I've been under the care of Dr. Buten. I appreciate his efficiency, but also his time to care about my health and goals. I feel like he strikes a great balance with not spending forever at the doctors office, but also gets the job done. I've primarily only visited with him, so can't speak for the PA staff, but think his care is great. He is also very responsive on the portal, which is much easier than calling--love that feature! All of the staff are courteous and nice when I've had to come in. It's somewhat easy to get an appointment within the week or so. Office is clean and organized. Usually don't have to go too often, but glad I've found a place that is comfortable for me to go to!

When I tried to make an appointment it would have been 3 weeks before he had time available. I told them all I needed was to renew my prescriptions. So they told me Alison the PA could help me with that. At least she was able to see me within 5 days. And it didn't start well with her but it ended well. First of all, the chart that she reviewed before seeing me wasn't mine but she corrected it. Second, with the new Memorial Care system, some of my information was missing so I had to let her know how much MG some of my medication was...annoying. What I like about Alison was she was very thorough. She had requested all my lab test and one blood test that was the latest in testing for cancer. Today, I got my results back from Quest (which took 2 weeks), let's see if they follow up on my results. I guess no news is good news. If no one follows up I will definitely switch providers. In the meantime, I'll go on Quest website and see if I can figure it out.

Every request is met with resistance, suspicion, or refusal. She appears more concerned about protecting her license than actually helping her patients, which makes no sense when patients are simply asking for basic care--not anything illegal or inappropriate. As a primary care doctor, answering basic questions and assisting patients should be part of the job. Instead, she questions everything, dismisses concerns, and refuses to help unless something strictly requires her signature. This creates an uncomfortable and frustrating environment for patients who are simply seeking care. The office staff makes the experience even worse. The front office manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. The physician assistant is also disrespectful and unhelpful. Phone calls are often unanswered, and when someone does pick up, staff members are rude, talk over you, or even yell. All they seem to care about is collecting co-pays and billing insurance, not patient care. The only positive person in this entire office is Mina, the Front receptionist. She is kind, respectful, and genuinely willing to help. Unfortunately, she is the only one. My wife and I have both been treated disrespectfully, and after this experience, we will never return. I strongly advise others to choose a different doctor--one who actually listens, respects patients, and is confident enough to provide care without fear. Over the years, Dr. Vesal has treated me for a staph infection as well as respiratory and allergy-related issues. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, caring, and highly competent in his field. His attention to patients and commitment to quality care truly stand out. Hands down, this is the best medical facility I have ever visited.
