My three kids love Rhythms! My older daughter did musicals with them for years and was so into all the awesome instruction and camaraderie. She also took private singing lessons from Amanda and they really paid off when she went to do her MSA audition (and got in!). My younger son just finished his first musical and immediately after the show, his twin brother was so impressed, he asked to do a Rhythms musical too. This studio is the perfect one for our family! It's small and personal and they care about making things FUN for the kids! My daughter has done the musicals there since she was four, as well as some dance classes and camps. She's always excited to go and always excited when she's done. You can tell the teachers really love their jobs, and unlike some studios, the admin (Megan) is super kind, clear and helpful in all studio communications! I seriously don't know what my family would have done without Rhythms during the shut-down--the relationships my kid had with her teachers kept her GOING!! I only wish it were closer to my house. My children have been taking classes at Rhythms Performing Arts for years and we could not be happier. Their classes are fabulous and their instructors meet each child where they are and help them shine. They have a wonderful variety of dance and acting classes for both boys are girls from preschool through high school. The best hidden secret in Novato is the Rhythms Musicals. My son loves doing the performances and has gained such confidence through them. The instructors are so warm, welcoming and fun. I wish I had a place like Rhythms when I was young. When covid hit I was so impressed how Rhythms jumped in and moved all their classes online. They were learning how to do it along with the rest of us but made it seem seamless. As we were allowed to come back to small in person classes they have set up a magnificent outdoor studios and follow all precautions. I am so grateful for Rhythms Performing Arts! read more

My girls have been taking classes at Rhythms for the past two years and have had a great experience! They have participated in the musicals and have taken a variety of dance classes. Amanda, Debbie and Kate are fabulous teachers and make learning and dancing so much fun! They are friendly and positive, and put their full heart into teaching. We just watched our daughter perform in Chicago. Kate did a bang up job directing the students and pulling off a fabulous first live performance since Covid hit. The costumes, acting, dancing, and props were all excellent. My daughter has also taken classes this year from Amanda and loved having her also as a teacher. My daughter started at Rhythms in February. We are new to the Rhythms family and only had a handful of in-person practices before the COVID Shutdowns. Kate and Amanda have done an incredible job at keeping the kids going, despite not being with them physically. I am so impressed with the care and attention that goes to their students. I can honestly say my teen daughter is happiest when she's at the studio. They ooze positivity and make her feel loved and special. I have seen my daughter's confidence grow in all aspects of her life from the couple of years she's been taking classes at Rhythms. She has really benefited from the dancing, singing and acting classes she takes. I really appreciate that Rhythms' instructors are actually teaching her about all aspects of dance and not just learning a routine to perform (though recitals are really amazing and run so smoothly - truly enjoyable for the audience). I can't say enough good things about this studio! Our daughter has been dancing here for 6 years, and looks forward to the fall each year so she can be back with her Rhythms family. I can't say enough about this studio, we hopped around many others before joining Rhythms. The two Ladies who run the studio are so positive and fun and they put an emphasis on learning, body positivity and not competition. They recycle all of their costumes and never ask the parents to shell out for costumes. The costumes are always tasteful and age appropriate. Recently I've been thrilled to see well attended boys classes. There are lots for classes to choose from and they also have an amazing drama and Musical program. My daughter has flourished at this studio, her confidence level is thru the roof and she's made really great friends. I would highly recommend this studio to any and all, from adults to wee ones it's a very all inclusive place to be. read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! Kate, Debbie, Amanda and Megan are top notch with amazing energy and compassion. They love the kids like family. We are so lucky to have found such a wonder, creative and safe place for our daughter. She has built wonderful friendships. We have taken dance, theater, exercise and teen body positive classes. I am constantly amazed at the bonds the kids make with every performance. As the world closed down for COVID-19, Rhythms did not. Classes met via Zoom. We are so thankful. read more

The owner was rude to my daughter and quite frankly to me as well. What ever happened to customer service? We were taking out daughter to another studio in our old home town (it was excellent) and decided to try this one out after our move to the area. Due to the lack of courtesy and the poor quality of teaching (I am not sure where the instructor received her training, but as a dancer myself, it was terrible), I think we will have to keep looking. Great teachers with lots of experience, many dance styles, community environment, a great place for children and teens to develop self-esteem and self-expression! I highly recommend Rhythms! My daughter has been with this studio for 8 years. She began when she was 3 so we have seen the studio grow and flourish over the years. Not only is it a dance studio but they also have 2 musicals a year for all ages - they are fantastic shows! They offer a variety of classes for ages 3 to adult, including all types of dance, acting, voice, fitness and yoga. My daughter dances, participates in the musicals and Dance Company. My favorite thing about Rhythms is their sense of community and emphasis on building friendships. They create a positive and fun environment by bringing all the kids together for special events. They have free monthly parties, field trips and other events that bring all the kids together so they can get to know each other better and their teachers. I find it special how the older girls and boys have always treated the younger ones so nicely. It's always made my daughter feel special and in turn she has friends of all ages at the studio. Everyone really encourages each other in the musicals and classes. Last year they created a free class (SLAY: Strong Loving Accepting Youth) to really promote something they strive for, body positivity. Another thing my daughter really likes is that they place an emphasis on learning and having fun, rather than on strong competition. My daughter is at Rhythms every day except for Sundays and on that day she's bummed she isn't going. She absolutely loves Rhythms. read more
