Probably the very few honest dentists still in practices in NoVA. Our family moved to NoVA 13 years ago, and have seen over 2 dozen dentists since. So far, the Peyser father and son team are the only dentists we visited that do not recommended us to do unnecessary work. I knew they are honest because my brother is a dentist and I always check with him whenever my dentist suggested restoration works like root canal, crown or even filling. What a great dentist! Dr. Brian Peyser and his assistant Pedro have done a great job of helping me through some challenging dental emergencies. Dr. Brian helped me by phone even though it was the weekend and the path he suggested resolved the problem. Office staff is great and I never have to wait more than 3 minutes. I have been seeing Dr. Brian Peyser for the past 5 years now and have loved going to the dentist ever since. Who likes going to the dentist? nobody. But if you barely know somebody is all up in your grill (literally).. then it's not so bad. That is honestly why I have stuck with Dr. Brian. Found myself the other night in serious tooth pain and searching for a dentist to save me. Of course turned to Yelp and ended up finding Dr.Brian Peyser. Called first thing when they opened and had a lovely lady let me know they had an opening a 10:30,which was perfect! She was wonderful and welcoming and made me feel less scared of going to check out my tooth pain. When I arrived I was greeted right away and after doing my paperwork, I was escorted back. I was an hour early, and the sweet assistant still called me back to talk about my teeth and take a look. She was very friendly and made it such a relaxing and refreshing experience. Once Dr. Brian came in he was beyond personable and welcoming. As I havent been to the dentist in years, he didnt make me feel like I was a horrible person. Throughout the whole procedure he made sure I wasnt in pain and was comfortable. Literally it was the best , painless dentist visit ever! You could tell he loves what he does and isnt money hungry! I've been going here since I first had teeth. First off, the facility is very clean and neat. It is on the floor of a nice apartment building so it isn't going to scare you away and look like something out of a horror movie. Dr. Peyser is absolutely fantastic and all of his assistants are great too. My insurance covers the cleanings and work and the people at the front desk will always remind you that you have an appointment. I really don't know what all more to write. This dentist is awesome! My husband and I see Dr. Brian Peyser, (father/son practice) and the service seriously could not get any better. My experience with dentist offices runs the gamut from terrific to terrible and this is as good as it gets. Flexible hours, open late a few days per week, not a long wait once you get there, awesome office staff, great dental assistants, reasonably priced, etc. Everything you could possibly want. And the best part? They don't try to sell you loads of unnecessary shit! They ARE very thorough, however. We are moving to Honduras in August and they took extra x-rays (free of charge of course) to make DAMN sure they aren't missing any cavities or anything, because as you can imagine, they didn't want to send me to a third world country with problems and possibly have to fix the fuck-up of some dentist who was trained in god knows where. If you are looking for a dentist in the D.C. area, I highly recommend them. read more

Absolutely wonderful experience with a dental office that is no BS and doesn't try to sell you unnecessary preventative dental work. I had visited another dental office two weeks ago that informed me of a cavity and several fillings which have cracked (or some similar diagnosis, I really don't know)... and walked out with a $600 quote. I had already scheduled an appointment to have work done, but was skeptical and decided to go seek a second opinion. I had originally found Dr. Peysers' practice on Yelp, but I also sent a plea from my Facebook went out asking for any dentist referrals and my friend recommended the same practice. Great experience today with my second cleaning in two weeks. The hygienist was awesome and reassuring. I can officially relish at having the cleanest mouth in all of the National Capital Region. Dr. Peyser didn't find any cavities and I got a referral to an orthodontist. I'm pleased that I've found my dental office in Falls Church and first dentist since I left the military that didn't try selling me preventative work! read more

