Also they have good SHORT-RIB (KALBI style) for a 10 Lb box is about $70 smacks, IMO is a good deal. If I could give this place a zero I would. The rib roast was boneless but made to look like it had 7 bones. Had ZERO marbeling except for the 1.5 fat cap. The parking is kind of tough here, but we were able to find some street parking nearby after some driving around. The customer service was really good. Customer service was bad. We got there and immediately ordered short ribs and clams. I asked for the list they usually have out because we didn't bring enough cash for the crab legs so I could grab another meat. They have two different price list; one for Monday-Friday and one for the weekend. They have several parking stalls on their lot. My friend and I were looking for fresh ground chuck and fresh grass fed ground beef. You don't have to call ahead and place an order but I would recommend calling ahead to see if they have what you want that day. They didn't have the hamburger meat we wanted except in a 20 pound box. But they have a huge variety of seafood too so I picked up some beautiful frozen whole clams for chowder or seafood stew at am amazing price. Finding them the 1st time is a bit tricky in this industrial area. But the trip was worth it and I will make it again. Bring cash because that's the only thing they accept. One of the things I miss about New York (well, I sorta miss everything, but this is certainly up there) is that it seemed like there was a deli or an artisan meat market or just a neighborhood butcher shop on every block. Ya know how you go to Costco and sometimes you walk around just sampling stuff and then you walk out feeling like you ate a whole meal. And so when I moved back to the rock, it dawned on me that we don't really have any meat markets. I mean, I guess you take what you can get, right? We have the most amazing poke in the world... so I think that's a fair trade. But meat markets? Not really! Anyways, enough of the novel. Needless to say, I was stoked to stumble across this place. Now don't get me wrong - it's not a traditional artisan meat market like you'd expect on the lower east side. But it is a place you can go to for all of your carnivore cravings. My nephew recently had his first birthday, and I was in charge of the menu (well, at least the "meat" side of the menu). So I had pork butt, brisket, chicken, steaks, sausage (ya know, the five food groups) on the menu. This was my one-stop-shop for buying a rather large quantity of relatively inexpensive meat, in bulk. I'll definitely come back to this place. My accupuncturist recommended that I get a black silkie chicken to make soup with. I said where in the heck would I get that? She recommended that I go here, which to my suprise did carry the frozen silke chicken. I think my husband paid $15.00 for it, which I thought was kind of expensive. Picked up a 10lb box of snow crab for a family gathering. was so happy with the price! Got home started steaming them, and instantly the whole house had this smell of old stink mud. I thought no... can't be the crab? Well it was. Crab legs were old, rubbery, and rotten. Tried one, and threw everything out. Family was so sad, NO CRAB. I called the company, and explained what happened, got an apology, and that was it. No replacement, No future discount on a case of crab, nothing to win back my trust of their products.
