I feel compelled to respond after the poor review from Judy C. I recently purchased two brothers from Charlotte at Rhetorical Ragdolls. Charlotte is a lovely person and the business side and of this transaction was smooth and pleasant. My kittens have been certified as very healthy by my vet. They are beautiful, of course. And so far I am enjoying their very different personalities! One of them is exactly what every prospective Ragdoll owner dreams of. He is nearly fearless of my children and dog. He allows them to carry him around the house for long stretches of time and he purrs constantly. He enjoys sharing the dog bed with our retriever! which is incredible as I've never had a cat and dog get along so well! I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't find him remarkable! His brother has a very different personality. He hid under the bed for the first 24 hours. After that we were able to coax him out for short amounts of time with toys and food. One week later, he now sleeps on top of the bed and hangs out with us so long as no one is too loud or too boisterous! (We do have lots of loud and boisterous in our house!) He has a definite preference for my eldest child (11) and myself. He only likes to be carried for a short amounts of time and only on our shoulders. However, he's a voracious eater and extremely playful. He's just more particular and cat- like than his brother. But, he IS a cat. :) Honestly, this is why we bought two. We hoped that one of the cats would be very friendly and enjoy the kids' affections. I am thrilled to say that it has worked out well for us so far. I think my shy kitten will continue to open up and blossom as he becomes more comfortable with us. However, if he continues to be a cat that prefers my quiet lap while I'm reading in a sunny window, I'm just fine with that. No matter the breed of cat, dog, or lizard, you will not get the ideal personality 100% of the time. Mine are 100% biological brothers and very different. Life is like a box of chocolates- if you buy your chocolates from a good shop, they will likely be very high quality and delicious. However, every box has a coconut cream filled chocolate. That might not be your favorite, but it may very well be what you bite into. :) read more

I adopted a seal bicolor lynx female ragdoll a month ago and I couldn't be happier with her! She brings us so much joy. She makes us laugh everyday with her playful antics. She is super great with my child. The very first day at our house she was so well adjusted. The training and socialization showed. She was relaxed and curious. Ready to investigate everything in her new home. So intelligent, gentle and easy going. Also was litter box trained. When I first had visitors come to my house my ragbaby ran right up to greet them. She has never once raised her claws to us during play. Her temperament is gold, she is patient and oh so loving!! She is so quiet. The only time I hear her tiny meow is when I open a can of wet cat food and she gets so excited. Her markings are beautiful. On the website you can see the ragdoll pedigrees. I highly recommend Rhetorical Ragdolls. Charlotte was very professional and helpful. They offer courier service. My kitten was delivered right to us, I didn't even have to leave my home! The courier wore mask and gloves when delivering. My kitten came spayed, Tica pedigree, vaccinated, microchipped, with flea protection, multiple health guarantees and breeder support for life!! We had a wonderful experience adopting our ragdoll kitten from Charlotte. Once we decided to adopt a ragdoll, I looked all around for a breeder (so many websites warn you to make sure your breeder is raising the kittens underfoot with lots of TLC) and Charlotte had a great reputation, which we quickly learned was well-deserved! Her website has tons of great information, and when I reached out, she responded very promptly with a simple, but comprehensive application, and an explanation of the next steps. We had to wait a few months for our kitten, but Charlotte kept me informed on availability and we ended up getting a kitten a month earlier than we expected! We couldn't be happier with our kitten - she is beautiful, healthy and has the most wonderful personality. She is so affectionate to all of us - she spends her days napping on my husband's desk, my desk and in our 4-year-old's bed, and when my 4-year old gets home from preschool, Marie is so excited to see her (and often sleeps with her at night). I had a lovely experience with Charlotte at Rhetorical Ragdolls. I have never gone through a breeder before, so I was understandably nervous reaching out to one. I've seen/read about so many scams with breeders, I was a little nervous. However, looking up information about Charlotte revealed nothing but good experiences! She answered all of my questions and- given how this is a hobby of hers alongside her actual job- she was quite prompt in responding to me by email and on FB messenger. Her courier service was polite and kept in good contact, so no worries there either! I adopted a gorgeous Seal Colorpoint sweetheart we call Mitzi (her older brother is a grey lop rabbit we call Mochi) and she is every bit like they say a ragdoll is. She flops in your arms onto her back, begging for belly scratches and chin rubs. Three days in and she was like our little shadow; constantly kneading everything she touches. I picked up my beautiful seal bicolor, Ava, on 10/18/2020 from Charlotte at Rhetorical Ragdolls. Charlotte was wonderful to work with, so nice when we finally met, and my kitten is just what I was looking for and more. She was matched to me based on my preferences as requested. I had lost an elderly dog in June and decided against another dog as I no longer enjoyed the cold, snowy walks of winter. Having researched the ragdoll breed for a few years, I took a chance on Charlotte based on pictures/info on her website, the information she provided right away to me by e-mail, and the many, many reviews - all of which were so positive. I adopted my rag baby from Charlotte in November of 2020. I began talking with her over the summer of 2020 and waited about 5 months for the most perfect Ragdoll I could've asked for. Not only is my ragdoll adorable but has the most loving, calm, fun and playful temperament. He loves to play, loves people and even gets along great with other cats and dogs! I wanted to find my new family from TICA registered breeder and I contacted to Charlotte. The reason why I chose her was, her website is well updating, very useful and her replying is also quick and informative. Maybe you will be a little worried or cannot wait until your cat is chosen and being able to meet him/her, but I can say it is worth to wait!!! The litter who came to my home (blue seal bi color, male) is so beautiful, socialized and the most important, healthy. He is getting along with my 6-year-old son. What she prepared with our litter, such as health insurance, toys or carry bag, among others were also very useful. I am happy to get him from her, and be able to take her support continuously. We got our sweet baby LuLu just recently. People should know that I am not exaggerating when I say this is the nicest, most chill cat I've ever met! She fits in with our family like hand in glove, and has even become best friends with our dog (who seems elated with her company). We just love our kitten so much. Charlotte is a very responsible, responsive, and knowledgeable breeder of Ragdolls. We got the exact female, blue-point mitted kitten we wanted, with an outstanding, floppy temperament! I purchased a kitten here last week. What was most important to me is that kittens are raised in a home with a child and dogs to interact with. He was very calm on the car ride home (2 hours). Upon arrival home, he is very affectionate, playful, and curious. He is not afraid of my 90 pound Rottweiler. He loves being held by my 9 year old daughter. Yes you pay a little more for a kitten from a breeder, but they have had all their vaccines and have been spayed or neutered before leaving the breeder. She also sends a bag of the food she feeds home with you to get you started. I would recommend this breeder if you want to make an investment in a cat with a very family friendly personality. read more
