Champion Home Inspection did a fantastic, professional job and the customer service that Stephen…read more(the owner) provided went far beyond my expectations. Buying a home is a stressful and EXPENSIVE process so when we started looking for quotes for home inspections, I did my research to make sure we were getting an affordable quote from a trustworthy company. I was given several recommendations to use Champion Home Inspection from realtors, friends, and colleagues in Evansville and I am glad I listened and decided to check them out. I also researched and received quotes from other local inspection companies before deciding on Champion. I decided on Champion because of the 1) Excellent customer service via phone, email and online forms 2) Ease of scheduling via an online calendar that allows you to easily see their availability and decide a time that works for you (once less stress when working with closing schedules) 3) Price - very reasonable especially given the warranties and service they offer 4) The thoroughness of the inspection, detail, and care given and the thoroughness of the reports as well as the transparency of services offered and what to expect. 5) Excellent references and Word of Mouth reviews Stephen was great to work with. After booking, I was sent several reference emails that helped me know what to expect which was extremely helpful as a first time homebuyer. The day of the inspection Stephen was prompt and explained the entire process and was very accommodating about explaining what he was doing and taking time to answer any questions. He even brought us a workbook with paper and pen and printouts for us to write down any questions, takes notes or measure rooms, appliances, windows, etc with a tape measure he supplied. When the inspection was complete he put together an informative recording for us as a general summary in addition to the detail report that was emailed to us and accessible online as well. I cannot recommend Stephen enough. He definitely knows what he is doing in the home inspection industry and was just a pleasure to work with. Plus Champion Home Inspectors also offers various complementary warranties as part of the inspection package such as structural warranties, sewergard warranties, 5-year roof leak protection and mold safe warranties.

He showed up on time, very courteous and professional during our entire interaction. His inspection was incredibly thorough and he made sure to take time at the end to walk me through the entire report explaining all of his findings, making appropriate recommendations and taking ample time to answer my many questions. As a first time solo home buyer he put my worries at ease with his approach, candor and willingness to invest the time in educating a future home owner with all the info and resources I will need. The office staff made the appointment and payment process for seamless and Noah even took time to answer a few questions over the phone after the inspection. Can't say enough wonderful things about my experience!

On Tue, Feb 19, 2019 at 10:14 AM…read more I sent the following email. It is regrettable these items were not included in the original inspection report. I specifically asked that information on items 1,3,4,5 be included in the report but they were no where to be found. Add the following photos to the itemized report and resubmit: 1. Water line 2. Exposed wiring on garage security light. 3. Water damage to ceiling inside utility room cabinets. 4. Water damage inside access panel in utility area. 5. Exposed spliced wires at furnace. 6. Rear window that is "not" caulked. 7. Termite damage inside garage. 8. Furnace filter missing. 9. Three missing GFI outlets in kitchen. Stop payment was issued this morning on check number 5166 pending completion of the inspection report. If you have to write a follow-up email like this, is the business reputable? Are they thorough. Are they even credible? We paid $325 for an inspection that was slanted to the seller's favor instead of ours. In fact, Bill suggested: "You should buy this home." Is it for the inspector to make that suggestion? We found evidence of severe water damage after I "personally" crawled under the house. NOT A SINGLE PHOTO OF THIS DAMAGE WAS INCLUDED IN OUR REPORT. Now, you be the judge.

100% would not recommend. His headliner for his business said " I inspect like i am buying the…read morehome". He in fact does not inspect like he is buying the home. The house we were planning on buying had over 10 big leak spots in the house but because it "wasn't active leaks" after running the water for five minutes it wasn't listed as an area of concern and only minor... The house had multiple locations of missing instillation, mold problems, moisture issues related to hvac pipes, and improper venting and yet it was all listed as "minor". All of these problems are not minor when it comes to purchasing a house. That's thousands of dollars that you could have potentially caused us to not be fixed by the seller. The water heater was also 20 years old and he began trying to tell me (I assume because I was a female) that they can last fifty years. When I corrected you and said no 20 years if you are lucky you then changed what you had said That water heater was on its last leg and none of it was noted in our inspection report. He minimized any problem and put it all under minor. So if you are wanting the buyer to fix issues this is NOT the inspector you want to hire. He downplayed any issue brought up with the house like HE was selling the house! I should have went with my gut and went with full spectrum inspections. Out of three inspectors he was by far the worst. Any big leaks found under the master bath that were pointed out by me were minimized because "every house has leaks". 100% do not recommend if buying a home. I am honestly shocked that this guy has high ratings on other sites. Definitely got paid off by realtors. Watch yourself. *ANY other inspector would have noted that they recommended replacement for the water heater, like our past inspector did in a similar situation.
