I…read morecould tell during the estimate that Wilfredo is very detail oriented and would be the best choice. He and his assistant painted my home exterior, as well as the master bedroom. The exterior was previously done in very dark colors, and painting it much lighter transformed our home beautifully. It was a pleasure working with them. Wilfredo is a hard worker and most importantly - *meticulous* attention to detail. I've had several painters over the years, and no one preps as thoroughly as this guy. It makes a big difference, especially with a larger job like this one, not to have to worry about any overspray or drips. He also uses the high quality formula paint, and premium oil base for our doors. I was impressed with the good coverage the almost white color had over the dark paint, due to his thoroughness, and the garage and front door turned out beautifully. There were some details that caused extra work, like small repairs and having to paint around the rain gutters to paint the top strip of fascia that barely showed. These things really made a difference. He's also very tidy; each day he completely cleaned up his equipment, and at the end returned everything around the house to where it previously was. This included raking all the mulch back into place so I didn't have to! Wilfredo and his assistant are diligent, hard workers, along with being friendly and kind. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Coastside Painting again (and again), and highly recommend them.

In personal or business it is so vital to have that because unfortunately there are some that you cannot trust. And Angel is just so different and so we went with him. He not only delivered THE BEST service, he understood and respected our budget, he is excellent with communication, he's very forthcoming, and he and his team did such a phenomenal job with our flooring! We love it! We were so right about Angel! There was a slight mishap with a member he was referred to (not really a part of his team), this guy undermined Angel's authority by talking to us directly and trying to smear Angel's character and knowledge, even to the point of that guy and his girlfriend coming outside our home and threatening Angel but he handled it like a pro; he was calm and just said he will have to call the police if their threat ensues, and so they left. He's professional, transparent, and most importantly, in my humble opinion, trustworthy. I'm afraid nowadays, those are hard to come by. So we're really blessed with Angel and his team!

This is an honest review. I attempted to be fair and even edited my review to be shorter and more…read moregenerous. Unfortunately, the owner continues his online crusade to discredit me and I'm backed into a corner to prove the legitimacy of my concerns. I've added a video showing yellowing throughout the house. This is not a moisture issue. When the work was finished caulking was not yellowed, but I found several areas throughout the house that were not caulked at all. I was also was unhappy with the gap between boards and the floor. The owner is correct when he says I signed a contract indicating that this would not be done. I was guided into this and later found out that it is not always standard practice. Nonetheless, I signed this contract and feel that it would be unfair for me to grade based upon this problem alone, hence the updated increase to my rating. When painting was finished I did voice my discontent with the way things turned out. The owner became defensive about his work. His strategy was to deflect these concerns as a me problem, rather than a workmanship problem. I can remember feeling pressured at the end of the job to agree that things were satisfactory and reluctantly paid. There was no call back to fix the yellowing because his arrogance turned me off. I did not want him back in my house. I've lived in the house for years, looking at my unsightly baseboards. Every time I walk through my hallways I'm reminded of how frustrated I am that I paid good money for this. I do not like publicly shaming a company, but in this case it's necessary. After years I finally posted a review. The bottom line is that the job is substandard. I have to have things repainted at my own expense and I'm very disappointed about it.
