I showed up once at 7:03pm, and they wouldn't take my order. So customer service sucks too. The meat section is alright as long as it doesn't expire in 3 days and they never have chicken. Below is a picture of the bread section on a Tuesday night. Do yourself a favor, shop at Shaws 7 minutes away in Whitinsville. It might be a little more expensive, but better options, better produce, and a much cleaner store. Plus, their deli is open till 9.

When she was done I went and asked if they make sandwiches to order. The guy working said "no, we make all of our sandwiches fresh each morning and they're in the case by the door." He wasn't rude, but it seemed odd that they wouldn't sell me a custom sandwich. Here's my first complaint: all the sandwiches were on little foam trays and covered in plastic (like a piece of steak would come on at a grocery store), I don't know if this is how they always do it, but it's a bad idea: all of the sandwiches were squished flat because of how tight the plastic was (and also probably because they stack them up). I'm no elitist, I'm not a fancy guy, but presentation is half the battle and these sandwiches were not appetizing. What's wrong with just rolling your subs in deli paper? I swallowed my pride and grabbed the least flattened turkey sub, along with a bag of chips and a drink. The cashier girl was polite and asked me if I wanted any condiments for the sub, which I did. When I got home and began eating my sub I discovered it already had mayonnaise on it, which I don't like. And it wasn't listed on the label with the ingredients. Which is exactly why I would've ordered a sandwich from the deli, not because I think the ones in the case aren't fresh, but because they looked awful, and now to me it tasted awful. The turkey too was really crumbly... it didn't look like a turkey sub, it looked like a tuna sub. I'm giving 3 stars because the cashier was friendly and the subs ARE cheap, it was less than $4 for a 6" sub. But you know what? Charge me $5 or $6 and make it look (and taste) worth eating. This is one of those places where some things are ridiculously cheap (like the subs) and other items are more than they would be at Cumberland Farms or 7-11.

Very sketchy business. They charge you a card fee without letting you know.

A Little history lesson first: In the 1920's, Augusto Brigido, a Portuguese immigrant, began working in a small neighborhood market in Northern Rhode Island. By 1943, he was able to own and operate his first grocery market located on Beverage Hill Avenue, in Pawtucket. I've bought chicken that was bad. Products are just placed all around the store. Like cheese for nachos. Have fun trying to find it! The young staff cant be bothered to busy talking to each other . Being catty. I've heard them talk about other patrons after they left. The managers are always hard at work. And the guys behind the deli are awesome. Lately I drive out of the way to another store just so I won't have to go through their cash out. read more

Brigido's Fresh Market... the name seems so confusing, and yet once you know- you understand. Brigido's Fresh Market is an extension of their creamery just a few blocks down the way. The ice cream is available in little pint sized bites and is absolutely delicious. Grab a couple and walk to Delores for a nice evening! read more

Stop & Shop 5. Market 32 6. Price Chopper/Hannaford We realize that quality and selection with some of these grocery stores can vary by location. For example, a Price Chopper can be much nicer in one town than in another (Price Chopper Webster, MA is a very nice PC). But in our area, we stand by these standings! We use Market 32 as a giant convenience store for on demand staples like hamburger patties and rolls, milk and eggs. That said, some of these items are much more expensive than Market Basket. And when it comes to produce, we're always disappointed with Market 32 quality, and often the price too. Bok choy is a good example. Market 32 Bok choy is often $2 more a pound than at Market Basket, and limp, like it's been on a Price Chopper truck for a few days too long. And the cod we tried, was very fishy and compares poorly with cod loins from Wegman's. Market 32 prepared pizza was very disappointing, though I tried sushi here once (I was starving), and to my chagrin, it was pretty good. On the plus side, this Market 32 is quite new, quite clean, and usually quite quiet. But other than on-demand necessitates, we have much better choices if we're willing to drive an extra 10 - 15 minutes.

Produce is not as great in some items, and they don't carry as many super-speciality foods as Whole Foods or Stop & Shop. However, the people who work there are amazing. They are abundant (try almost every checkout line open during rush) and helpful, and friendly, and the store is well stocked and well managed. No self checkout crap. You don't need it, there's always a line open. We'd kill for an upgraded facility like the nicer newer Market Baskets that do exist, but our Bellingham store crew, from the managers to the baggers are amazing, and make shopping here worth the visit. Their meat department is wonderful, the seafood is great and if you can get near the deli, they work hard and are great too. Finally, a shout out to the bakery and prepared food folks - they are awesome. The food is great and they couldn't be more helpful. We love MB, just wish it was as a new one. Oh, and don't go near the place the day before a major snowstorm, or any Sunday at noon. Plan your visit if possible. 5 stars for the staff and people and management, 3 for the facility. It really needs an upgrade.