To help with location: their office is actually inside the Eaves apartment complex. You drive through the gate and park in any of the parking spots near the entrance to the apartments. THEIR entrance, however, is through a smaller black awning with a white sign out front just to the right of the main apartment entrance. Once you go through the door, it's the office on the left. When I first walked in, the girl at the front was sweet. She addressed me by name (I was a new patient by the way) and had me fill out the appropriate forms. Because of being a newer patient and having appointments around my scheduled time, I didn't get in RIGHT away but the people who were coming in who were regulars were accommodated immediately so I didn't take it personal. Once I got in, Dani was my cleaning dentist. She was great. She asked me "are you okay?" a lot to make sure I was gagging and/or drowning from X-rays or water pools from the cleaning. She also pointed out to me in pretty good detail the flaws in my X-rays and didn't try to scare me at all. She also recommended some nifty products that would help with my flossing condition and sensitive teeth. Brian Peyser came in and introduced himself to me and used the "have you been here before, I swear you have a doppelgänger" trick on me. Nice try Brian, but it was clever and I felt immediately welcomed. He was short, precise, and to the point about exactly what Dani had told me so I knew they were about their business. I have already confirmed a 6 month checkup with them and will be coming here each and every time I need service. read more

I saw Dr. Brian Peyser this morning. he was fantastic. I have a lot of dentist-anxiety, but he was very calm and professional and worked hard to keep me at ease. I haven't been to the dentist in approximately 2-3 years, since I really don't like it. But, I'm excited to go to my 6-month cleaning. I had one cavity, and they scheduled me for early next week, so I don't have to wait long. I look forward to continuing with Dr. Peyser far into the future. I HIGHLY recommend this practice. I was a little apprehensive about finding it. It's in the tall building across from the Whole Foods plaza. You drive up through the gates and if you're looking at the building, they have a ground floor entrance to the right of the main entrance. They must have gotten a new receptionist, because the woman this morning was pretty pleasant and seemed pretty professional. read more

I recently moved here and went to this dentist a few times. Dr. Brian is very professional and friendly. I really like him. But I had a cleaning with Romaine yesterday. Don't know what people were talking about. She was very rough on me, not gentle at all. Made me rinsed so many times throughout the cleaning. She didn't use any hose to clean all the stuff out of my mouth. Terrible experience with her. I feel so painful after cleaning with her. Today I'm still in pain. I will never let her do my cleaning again. She is not professional at all!!! read more

My appointment was with Brian Peyser for a routine checkup. My hygienist was thorough and nice. Dr. Peyser seemed to think I should get full x-rays but my hygienist did not. If Dr. Peyser felt they were necessary, I would have liked to have had them done (we did do check-up x-rays, however.) My cleaning was pretty standard. I've always gotten fluoride in the past (I was told this is a more "conservative" office and that fluoride isn't necessary for adults). After the hygienist finished, Dr. Peyser examined my teeth and answered my questions. Small detail, but I didn't get a free toothbrush (this has been pretty standard for me elsewhere). Granted they aren't a "child" theme dentist office - they sure do cater to kids :o) Our little girls love them! We have been for cleanings several times - Romaine does a wonderful job - I may not like the taste of the baking soda treatment, but boy do my teeth whiten! I've been a loyal patient of Dr. Peyser since I moved back to the area 5 years ago. My appointments are always honored on-time. The hygienist is friendly and thorough. The admin staff is helpful. They let me pay off my retainers in installments, and they even helped me fight my insurance co. on a claims dispute. Dr. Peyser himself is great too. Their office is pretty small and low-tech, but that doesn't bother me one bit. If you're looking for a regular ol' dentist, he's your man. read more

Dr. Peyser is a very skilled dentist. Our daughter had kind of a complex tooth deformity in the front, and Dr. Peyser was able to basically build a new tooth for her, for a very reasonably price I might add. When we went back to our orthodontist to have a new retainer made, he was so impressed by our daughter's new tooth, that he is going to refer his patients to Dr. Peyser now! read more

I take good care of my teeth, but often avoid the dentist because they always seem to try to upsell you on what you need done. I visited the Peyser practice, and was so pleasantly surprised by how thorough, pleasant, knowledgable and conservative the dentist was that I can honestly say they are my favorite dentist office ever.
