There was some wetness around downstairs toilet and it took about 5 minutes to replace the wax ring. We were told that a person would schedule for the pipe repair. Seeing that we were charged $ 800 for a basic service , we decided to dig ourselves. No break!! Just a lot of work for us and a high price for the wrong diagnosis! As always! Buyer be ware! While they were here I inquired about having them remove an old insert in our Living Room Fireplace. No problem for these two guys! They quickly and cleanly removed the heavy monster insert. Zach then checked out the stonework, chimney liner, and damper of the restored Fireplace and said that all was good. He only found a minor gap that can easily be filled with high temperature mortar. They'll be back at a later date to do the repair. I couldn't be happier with the work that this brother team did on our two fireplaces. I continue to highly recommend Chimney Doctor! They "Ain't just Fireplaces and Chimneys!" Chimney Doctor also sells wood for burning, cut, split, seasoned AND delivered at reasonable prices! They used "scare tactics" and appeared dishonest at best! They showed me scratches which were barely on the surface and cosmetic at best. Their estimate was a ridiculous $6,700 for a repair which was too totally unnecessary!!! I luckily got a second opinion from a more reputable chimney company. The honest person loudly Said "scam!" There was absolutely nothing wrong with my chimney!!!! I bought a Quality built stove from this reputable company and i am happy with how it heats my house I am thoroughly disgusted with what I feel is the downright dishonesty of this company. I feel they tried to pull a fast one on a senior citizen! My advice and opinion is that you never trust this company and always get a second opinion! I feel they are scammers and prey upon the unwary!
