L2D hosted my daughters 4th birthday party and absolutely crushed it! Roughly 25 kids plus parents/family and they did an amazing job with setup, hosting, and cleanup. Parents came up to us and told us how amazing it was and most importantly, the kids had a blast and were exhausted afterwards. Highly recommend adding the 30 min and bounce house. Best place for a party in Marin! The place is great, clean and they decorate it beautifully for the parties. The help, energy & politeness of Mrs Tara and her staff are endless and they went over and beyond what I would ever expect! First time I enjoyed one of our parties and felt so easy and restful:) All our guests kept on complimenting us on the place we chose, how cute it is, how organizing and the fun everyone had! They want to have their parties there as well. The kids had a blast and I definitely recommend the bouncy house, it is a hit! And no matter the weather you can have a wonderful party inside and/or outside :) No stress about rain or cold. Plenty of space for the kids to play, move, run, and dance. Some parents danced too :) I feel very proud for having my kids' party at the love2dance school and will definitely do it again:) read more

Let me start off by saying Love2Dance has it all. Looking for a ballet class? Check! Looking for a hip hop class? Check! Looking for tap class? Check! Looking for rhythms class? Check! Broadway? Check! Lyrical? Check! Contemporary? Check! Jazz? Check! Stretch? Check! Acrobats? Check! You get my drift, they have it all! They even have a class called little feet for 2 and 3 year old beginners as well as my son's favorite, Hip Hop Ninja. This fantastic studio was started by Novato local, Tara Caprice Broadwater, who is absolutely spectacular. To say she is a pillar of the community would be an understatement of gigantic proportions. She is high energy, super friendly, animated and dedicated to her craft and her kiddos. She always goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone is getting the moves and is included. No boy or girl left behind. Even better she is super active in our Novato community. If our town is having a block party, school activity and/or celebration Love2dance is always front and center participating. They are fabulous performers. They perform At the Marin civic center for their mid year performance as well as the all star team who travels to compete far and wide. But hold your horses, I haven't even gotten to the best part! They host birthday parties! Yes, you heard me. Let me shout it from the rooftops. THEY HOST BIRTHDAY PARTIES! Let me first to vouch that they host the most spectacular parties. They offer a wide variety of themes. Whether you have a princess lover, Jojo Siwa super fan, trolls the movie, Moana singer, cars fanatic, they have about 12 different themes to choose from. And if they don't have a specific need, they also can host with a Happy Birthday theme so that you can custom it as needed. Whether you are inviting ten of your closest friends or family or 30, they have different size studios. You can opt to have a bounce obstacle course or not. Let me say that I've attended at least twenty birthday parties at love2dance over the past four years, and not one has been the same. I wouldn't even say they were similar. The theme, teachers and different activities they offer make each party it's very own celebration. We even attended two love2dance parties in one day, and we were thrilled that they felt completely different. The teachers they have host the parties are kind, talented, engaging and just amazing at keep the kiddos entertained. They take the time to learn all the children's names, which to me is unbelievable. They play fun games like freeze dance, stop on the colored dot (think musical chairs), limbo, Duck, Duck goose and four corners. They often learn a fun little dance routine and really take care of every detail. They make the parties stress free for the parents. They decorate the space, provide plates, napkins and utensils and clean up after the party. Words cannot begin to tell you how much we loved hosting our party at Love2dance. We have always had great experiences with the dance classes here. The owner took a lot of precautions during the pandemic, which I appreciate. I just had my daughter's 6th Birthday Party here. Ms. Tara and her staff made it magical and a snap for Mom. I just rolled in my wagon of food and supplies. She had the tables and decorations all set up and the staff helped me get ever arranged. They kept the kids entertained and the lights out dance at the end was a total hit! One of my daughter's friends told her Mom that it was the best party ever. Would definitely use this birthday venue again. It also can accommodate up to 25 kids, which is helpful. It was also nice to be able to open the garage doors a bit to ventilate and there is an outdoor option during the nicer weather. So glad to see this business survive the struggles of the past few years! read more

Great dance studio for kids to attend. Our grand-daughter loves it. Enjoys the summer camps that are currently being offered, they do art projects, games and of course dance. Clean place, great caring and talented staff, very close to home for us. We are very happy with the program and of course our little grand-daughter loves it there. She comes home and show us what she learned all the moves . I highly recommend this place if you have a child or teen who love music and loves to dance this is their place. read more

