutes early for our 6:45 restaurant reservation to have time to look around. It was just the right amount of time. The menu is small and I like that. I ordered the lobster roll and while it was good, I wasn't that impressed. My friends felt the same about the ribeye sandwich and the rotisserie chicken. The butterscotch brûlée was delish! Satisfy your curiosity about the mansion and make a reservation online. Went for my bday dinner in late Feb 2024. (It just opened in Nov 2023.) Staff super friendly. Of course the estate is gorgeous. The dining room is directly through the front doors in the former foyer. Had the burrata as an appetizer. The balsamic glaze on that and the roasted peppers with it were very good. I ordered the lobseter roll and asked the server to have the kitchen pair a glass of white wine for me. They chose the Alabrino La Cana Navia and it was very good. The lobster roll was good as well, and the texas toast on it was great. Hubs had the ribeye and a side of the broccolini. I had had the truffle fries. We shared the sides, ans they were plenty big for two people. The steak was very flavorful but looked sad coming naked on its plate. Desset was their version of a banana split: a banana with caramel brulele , and three small scoops of ice cream and whipped cream. it was tasty. While all the food was all well prepared and flavorful, it's really the setting and experience that you're paying for. The burrata at $20 is reasonable for a high end restaurant, as was the $28 lobster roll, but the naked, unaccompanied steak at $56 seemed high, as did $16 for french fries. The mansion itself is a showcase for the Restoration Hardware furniture store. You can walk around with a drink, and there is also a side wine bar of the one wing (they do not have full liquor license). Everything was doine in beige, tans and gold. All. the . rooms. I would be curious to see if they switch it up throughout new seasons. The rooms are an influencer/wanna-be's dream: photo ops with gorgeous funiture at every turn. it was dark when we finished dinner, although we stepped out on the patios as well. Seeing mixed reviews I wasn't expecting much food wise. Go for house stay for the food kinda of thing. Reservation at 3pm Easter Sunday. I was actually surprised I could make them on Easter Sunday. I did reserve a month in advance. We parked and walked in and were greeted at the door. We were told a little about the where the Wine Bar was, where the restrooms were, and about walking around and viewing the property. We then saw the host for our seat. Our server was there almost immediately greeting us. We got water for the table and ordered drinks, then appetizer. We got the Prosciutto and Délice Board. It was good with two cheeses, prosciutto, strawberry jam, grapes and baguette. Two of us got Caesar salads. The dressing is an oil base Caesar. We all prefer the creamy dressing. But it was a big side salad. Mother In-law ordered the half rotisserie chicken. It was very flavorful, moist and a good portion. I got the lobster roll and truffle fries. I thought both were really good. The lobster roll could have used more lobster but I'd say that about any roll. The truffle fries were full on flavor. Husband got the filet. It had great taste but a bit small. We all skipped dessert. Then we took a stroll thru the house and grounds. It is a beautiful estate. All the RH items are wildly over priced. But I guess there are people that will pay 7,000$ for a fire pit or 10,000$ for a chandelier. Everything is also in muted earth tones. We did ask about fabrics and the have a couple stripe options and navy that weren't represented in the house. My husband had a couple nit picky critiques. They didn't have a salad fork with the dinner fork. No new flatware was brought out with the entrees. Over all the meal was good. A non alcoholic wine is more expensive than a regular wine. Most drinks are $19 and made up of mostly ice. After lunch we walked around the showroom for about an hour 1/2 and sat and had a cocktail. I love that you can go to the bar and get a drink to walk around the gallery and outside. The grounds are truly STUNNING. The dining area is an amazing, cool vibe. It feels very upscale and intimate. The food, although delicious, was very expensive. They definitely price for the experience. If you're looking for an affordable meal, I wouldnt come here. This restaurant was such an experience! From start to finish everything was so refreshing to see. I've been twice so far and Tala our waitress served the tables I attended both times. She's so informative, giving good insights on where to start the tour of the gallery and explains why they chose the birthday cake as one of the desserts on the menu. She's also very accommodating (she had a steak sauce put together that complimented the Rib-eyed steak we ordered). From the lunch menu we had the Crispy Artichokes, Lobster Ceasar Salad, the Lobster Roll, and the Butterscotch