I specifically requested liposuction multiple times, as my previous surgeon included it and it was necessary for symmetry, but Dr. Chapin told me it was not needed. It was not performed, and my thighs show no improvement. The extended incision now protrudes even more than before. I spent $3,500 on the thigh revision with absolutely no positive change. I also only agreed to the upper and lower back lift because Dr. Chapin strongly recommended them, assuring me they would significantly improve my contour. These were not procedures I sought out myself. After spending an additional $12,000, the results are extremely minimal and not at all reflective of what was described to me. What stands out most is how dismissive Dr. Chapin was of my concerns. From my very first follow-up, I expressed dissatisfaction, yet my concerns were brushed aside again and again. At my most recent scheduled appointment--where the office was already 20 minutes behind--I was told Dr. Chapin "didn't have time" to discuss my thigh issues and still perform scar injections, and that I had to pick one. This was a scheduled visit specifically meant to address my post-op needs, and being told there wasn't time to even discuss my concerns was incredibly disrespectful and invalidating. Anytime I pressed for answers or expressed that I was unhappy with the results, I was essentially told there was nothing that could be done and to "be happy with your body." This felt dismissive, minimizing, and completely out of line considering I had been raising the same concerns from the beginning and had invested significant money into procedures that produced little to no improvement. He is incredibly kind and funny, but more importantly he listens to your concerns and talks through everything with you. I told him I was in grad school and I felt like he truly cared - he would ask how it's going at every post-op visit. He's just a good person. On top of that though, he is a fantastic surgeon. My scar is a thin, faded, straight line now one year post op. My belly button looks natural. All of that is notoriously hard to achieve. I am so happy with my results. Dr. Chapin also PAID FOR MY UBER right out of surgery because I came to Doylestown from Philly and he knew I was a rather poor student. He didn't want me to worry about it while I was still groggy from the anesthesia. He is just a gem of a human, and an incredible surgeon. At my first appointment, Dr. Z sat with my husband and me and walked us through everything: the reconstruction process, the surgical options, and every question I could think of. His calm, thorough approach immediately put me at ease and I felt very comfortable with him and knew I was going to be in good hands. Because I'd had radiation on my left breast 10 years earlier, he explained that a latissimus muscle flap would be needed to support an implant. Wanting the best symmetry possible, we chose to do bilateral latissimus flaps. Through every step--pre-ops, surgeries, recovery--Dr. Z, his surgical nurse Christy, and the entire staff were compassionate, attentive, and truly wonderful. Today, I'm extremely happy with my results and deeply grateful. I highly recommend Dr. Zavitsanos.

For many years, I have hated the size and my body when I look in the mirror. I never wanted larger breasts than I asked for. Dr. Lo is misogynistic and uses patriarchal control over women to get what he wants and to get his after photos to his liking; disregarding a woman's mental health, bodily autonomy and well being. Here I am, and for many years I have not had the money to fix them to how I personally wanted them originally. For myself. I have been in a lot of emotional pain for many years. (As well as a sub muscular tear which made my breast migrate into my armpit. I know the size must have contributed. I have never lifted heavy weights). I wanted to have small breasts all along and I believe I'd look great with them. Dr Lo's opinion of how he thinks a woman's body should look is degrading and speaks volumes about the type of man he is. A woman's voice is SO IMPORTANT when going under the knife, under anesthesia. No matter the shape or size of a woman, we glow most beautifully when we love ourselves in our body, get to have our own independence and be able to think for ourselves. No man should be able to take over you as soon as he puts you out and make MAJOR life altering decisions. Do not trust Dr. Lo with your body, he is just going to do what he wants or what he thinks "looks better" for you. And you might just wake up confused, in pain and unhappy for the next 20 years.

Wide eyed and bushy tailed, I walked into my initial consultation several years ago and inquired about breast implants. I was determined to not have scars (shame on me for not doing more research; however, I trusted the "professionals"). They're great until something goes wrong or you are unhappy. First of all, under the armpit incisions are not the best way to go about putting something into the chest cavity. I mentioned I had some nerve damage and couldn't feel my entire arm down to my pinky for a year post procedure and was told this was caused by something else (not true) it was nerve damage from the implants, which has left me with numbness and arm pain to this day. The implants were also slightly squished after getting an MRI and were too large for my body as a whole. Almost immediately after I had this procedure, I experienced a wide array of symptoms, starting with the nerve damage, numbness and hair loss. I was a bodybuilder prior to the procedure and afterwards, could not do push ups or chest workouts anymore due to the damage they caused. The implant would freeze and almost cramp on the side I had issues with. After three years of Breast Implant Illness symptoms and nearly my entire body shutting down, I knew I had to do something after ruling nearly everything else out. I called and asked if Dr. Lo did implant removal and was told I could come in for a consultation. At this point, I was desperate to just have my life back. It was so bad that I could barely walk some days - from brain inflammation, to mitochondrial damage, hair loss, food allergies, brain fog, the list goes - Breast Implant Illness IS REAL. I went in for my consultation and was nearly in tears because I could hardly function and never knew what the day would bring only to have Dr. Lo smirk and mock what I was telling him. I said "are you mocking me?" And he stated he is a traditional doctor and treats symptoms. He said he could do the removal then back tracked and referred me to someone else (who I did not go to because any referral from a Doctor who mocks and laughs at you in a time of need is not one I would trust). His bedside manner during a time of distress and desperation was deplorable. My mother was in the room with me and she was nearly in tears afterward with the way he spoke and belittled my reality. I am floored that this is the way he treated someone who simply wanted to know the options for removal. There are tens of thousands of women whose bodies reject implants and if a doctor is too ignorant to recognize this then I would walk the other way. I would never recommend him to anyone. I ended up having them removed with a doctor in Bucks County and finally have my life back. YES the SYMPTOMS that you claim to "treat" have diminished and some completely disappeared already. If you treat "symptoms" then understand THE IMPLANTS were the issue because I feel like a human being again and everything has nearly gone away six months later. Wake up to the reality that implants are not safe and check your bedside manner.
