Food is amazing. Halal Chicken you can tell it's halal. Service is so quick and friendly they have lots of drinks to pick from and a nice TV. They have pastries too. The order you see is what we usually get. I would order the cheese on the side if you want crispy! Curly fries are better. Paninis are awesome. You can't go wrong with anything here tbh. The protein shakes too! This is a staple for us in RTP. Worth the drive every time. Thank you for being open late, our main gripe with NC is food closes SO early. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos both times I went there with family. We ordered mixed (halal) platters, chicken-over-rice & philly cheesesteak sandwich. Philly cheesesteak was the best, seconded by chicken-over-rice. Mixed rice platter was not the best, as compared to other local options. Seating area was good along with so many soda / juice options to choose from. Ambience was not the best during my last trip. I was with my kids & the songs being played on the tv (but only audio & lyrics) were not appropriate for kids at all. I thought it would be one song & that'll be it. But no one at the Deli noticed that there are kids here too, and kept on playing it. I had to take my kids out & had them wait in the car until I pick up the food to-go. It wasn't even that late at night - I believe it was around 6 or 7pm when we went. Service was strictly OK - nothing exceptional or something that I'll remember. Went at lunch time not too crowded, nice parking lot and clean interior with lots of options to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful even with the line inside. I ordered the chicken over rice. For the 20 minutes it took to make it was so so, not bad but not good. The chicken was cooked very good, but everything lacked seasoning including the dressing. I found my meal to be very watery overall (this was take out and i took the lid off in the car to avoid condensation) I would come here again to try something different, but make sure i have enough time for lunch or order ahead. read more

The staff seemed pleasant and helpful. Explaining that everything is housemade. The space was well lit. Some tables needed to be cleaned. They were super busy. I had the chopped cheese, sweet potato fries and a green land smoothie. I enjoyed the green land smoothie which contained spinach, mango, banana, and honey I chose almond milk over apple juice. Very good! The chopped cheese was OKAY, could have used equal parts protein and bread but it left so much more to be desired. Everything "house-made"- I beg to differ. Based on my personal experience, many of the food items were not prepared on site. - Sweet potato fries - Onion rings - The individual with me said the burger was that of a frozen beef patties. While the food was decent I could've enjoyed far better at home preparing it myself. Overall, this is likely a good go to for many but not for me. I do not recommend Grill & Go Deli if you're seeking a good chopped cheese. The smoothies are a good go to if there isn't anything else around in the area that's convenient. This place is a gem! This is my first time finding a bodega style place in Raleigh and it did not disappoint. My friend and I found a video of Grill & Go on instagram and ran to try it immediately. We got a chopped cheese, smoothie, combo over rice, beef sausage, egg, and cheese bagel, and a pistachio cake. The star of the show EASILY was the chopped cheese. This was a 10/10. We also loved the sausage egg and cheese in the bagel, except next time we'd ask for it with more cheese. The lamb and chicken over rice was good, but not the best around to me... however it is still worth the try. The pistachio cake was super moist, fluffy, and delicious. Not sure the exact name of the cake but we ate every bite. The smoothies were really fresh and refreshing- not very sweet but that's because it was just straight blended fruit. The prices were great and portions were too. The food didn't take long to come out either. The only downside to our experience here was that their AC goes out so it felt like we were eating in a sauna. Other than that, the meal was delicious and I'll definitely be back. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Mom was waiting in the car so I rushed in and picked out something randomly for both of us. The restaurant is absolutely adorable and has TONS of drinks on display and fresh dessert. Mom and I just got a panini each and went home to eat. Yall. I was ready to go back for seconds. I texted my man to see if he wanted what I just ate before heading back home. Great new spot. Delicious NY favorites like chopped cheese, bacon egg and cheese, chicken and lamb over rice. It's all very good at a reasonable price! I think the best value has to be the burgers, they come with fries and are only 9.99. They have some cool drinks in their cooler. The staff is friendly and helpful, even when they get busy. I love the esthetics of the inside. It's like a super high end bodega with a mural of the NY subway system. Plenty of seating for individuals or small groups. They have their own parking lot which is definitely a plus in this area. They also take Hillsborough Street dollars! read more

I heard about Grill &Go deli on instagram. Made a stop in while on lunch. I notice they served chopped cheeses. Which are one of my favorites. The chop cheese was nicely prepared. It was hot and fresh. Not overly cheesy and well seasoned. The bread was perfect as well. Their fries were fresh and not greasy. The service was friendly and inviting. I did have 4 stars and now I'm going down to 3. I missed the halal I got in Charlotte and this was the closest I've found to it and ever since I've been going here and it's been great, no problems ! I chose to go today and they've made some changes according to the lady, THIS PAST WEEK suddenly with zero signage .. they now charge 50 cents per sauce on the side even tho they only put a little on top, they can at least do one on the side complimentary .. not sure why this changed but doesn't make sense. Not only that but the lady that was in there was rude, didn't greet us or anything. Probably was mad about me saying something about the price over the phone but hey. Not only do they charge for sauce now but the chicken and rice price went up AND THE PORTION SHRUNK BAD. Who raises prices but lowers the portion size ?
