I've worked with Urbana Catering Concepts several times over the years - recently for a big (about…read more200 person) nonprofit, fundraising event that includes heavy hors d'oeuvres for our guests. We've had this event annually for 3 years & we've worked with Urbana Catering Concepts the last two years and we couldn't be happier with our experience from planning, to price, to the food, to the staff at the event. We were far, far happier with Urbana than the caterer we used our first year (in case you're wondering - the first year caterer was Square Rabbit). Chef Vaughn has always been really great about working with us on menu items (making suggestions & being open to ours) and working to keep us within our budget. For example - we needed a few vegan options at our event this year and Vaughn had great ideas! Since using Urbana for this event we've heard nothing but great things about the food and I can't say enough good things about the staff. They are amazingly friendly & helpful - they kept everything looking good throughout the event and even kept our donated dessert area cleaned up and looking nice. We are looking forward to working with them again next year. In summary - great food. great price. great people.

He created a well rounded menu that my colleagues continue to rave about. He took care of all the details, set up, serveware and utensils, and clean up. He brought a bartender/assistant, and they kept food trays full and debris controlled. And all for an extremely reasonable price. I have zero complaints!

The order you see is what we usually get. I would order the cheese on the side if you want crispy! Curly fries are better. Paninis are awesome. You can't go wrong with anything here tbh. The protein shakes too! This is a staple for us in RTP. Worth the drive every time. Thank you for being open late, our main gripe with NC is food closes SO early. Ambiance is fast casual deli pick up style! Maybe like 6 tables and a bar seating near window.

Philly cheesesteak was the best, seconded by chicken-over-rice. Mixed rice platter was not the best, as compared to other local options. Seating area was good along with so many soda / juice options to choose from. Ambience was not the best during my last trip. I was with my kids & the songs being played on the tv (but only audio & lyrics) were not appropriate for kids at all. I thought it would be one song & that'll be it. But no one at the Deli noticed that there are kids here too, and kept on playing it. I had to take my kids out & had them wait in the car until I pick up the food to-go. It wasn't even that late at night - I believe it was around 6 or 7pm when we went. Service was strictly OK - nothing exceptional or something that I'll remember. I may return because of good food, but definitely not with kids anymore.

I switched from Whole Foods to Weaver Street Market back in 2012, and then when the Durham Food Co-op opened I started going there also; however, without a car the distance just got to be too much. It was nice sometimes to read the news on my phone while on the bus system, but I decided it just took too much time, energy, and effort to go from Raleigh to Chapel Hill or from Raleigh to Durham for food shopping. So the system I have now is to buy grains and other non-perishables from Thrive Market and then fresh produce via Papa Spud's. The first order that I made from Papa Spud's was in February of 2017. I like the newsletters that they include in every box and I read them when the box arrives. There's news about farms in the area and farming, recipes, storage tips and other content. So other than that a few times I was away and forgot to cancel the order in time. But I still remembered before the actual delivery. So I just let them know that far enough in advance and they could just donate the box to charity. I had to pay for the food, but I didn't have to deal with a box of spoiled food when I got back that could attract bugs, etc. And plus the box went to charity. Overall I'd say it's been good quality. In terms of quality I remember that Papa Spud's ran a newsletter piece about food waste and people's expectations of what food ought to look like. They pointed out that a lot of food that wouldn't be likely to cause a health problem in a human nevertheless gets thrown away (or possibly eaten by animals) because people don't want to buy it and eat it. Or when they are at a grocery store they decide to pick something else. Maybe say for example because it is oddly shaped. Or another example would be that purple carrots may not sell as well in a store than orange carrots. Looking in the history section of the Wikipedia article on carrot one can see that carrots actually can range in color. There is a photo there with carrots of all different colors arranged in a circle. In the article it talks about the question of whether orange carrots were grown in the 17th century by Dutch growers to honor the Dutch flag (which was orange as it was based on the flag of Prince William of Orange-Nassau). So I had heard that before. A person by the name of Jonathan Bloom who lives in Durham wrote a book called American Wasteland about food waste in the United States which made similar points to the Papa Spud's newsletter article. Even so I could comment that they provide a way for customers to let them know if food arrives in a damaged state. I could say that I have used that so far on one occasion when I saw some mold on a strawberry. Rob M. also responded in a comprehensive way to a question that I had related to the extent of tobacco farming in the area. I read a bit about organic tobacco farming some time ago. As far as I know there hasn't been any major finding that smoking organic tobacco doesn't have the same health effects as smoking conventional tobacco. One final comment is that there are other delivery services. So doing Google searches I landed on a website called LocalHarvest.org (my brother works at the University of British Columbia Farm and had heard of the site). There was a review of one of the delivery services which stated that this provider doesn't say the source farm for the produce. The review said that they didn't want to use that because of labor conditions at certain farms. Papa Spud's will report the name of the farm although there isn't any way to search for a particular farm. In my case I'm often just buying the same veggies from the same farms (sweet potatoes, collards, kale from Wise Farms and Cox Farms). I believe I also purchased from both of their farm stands when I used to go to the North Carolina State Farmers Market. I don't know the labor conditions on all the different farms in the area, but I think it was that review that led me to pick Papa Spud's.

customer service could use a lot of work. Not helpful and condescending when we were trying to…read moreremedy the situation, which was just simply giving them our new credit card information. Big bummer. We went with another local instead.

A nice and lively event with DJ Soul playing the music. I strolled past all the food trucks, checking out their wares, and you can tell that the celebration was winding down. I didn't realize 'till at the last minute that they had a hard shutdown at 4 o'clock! I rushed over to the Copperheads Craft Burger food truck as they were closing & cleaning up. Mind you, by this time, I was looking desperate, and I asked the owners if they could please drop me a quick meal on the grill; but I could see that they had already cleaned the grill up. I felt so bad in asking them at closing time (yes y'all...I was one of those people...lol), but surprisingly, the Cook felt sorry for me and cooked me one of their Classic burgers, even threw in fries and a coke. It was out so fast, I thought surely, this burger is gonna be half raw. So, I grabbed up my burger and fries and sat down to what I thought would be rushed meal. OMG y'all...I bit into the burger and it was sooooo friggin' moist & tender with all of these succulent juices flowing out of it! Oooo Weeee -- the flavor profile was tickling my discerning palate in ways I did not expect from a burger...and he had the nerve to put bacon on it too...c'mon man! I was smiling from the inside like I had discovered gold! I apologize for not having pictures, but I was eating the food so fast, the camera would've only captured crumbs, and y'all know ain't nobody got time for that! If you guys ever get a chance to catch these guys out and about, please do yourself a favor and buy everything. It is just that good and I just want to give them a Super Shoutout for being so gracious and kind to me. God Bless #copperheadscraftburgers #springfoodtruckrodeo #durhamcentralpark

I'm just confused at how you're running a food truck for food that's to go without any to-go trays. Had I known this before paying I wouldn't have ordered here. This was a difficult ride home and everything was semi saggy. Please improve the to go experience. Everyone isn't eating in 90 degree temps or even inside our vehicles. This is too messy to not have to go options. Offer some convenience to paying customers who took the time to support your food truck. I know times are tough but this is unfair to customers.
