Super easy to make a tee-time. Go to the website and chose the date/time/number of players and after creating an account, you're done. Sort of surprising that they don't make you put a card in to hold the time like several other courses do on their reservation portals, but because of what comes next, I understand why. buttervalley.teesnap.net/ A few observations: Make sure you read the fine print that the rates listed are cash only rates. If you're paying with a card, you will eat their processing charges. The course for being in January was in about as good of shape as you could expect. Good amount of mud along the pathways between holes, most of the greens were like concrete, most of the cups were filled with ice, etc. Supposedly, we had the second tee time of the day, yet magically, there were already four groups of four out playing. Hmmmm? The first few holes were log jammed but eventually the spacing thankfully improved on it's own and things got better. Here are my two pet peeves. None of the markers were out. Orange tee is where? White tee is where? The yellows were there but anything else required a bit of guess work. Here's the biggie. The yardage for the holes. The score card says X. The stone marker at the hole says Y. A few of the holes (a few par 3's from what I remember) have a marker in the ground at the tee which says Z. Why is it this confusing to just list what the yardage actually is versus having a 20-40 yard swing? Conceptually, Butter Valley is basically the cousin to Sawmill in Easton. Is this course really 4 stars? Probably not, but, I'll give it to them because they stay open year round which is a plus and you cannot beat their winter pricing to walk 18. We'll be back.

Good layout. Tee boxes were mud, no grass 8/20/25. Price was reasonable but overall course…read morecondition was fair at best.

There are several different dining areas including an outside terrace, outside bar and patio, fireside lounge, and a more formal dining room. Regardless of where you choose to eat request Linda as your server. You won't regret it. She's funny, attentive, and knows her members very well. The menu changes seasonally but is always filled with fresh, innovative, and delicious dishes As someone who suffers a celiac disease I was very pleased to find the summer 2014 menu listed "gluten-free" next to the appropriate dishes. Although most people with celiac disease are aware of what they can and cannot eat, it's really nice to see a country club go the extra mile and make their gluten-free guests more comfortable when selecting a meal. Moving on to golf. Even as a guest of a member at the club, I have always felt welcome on the driving range and taken care of by staff when picking out left-handed clubs to use.

We had a great 18 holes. The price is very reasonable for what is provided. The staff we encountered at the pro shop was very friendly and helpful telling us about the course. The cart pick up/ return guy was very nice and helpful as well. The course was perfect for our experience level.

We knew there was bad weather in the forecast, but it wasn't supposed to hit until later. By the time we got to the 4th hole the sky started to open up and the thunder and lightning started. Didn't want to risk anyone's safety so we drove back to the pro shop to ask what our options were. I no more than walk through the door, and the same clown looks at me and barks "we are shutting everything down!". I said yea, I understand that's why I'm stopping in, then asked if they are pulling everyone of the course. His response was yes, so I asked was there anyway we could get a voucher or something to come back at a later date. His response was "for what?!" And points at the no refunds for inclement weather sign on the counter. I understand the policy, but 1. there's no reason for that much of a bad attitude 2. If you're shutting down the course you should offer something especially if it's thunder and lightning, not just rain. I've played here multiple times and unfortunately will not be returning.
