Cautionary Review - Incomplete Diagnostic We contacted Ricco's Plumbing due to a strong gas/CO-related odor coming from our gas range and concerns for safety. Before the visit, we were told the gas line would be tested (including bubble testing). When the technician arrived, the visit lasted under 10 minutes and consisted mainly of conversation. No bubble test, pressure test, or diagnostic equipment was used during that visit. We were billed $99, and the invoice stated the "gas line is fine," despite no testing being performed at that time. After we raised concerns, follow-up communication acknowledged that: * The odor appeared to be coming from the rear vents of the oven * Ricco's Plumbing does not work on appliances * We should contact TECO for further evaluation Given the seriousness of potential gas or carbon monoxide issues, we expected a more thorough diagnostic approach during the initial visit. We ultimately requested a refund because services beyond a brief discussion were not rendered. Staff were polite and responsive, but for gas or CO concerns, customers should confirm exactly what testing will be performed before scheduling. read more

We had a stove delivered on Sunday and their install techs couldn't accomplish the task at hand. Gave Ricco's a call and Marc and Maria were out within the hour to finish what Lowe's could not. Thank God for small miracles... turned out that more needed to be done to "fit" the stove into its spot. Very reasonable price, timely install and quite personable to boot. I am going to warn you this is a little lengthy, and still does not contain all the details. I called to have a toilet reset and have them figure out why my water was not working in my shower. They were full till the following week so I asked if you have a cancellation will you call and come sooner. I gave my address and told them it was in a mobile park, They called and came a few days later. The wife tagged along with the husband. Pleasant enough, but I think it was to keep him calm. He seemed to be quite agitated from the moment he arrived. He did not want to reset the toilet ti Telling me it didn't need it. I showed him the seepage from under the toilet and he finally agreed. Of course the ring was rotting away and was indeed leaking. Now on to the shower. He removed the faucet and still not knowing what was wrong he said I need to look from the other side is that accessible. I said yes and showed him we had to remove the wall that was just nailed up. Easy to do. The support board for the shower was nailed and he ripped it out which ripped up my shower wall. Which is not a easy fix. He was not happy. He finished changing out the faucet fixed a leak in the hose. Turned back on the water and now the other side had a leak. This is all being scaled down as to not make this a long story. By this time they had been here on and off for four hours. They had left to go fix a leak for another guy and also went to the store for a part. Now when the new leak sprung on the other side he sad he could not fix it he was done and through what ever was in his hands grabbed his bag, told his wife to get the other stuff walked out the door. His wife scrambling to get stuff together says to me I don't know what to charge you. I said I had two hundred cash and she said ok I'll go see when we can come back. She got in the van and left with my two hundred dollars. Never came back in. Silly me thinking they were coming back. This is the email I received the next morning from the wife copied and pasted. This was the text I got from the plumber that walked off the job. It's a little long and so unprofessional Good morning, praying for a solution . please!! ‍ God help us. We thank you for the solution & the answer ahead of time. We try everything we possibly could to help you. The mobile home is just very hard to repair . Polybutylene pipe. I'm calling mobile depot to see if there's any solution and a fitting that could repair. Will do everything we can to make this a good final outcome. We were with you every step of the way yesterday. We knew that you couldn't afford to totally repipe and take out all the existing plumbing and put in new plumbing. We were just trying to do everything we could to keep the budget. And get you a hot shower.. Our hearts are in the right place but it just got to a point where we do not see a solution. I could get into greater detail explaining. To help you understand. 3/8 polybutylene fittings. I'll update you if there's a way to repair. Needless to say I have yet to hear a word from them. He left my house this plumber, with a leaking hose in my wall! I forgot to say I called someone in the park to help me just to stop the leak till I knew what was gonna happen with the so called plumber. He came over called another guy they went to Lowe's got the 3/8 ths pipe fitting and fixed the leak in about 15 minutes. read more

So this review comes with some good news. If you need a plumber in the Parrish area call this Husband and Wife dynamic duo! We were stressing out after we removed the old washer and dryer that came with our house in effort to save a little cash and not have to pay the big box store the removal fees. Well wouldn't you know the contractors used a shock block pressure relief valve with levers instead of a gated steam. The lever broke off and we had to shut the main off to remove the Washer. After lots of frustration with dealing with sub standards parts we removed the W&D and went back to turning the water back on. Well this the ball inside the valve was a three way and the water sprayed across the launder room like fire fighter had busted through the wall. It's 3:30 pm and I'm scrambling to find anyone to help. I initially passed on them since it was only a one review business but I tried them after others with lots rating passed cause it was close to quitting time. Maria answered the phone and I briefly explained to her what the issue was. She was relaying it to her husband Mark who was actively working on something in the background. She asked if I could call her back on her cell so I could send pictures to her and they would look and see if they could help tonight. They sent me a text to let me know they had three possible solutions and they would be there today!! Sweet!! They get here and get underway. They start by explaining what they can do in all three cases and we agreed on the best solution for us. The only drawback was he would have to cut the sheetrock out to get at these valves since they were just spinning around. So he huffed and huffed and Maria ran for this and got that and together they got the job down with in under an hour. All in for a wicked fair price. I will be telling everyone how good they were and I would strongly recommend them but that's should be apart from my review. read more
