I like how it never seems overly busy because it's nice being able to take your time down the aisles and shop without crowds. Definitely a great market and a nice switch up from your everyday "chain" grocery stores.

Yes, it's not as luxurious to shop in, it's usually mobbed, the aisles are tight and the parking lot sucks. Produce is not as great in some items, and they don't carry as many super-speciality foods as Whole Foods or Stop & Shop. However, the people who work there are amazing. They are abundant (try almost every checkout line open during rush) and helpful, and friendly, and the store is well stocked and well managed. No self checkout crap. You don't need it, there's always a line open. We'd kill for an upgraded facility like the nicer newer Market Baskets that do exist, but our Bellingham store crew, from the managers to the baggers are amazing, and make shopping here worth the visit. Their meat department is wonderful, the seafood is great and if you can get near the deli, they work hard and are great too. Finally, a shout out to the bakery and prepared food folks - they are awesome. The food is great and they couldn't be more helpful. We love MB, just wish it was as a new one. Oh, and don't go near the place the day before a major snowstorm, or any Sunday at noon. Plan your visit if possible. 5 stars for the staff and people and management, 3 for the facility. For example, a Price Chopper can be much nicer in one town than in another (Price Chopper Webster, MA is a very nice PC). But in our area, we stand by these standings! We use Market 32 as a giant convenience store for on demand staples like hamburger patties and rolls, milk and eggs. That said, some of these items are much more expensive than Market Basket. And when it comes to produce, we're always disappointed with Market 32 quality, and often the price too. Bok choy is a good example. Market 32 Bok choy is often $2 more a pound than at Market Basket, and limp, like it's been on a Price Chopper truck for a few days too long. And the cod we tried, was very fishy and compares poorly with cod loins from Wegman's. Market 32 prepared pizza was very disappointing, though I tried sushi here once (I was starving), and to my chagrin, it was pretty good. On the plus side, this Market 32 is quite new, quite clean, and usually quite quiet. But other than on-demand necessitates, we have much better choices if we're willing to drive an extra 10 - 15 minutes.

I also intended to return a case of empty bottles that I bought here the previous week. The owner told me that he does not accept returns after 12:00PM because the store is too busy. I pointed out that I was the only customer in the store and that I bought the empty case at his establishment and I was about to buy another. I also told him that they were REQUIRED BY LAW to accept returns during all hours of operation (MA Bottle Bill). He told me that he could do whatever he wanted because he owned the place - what an arrogant jerk to think he is above the law. I bought at least a case of beer here every week for years, but I will never set foot in this dump ever again. Suggest you also shop elsewhere... Customers can call the state enforcement at: 617-556-1054 to report their bottle bill law violation for refusing to accept returns during ALL times that they are open for business.
