Rob quickly found that the motor was bound and offered to get a replacement after trying to fix with 3 in 1 oil. They were not able to find a replacement motor but during their journey to Home Depot the motor was unbound by the 3 in 1 oil. Rob returned the motor to its housing and reinstalled. Wes did a fantastic job on a service upgrade from 100A to 200Amps. A friend/contractor referred him…read moreto me, I called him, and he promptly called back. I requested that we use text messaging and so we communicated that way, which I prefer. He gave me a written quote and explained the process to me. When he said everything was included, I was skeptical. I asked if that included the outside wire, the charge from NYSEG for the upgrade, and a 3rd party inspector (required by NYSEG). He said yes. He explained it would take one day. We scheduled a WED and everything went well except for a minor snag. The electrical lineman from NYSEG was waiting for Wes to show up at 9am when Wes just wanted the service disconnected and he would be there an hour later. I called Wes and he explained to them that he just wanted a disconnect and then they should come back for the re-connect. Then Wes went to work, wired up the panel very cleanly, and got power back up by the end of the day. He didn't finish all the labeling (my panel was an ugly, unlabeled mess before), so he cae back a few days later to help with that. I really appreciated talking to the guy who would do the work; that way there wasn't much that would be lost in communication. Wes also told me his experience working at the Port Authority in New Jersey on giant cranes. So he has many many years of experience. You should also be prepared that Wes will recommend lots of upgrades because "things aren't done right". Like GFCI outlets in the kitchen where there is water. This is code today but wasn't code many years ago. So, take these recommendations seriously, but he's not trying to oversell you like a car salesman. I may be slightly biased because my structural contractor, whom I love, recommended Wes. But Wes did a great job and earns this 5-star recommendation. The price was roughly $1800 for the job. No hidden fees.

My experience with Hubbards Plumbing went from a 5 in 1988 when Hubbard installed plumbing in my…read morenew home, a 3 summer 2013 and now 1 star. 1988 Hubbard installed the B vent in home carpenter did not finish B vent correctly code officer passed all work in my home and according to Hubbard the Code OFficer did not do his job. 1988 two months after home finished tub installed by Hubbard in bathroom where the B vent was staring at Hubbard yet not a word that it was unsafe. The next 26 years Hubbard maintained all plumbing: low flush toilets ( B vent staring at Hubbard while installing toilet), sink, hot water heater and all plumbing maintenance. All those years the B vent was not finished correctly yet Hubbard never informed me of this error on builder part. April 2013, I requested a bathtub be installed and was scheduled for June yet called and never got a service call appointment. May 2014 home inspected for sale Chad Hubbard arrives and tells realtor and buyers : it is noted the B vent is a fire hazard, not code compliant, and potentially noxious fumes. Chad Hubbard states " as you see Anne I cannot state all is well when there are several life safety issues" When a plumber ignores "several life safety issues" in a home that he has maintained for 26 years I question how safe my family and friends are when doing business with Hubbard Plumbing.
