My doctor was a lovely, warm, and a very smart.Woman..She gave me great care and I always knew that if I needed her, she was there for me. In 2018 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer for the second time and it came back with a vengeance.. She made sure I was being taken care of by a Great Surgeon, and a very good RadiationOncologist Within six months my tumor was gone and I was able to have my surgery . All was well until Covid started spreading very quickly. One day i got a call from Dr Quan telling me that she was leaving the group for Personal reasons . I was sad but she told me she would leave me with Dr. Luke Chen. For the first year or so I did not see him in person due to Covid. I talked to him through Facetime. Luckily I was doing well. I finally got to see him and he was very cold and business like. I tried to deal with that, but I never had much faith in him.. I saw his PA and she was very good, but I knew I would have to stay with Dr Chen. Sometime in 2021 All of Pacific Shores was acquired by City of Hope. When I went to see him be acted strange and when I asked him if I was going to stay with the group. He just said he didn't know. He was very upset and so was I . I finally got a letter from My insurance and they said City of Hope was not going to contract with our Medical Group. We were given other Oncologists that we were go to. Again I was upset, at the last minute we were able to stay. That lasted another year or so and we were asked to leave again. This was very upsetting. Dr Chen didn't even let me know himself. I called the office staff and they were confused too about this change, but we're very kind about getting my records. I was very lucky because the group I transferred to is excellent. And so is My Doctor. I would never refer anyone to this group or Dr Luke Chen. He may be smart but he has no bedside manner.

Since my condition is long term, we laid out a plan and will stay vigilant about my care. I'm so glad I came back to the office! I love Dr Mitzutani's manner and his candor. He is now one of me favorite Dr's. Way to turn things around!

He is easy to speak with, listens intently & exudes an excellent bedside manner. It's not easy to find such a provider now-a-days. In my experience many physicians treat medicine more like a business than actually taking their patients into account & advocating whats best for them. I checked in at the Beach and Yorktown office and the lobby reception said she had No appointment for me. I showed her my confirmed screen shot of my appointment, called the back office they said I could reschedule for June 13 or they will just call if somebody cancels. I work two jobs so that is why I picked the holiday for my appointment. After 3 people said that's it/ all we can do. As I see here now they accommodated another person. I never raised my voice or treated anyone with disrespect as I to am in customer facing jobs. There was a breakdown in the computer however, seeing my confirmed appointment more should have been done.

I had to take a day off work, leave me in limbo as she stated, "I have a lot wrong!" I did poor. "She has 80 90 year olds that could pass that same test!" I may never know. It took me almost a month to get that appointment. Hopefully, when I drop dead of a cardiac arrest, the coroner will tell the world what killed me! I feel I shouldn't have been wasting time on a treadmill. I should have been at the Orange facility with an IV drug that hastens your heartbeat, not wasting time with a test that I was expected to fail to begin with.

From the minute you walk in the energy is negative. They don't greet you and if you have negative side effects to medication Dr Chahal will wait over a week to get back to you and she even will tell you she will call you but won't call you. You will also set an appointment and they will cancel it last minute. And if you don't want to be a patient there anymore, they ignore your calls and won't send you your records and if they do, it takes a month to get records and when they finally sent them, they were blank. Also, I originally made my appointment for Dr. T and when I got there, it was for Dr. Chahal and it's been a terrible experience. Please look for a different location