What a gem! My daughter took jazz over the summer at this school with Jenn. What a great experience. It worked on improving her memorizing skills, as well as her coordination. On top of that, the teacher was excellent and the dance sequences were well put together. It makes me want to get dancing shoes and do it too. The reason I didn't give the school 5 stars is because not all the teachers were as good as Jenn. She paid attention to the students - instead of going off like a robot without taking into account the audience. You have to pick and choose but it is definitely worth a try. read more

My Daughter is taking the begining tap class over the spring semester. I do not recommend it if you want your child to learn to tap. She did miss the first month of class but there are other children in the class who have been in it since the beginning and none of them can shuffle or flap. There is no effort to teach them the basics of tap nor is there any type of warm up in the beginning of class to go over the basics. I have heard some good things about their hip hop classes but as for tap... I wouldn't waste your money. read more

My kids and I all dance at this studio. Wide range of classes and they put on great shows twice a year. Classes do tend to focus on production numbers, so if looking for purely technique, may not be studio for you. Only downside in my book is that studio is a bit small. BUT, great atmosphere and very convenient. read more

We had my daughter's 4th birthday at Love2Dance and it was such an awesome experience!! I highly recommend having your child's birthday here! Lizzie was the instructor and she played perfect music and kept everything flowing so smoothly, and somehow she was amazingly gentle with the kids and all of them still listened, I think she may have some magic powers! My daughter loves dancing and music, so Love2Dance was the perfect place for her to celebrate her special day and I couldn't have asked for it to go any better then it did! read more

We just had our daughter's 4th Birthday Party here and it was great! I was so impressed with Miss Caroline and how well she was with ALL the kids. She kept them engaged, remembered names instantly and was a great help with food/cupcakes. I highly recommend a birthday party here. Oh, and they provide the decorations, plates, cups, napkins, etc. All you have to do is show up with food and dessert. They even clean up! So awesome! read more

My 3 year old loves this place! The "little feet" class (2-4 year olds) is an excellent introduction to music, rhythm, movement and dance. There is a company performance twice a year at the Civic Center, giving the kids the opportunity to dance on a big stage in front of a big audience-such a great confidence booster! So great to see kids of all ages (2-adult) dance their hearts out up there. Tara, Jen and Co. are wonderful teachers. Can't say enough good things about this place! read more

Love2dance is a great studio with good classes, especially for my kids ( i had a bad experience myself). We have not had classes with all the instructors, but Aimee Dietrich is simply amazing in our experience, and we had Jentesta and she was great too. The place was a bit small and cramped sometimes, but if the classes are not over-crowded, then that doesn't matter much. Plus - they also have more studios now. I wanted to try an adult hip hop class and unfortunately for me, all the dancers of varying levels, from younger to older, were all mixed into one over-crowded group ( some very young and some very good at hip hop combined with brand new beginners like me, and I am 50). It was a 75 minute challenging class, with every-level-of-experience-dancer cramped together into one small space. For someone totally brand new, like myself, it was really pushing my limits. There had been no information about levels for the class, and the teachers, Dawn and Tara, pushed us way beyond what at least I think is wise for a new class. I really injured myself badly, couldn't walk for 2 months, and had to stop my work altogether, since I need to be n my feet for that, without compensation. One thing that also contributed to me injuring and tearing all the ligaments in my ankle was that they did "the hardest part of the dance first", like the instructors explained, that way, "we would have the longest time to practice" the hardest part of the dance before the performance. Of course, in hindsight, that was not the smartest or safest way to do things, when it comes to avoiding injuries... I hope they learned form that class, and I think they did I spoke to Dawn and she seemed to think so too. The instructors were of course very helpful to me once I was injured, especially Dawn, who drove me to the hospital, and helped me home, and also kept calling me and check up on me, but I never heard anything from Tara. When it comes to my 12 year old, she is a larger tall girl who really wants to learn the dances but has to do the younger classes because the other classes are more advanced. What happens then is that she stands out in a group where she is older and taller, so that doesn't always work the best for a preteen who cares about what others think ( as they all do in that age group). We have gotten to the conclusion finally, and my 12 year old has agreed, that it is better to concentrate on learning rather than performing. She is therefore doing a class like that. She has had some issues finding the right classes for her, and many classes are more geared for the better , more flexible dancers, than perhaps those who simply come to learn. It seems they are sometimes all too concerned with the performance at the end of each term than really having students learn dancing. This school is really into showing off their all stars, and the bigger ticket dancers, and of course , therefore, their performances are good. With all that said, and my own disastrous hip hop class, my girls like these classes and their main instructor Aimee and others. So although we have had mixed feelings about some of the things with this school, the overall feeling is that it is fun to dance there. We have not loved 2 dance there but have and are still having fun and enjoy this dance school very much, all the problems aside. read more