Brûlée. The Lobster Roll had such a buttery flavor on the bun (but was not greasy). The crispy artichokes were light and had a really good rosemary aioli cream sauce. The Butterscotch Brûlée was very balanced with crunch from the caramelized topping, not too sweet but very creamy. From the dinner menu we had the Rotisserie Chicken Ceasar Salad, the Ribeye Steak, Charred Heirloom Broccolini, fries both the Caramelized Banana Split and the Birthday Cake. The Rib-eyed steak was very tender and full of flavor (without having to add A1 or steak sauce). The charred heirloom broccolini was a bit spicy and a little dry but was edible. I personally liked the fries with the steak. The birthday cake was very rich but super soft. I'm not a big fan of buttercream frosting. The sprinkles were cute and fun! The caramelized banana split was my most favorite dessert option. The caramel crunch on the banana paired with the vanilla ice cream made it very enjoyable. I would come again just for that dessert. Parking was close, but they also offer valet parking that adds to the experience. read more

As you enter the beautifully outfitted mansion, you are greeted by a group of friendly hosts to check in. Throughout the property and during the dining experience, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was visiting for a quick breakfast and to take a look at the galleries. I was very pleased with the bagel & lox, which for such a simple meal was VERY well put together and tasty. Ingredients were clearly high quality. My latte was good. Standard. But, good. The minute I stepped into this spot, I felt like I was transported to somewhere in Europe. This beautiful dining room sits inside a 151 acre Palladian style estate. Right off the bat I appreciate that they have their own parking lot out front. In addition, I also liked the fact that you do not have to sit in the dining room and can tour the estate with a drink in your hand. The minute we walked in we were warmly greeted and seated at our spots. I quickly scanned the menu and settled on a lobster roll and a glass wine. Both were very good and I was pleasantly surprised with how fresh the lobster tasted. My only small piece of feedback is that I wish they had more vegetarian options on the menu! Dining at RH is like you are on a European vacation. First of the house and estate is breathtaking. It was truly like walking around a museum. I got a vanilla latte at the wine and coffee bar. Which was delicious by the way . I was overall impressed by service. Everyone was super friendly and willing to answer questions about the property. I was there for brunch and found out I was the first person they had served at the coffee bar that day. The DR is spacious and didn't feel overly formal. Our waitress was wonderful. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the estate. I got the scramble. We also shared the artichoke appetizer. Which honestly was one of my favorite things that we had. We ended the meal by sharing two desserts. This was truly an amazing experience. I cannot wait until they open their grounds. I was hoping to be wowed, but unfortunately RH did not meet/exceed my expectations. My mom, sister and I went for lunch. Our reservation was scheduled for 1P and we didn't get seated until about 1:25P- not a huge deal as we got a drink and walked a little, but as we were getting seated, we were also told that people were enjoying their stay. Understandable and no big deal. However, we think it may be due to the server's choice that people stayed for a while as our service was verrrrrrryyyyyyyy drawn out. Took about 30 min from when we ordered to get our first course, then about 25 minutes more to get our entrees (so my sister waited about 50min. before she got her food!). Drinks took at least 10-12 minutes. I would understand if they had a ton of tables and low on waitstaff, but this is not the case. They were plenty staffed. Food was average- my mom and I started with the Caesar salad- hardly any flavor and not enough dressing. My mom got the ribeye sandwich. She said the flavor was great, but too much gristle and the bread was a little greasy. For the price point, not worth it. My sister got the gem salad with chicken and loved it. I got the New York lox and bagel. It was good, but honestly comparable to Big Apple Bagel's lox and bagel sandwich, just the 10-12$ difference. Limited dessert options, but my mom and I tried the butterscotch crème brûlée and I wish I had passed on it. Wasn't worth the calories or the $12. Bevs included peach Bellini which she said she has had better. I had the mimosa (light on OJ) which the first couple were good and then the last was so off, not sure but didn't taste like the first two I had. My sister had sauv blanc and she said she liked it. Ambiance was hardly anything to write home about. The Nashville location was beautiful with the fountains and greenery and lights.. this looked like an upscale mess hall.
