REPLACED OLD WATER HEATER Our hot water wasn't getting hot. Hubby attempted to change the WH element but the shutoff valve broke. Water everywhere! Oopsie. Turned out the WH was from 2001! Old brittle pvc pipes. Opted for a plumber. SO GLAD we were referred to Johnson & Sons, a family business. First call to them was at 4pm. Steve, part owner and also works, immediately gave us a great bid just by my sending pics of the WH label and the unit and placement. We got a bid from Lowes/ARS too, but it was several hundred dollars higher, and the phone communication was so confusing. Johnson & Sons communication was great, and clearly knew all about plumbing. Bid came on text. Easy to pay half down-payment by text. Steve promised we'd have hot water by the next afternoon and delivered. The two guys who came were polite, knowlegeable, and worked steadily. Checked the fuse box for proper load first. Got the old unit right out and cheerfully cleaned up my spilled orchid mulch mess that was decomposing under there. New unit installed, working perfectly. Hubby knows about plumbing and confirmed it was an excellent job. They hosed and swept the concrete where my mulch tracked. Left our place cleaner than they found it! Steven, the owner, completed a large plumbing repair job for us today. He was quick to respond to us upon calling him and came to inspect the job and give us a quote the very next day. The price was very fair, and he clearly explained what was needed. He is very knowledgeable and has a high standard of excellence that is rarely seen today. We had problems with our sump pump and I called Steve of Johnson & Sons Plumbing. He answered his phone quickly and we scheduled an appt (not a dire emergency). He arrived at the appointed time, assessed the problem, needed to order a part and we scheduled a day the following week for the floater to be installed. Steven is knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. He answers & returns calls promptly and shows up on time, and kept me updated when he didn't know how long a prior job would take. This company responded within minutes of our request. We got an itemized quote which we felt was very reasonable. We had our 1st communication on Saturday 4/11/26 and Monday (today) 4/13/26 they were here at 8:45 am to deliver/install & haul away the old tank already. We paid 1/2 the cost up front and the balance before they left this morning. Fortunately, they take credit cards ! I would totally recommend them for any plumbing needs. Excellent Customer service, especially when a few things went wrong. The original plumbing we had in a bathroom that we are remodeling had been installed Incorrectly. Johnson and Sons reinstalled the pipes correctly immediately so the progression of the project didn't come to a halt. We wanted to add a freestanding stone bathtub in our master bathroom.
