I researched local dental providers within my new network and stumbled upon the stellar reviews from my fellow yelpers. Luckily this office is so close to home for me. I was politely greeted and filled out all intake information with the 2 front desk girls. They were professional and kind. I then met with hygienist Hazel who took her time cleaning my teeth, was very gentle and afterwards had a brief consult with me about flossing more to avoid plaque build up. The other hygienist Gloria was very welcoming and kind as well. Dr. Jacob entered the room and was extremely friendly and bubbling with a great sense of humor. He consulted with me about the enamel stains I've had on my two front teeth since a child. This is the first time a dentist has suggested an alternative to invasive porcelain veneers. For years, I've met with different providers and there has not been a solution. He discussed a mild Icon polish treatment and was happy to review what my insurance covers. I'm extremely satisfied with my visit and can't wait to return for this procedure so that I can feel more confident smiling. Just like rapper Cardi.B I just want to get a bag and fix my teeth. You know it's not cheap :) The parking lot is super convenient for patients. Such an added bonus for this area that monopolizes on municipal parking.

Oh boy, there's really started the fear of a dental appointment. It's not so much the appointment, it's the fact that I know that this procedure will require a needle. I called around and couldn't find anything on short notice. A co-worker recommended this place. I went on Monday. I was a little nervous of course not only with it being new but of course that dreaded needle. Before I arrived I actually received a call to ask if I can come in earlier. The lady was very pleasant and once I arrived everyone was also very pleasant. I proceeded into the actual dentist at a very quick pace. I filled out some paperwork and I probably was in the dental chair within 10 minutes. The place is well kept and clean. The dentist put me at ease. He made sure the numb the gums and in fact I didn't even feel the needle. He talked me through every part of the procedure and kept me at ease. All in all it probably took about 15 minutes for him to refill the hole in my tooth. I was asked if I would want to come on as a regular customer and I said yes. I took a serious x-rays and will be back to fix a bad crown. I'm happy I found this office because the dentist I was using prior is out of my network. Of course insurance pays but at a higher premium. This one is in my network

The billing coordinator at this office is extremely unprofessional and was not courtesy. I was informed that that she could not confirm my insurance and when I informed her that I have a contact person that would be able to explain my benefits. She stated " that it is not her responsibility to identify the providing insurance". You have to be kidding me the basis of your job is to reach out to confirm insurance and process claims. She was very abrasive and dismissive. Please do not provide business to a clinic that does not have the sheer decency to work with a potential patient. This was checked the next day and adjusted when I went to a different office because I was in a lot of pain. I wasn't given the brochure on the aftercare - again got it the next day from a different office. Wasn't even told not to eat or drink until the numbness was gone - was just told not to chew anything hard on that side of my mouth while he was finishing up as he seemed in a hurry to get done. Overall I would not recommend the Garden City office as didn't find anyone there particularly caring. And definitely wouldn't recommend Dr Ju. I was treated much better by the on call doctor from a different office when I called for help because I was in so much pain (was given an antibiotic) and by still another office when I went there the next day.

But if you're looking for a kind, empathic person - go elsewhere. Dr Ju is not for you.
