The electrician was so professional and so helpful. After the storm on 5/28, we lost power for a day which was restored same day. But then the next day the power was wonky and then only half our breakers were working 5/30. Turns out the line from the meter to the box got fried, we had another company come out to just repair the line but they wanted $10k to do all the unnecessary upgrades. But Richardson Ready Electric was called on 5/31, we sent them photos of damage and they said they could come Monday 6/3. Unfortunate but lots of electrical damage in area after the storm. He said he might come 6/1. Well we hoped for the best and they showed up on a Saturday and fixed the fried line from meter to breaker box. We finally had power to the entire house again!! And the fee was so reasonable for emergency work on the weekend! It was under $300 for the work! I highly recommend Richardson Ready Electric for any of your needs! read more

I needed 3 GFI breakers installed for a new tub. So James came out and reviewed the job and emailed me a free estimate that day. When I got the estimate, I couldn't believe the price, for I had expected much more. I agreed immediately and they put me on their schedule. Then Dave and and another man whose name starts with an 'E', came out to install the new breakers. Throughout the job, they listen to me, kept me informed, and cleaned up after themselves. They even took the time to show me how to reset the GFI breakers (breakers have reset switch on them rather than the plug). I will definitely use them again if the occasion arises. read more

I've gotten several estimates for a ceiling fan install and this place is by far the most expensive- shockingly more expensive!! The estimate they gave me for a ceiling fan install (for an 11 pound ceiling fan) is $524!!!! Yes, $524.00!!!!! Insanity! This isnt even for a wall outlet- it's going to me remote control only. Extremely long wait to get our Generac installed, even though in town and promised to us several months prior. They did not consider getting us connected to wi-fi part of the installation and actually failed to connect the electrical cables to the wifi antenna, so we could not get wi-fi access even if we wanted to. Myself and builder spent several hours hooking up batteries to the wi-fi unit and multiple hours connected to the company help line, on hold, to get someone to walk us through connecting the wires and setting the wi-fi connectivity. Did a great job replaced my breaker box and did a great job price was right and people where responsible

I needed my pool switches moved and called Richardson Ready Electric for an estimate. The woman over the phone set up the appointment, but did not make me aware of the "service charge." More on that later. The guys arrived on time, but were overall very negative about the wiring and the work that would be required. Our home is older and does need updating, including the electric paneling and whatnot. Hence, the reason I called them; but the attitude that this was "so much work" did not sit well with me. He also showed me a panel that needed to be replaced since it was burnt. After taking pictures and sending it to his whoever, he stood around tsk taking and had me wait for a while before giving me an estimate. Finally, he came to the door to tell me that unfortunately this was deemed a service call so he does have to charge me for his drive and time. $186 for 45 minutes of me waiting around while he tsked tsked, took pictures, walked all around my house to look at everything. And no work was rendered. I cannot believe this company got 2 five star reviews, which misled me to believe I would be getting some honest work. I was very vocal about my upset, to which he said I could call to talk to the owner as he was a very good man. Hmmm... I called another company to come give me a FREE estimate, and the bid was 30% cheaper than theirs. In addition, the subsequent company was able to explain to me what exactly had to be replaced and was honest about the hazard it posed. I would suggest this company really take a look at its process and customer service. You may be really good at what you provide, but I will never know because your employees were rude! How about asking me if I've used you before? And possibly making me aware of the charge up front? It sounded to good to be true when "someone cancelled and we can be there this afternoon." read more

They won the bid for both of my jobs: 1) Replacing my old power panel and installing grounding rods to bring it up to city code 2) Running power to my new shed/workshop, and installing the outlets & lighting The job was finished today, and I am so pleased. The workshop turned out even better than I expected. Their work is top-notch and at a great price. The owner, Frank, came out for the bid. He is extremely detailed-oriented, professional, and personable. He took notes & pictures, and even sketched out schematics to make sure that everything was exactly right. He had some good suggestions too. The other guys did none of these things and tried to use scare tactics to up-sell other work. I love this company!! They fixed a complicated outdoor lighting system very quickly. Buyer Beware. These guys pad hours and are painfully slow to boot. Your bill will be two to three times what you expect. I was charged over $4,500 to move three outlets and replace kitchen fluorescents. On top of that, the crew that came in day 2 said the day 1 crew did it all wrong. Vern the sales guy on the phone was super but the "crew" they sent out to do the job - which is no crew at all, its one electrician and an intern - performed slowly and then they overbilled me by I'd say 100%. Vernon at Richardson Ready Electric was referred to me by my longtime HVAC service provider (who I trust implicitly). Happy to report RRE appears to be cut from the same cloth: Vernon tried to help me diagnose a breaker box issue over the phone then came out the next day to inspect and provide an estimate. He ran some tests and narrowed it down to a breaker circuit replacement- then showed me how simple it was to replace it. Vernon game me two options: he could replace it at a cost of $100 (or) I could run to Home Depot and do it myself for $10.99. When I offered to pay a trip charge he refused it, saying "This was an estimate and we don't charge for estimates". Needless to say, he could have easily quoted the $100 and I would never have questioned it- or known how simple it was to DIY. Vernon and his company are my go-to electricians for life now. called for two outlets out at my house waited a week for them to come and while I was at work my wife at home the tech came out spend 5 hours looking for the problem, I called my wife and asked her if they found anything after 5 hrs. was told no but the tech is having a lot of problems and not doing too well. I called the company and advised them to remove the tech from my house and I will seek other company for repairs. on my days off I " NOT A PRO AT ELECTRIAL" went down and bought wire and breaker and rewired the whole circuit under two hours and repaired it,,, I called the owner and he sent me a bill for $379.00 dollars he thought that was fair . well im going to pay the bill and hope this will help others when electrical repairs are needed who to call. ? thanks Richardson electric for all you tried to do read more

When I said you never told me how much, he said we spent time and placed lien on my home for $740, I am taking him to court this week.A total whole in the wall business, beware.
