I never heard anything for two days, so I called their office. They basically refused to see me. I got the feeling they did not want to step on the other doctor's toes and were going along with his diagnosis without giving me an examination as my doctor requested. They suggested I go to Penn State Hershey, still without diagnosing my issue separately. I would not recommend this practice as they tend to pick and choose without seeing the patient. I can't say that poor patient care was an issue, for I was never seen. I felt bad for the person on the phone, as she was being advised by someone else, who could have given me the courtesy of speaking to me directly. In a word, describing them.... condescending! Definitely not patient-focused.

The assistant's tone was sharp, condescending, scolding, impatient. Great style for a Drill Instructor in a Marine boot camp, but completely out of place when interacting with a paying customer. So we fired Dr. McGillis before ever meeting her.

They said it would take pressure off my legs and they would feel better and it would eliminate spider and varicose veins. They did my right leg first and it was very painful. I wore the compression stocking and followed all their rules. Two years later, my bruises and tenderness have not gone away despite various attempts by this place to "fix" it, sometimes it hurts to even touch my leg. My leg has never looked worse and right now it is 2 am and I'm still awake because it is aching so badly. This happens a few times a week. At first, I felt confident I had chosen…read morethe right surgeon after being approved multiple times in the past and waiting until I found someone I trusted. Within the first week of recovery, I had significant pain and swelling on my left side and could not fully lower my arm. I repeatedly contacted the office and was consistently told this was normal. Three weeks post-op, I developed a hematoma that was not drained, which caused my incision to reopen. Despite calling the office multiple times a week with concerns, I was still reassured this was normal healing. By my one-month follow-up, I had multiple open areas under my breast. Although it was visibly concerning, I was told it would just take longer to heal and the scarring would not be worse. A week later, another physician immediately diagnosed tissue and fat necrosis. I required antibiotics and was told it was too late to return to the OR. As a result, I ultimately needed significant revision surgery, including large scar revisions on both sides and augmentation to correct damage caused by the untreated hematoma. This was a long, painful recovery that I believe could have been prevented if my concerns had been addressed earlier.
