worst time ever paid 120 for a nail set i didn't even want, they put a bunch of random different shapes on my nails knowing i asked for coffin and they didn't even turn out coffin, 4 cricked nails, she didn't know how to do french tips on all of they are bigger then smaller on each side, the 3D flowers looked flat, few nails bigger and just didn't give me the specific nails I wanted and I was very strict about it and I wasn't trying to be rude and I asked her if she could fix it and she said OK and she kept messing it up and I didn't wanna be rude and as much as I tried to say something, it was just horrible and I regret going there my friend who was young younger and that is a beginner does better Nails than her and if my friend wasn't busy, I would've went to but I had places to go worst mistake in my life never coming back here again horrible service and my nails hurt so badly after same as my toes. read more

Since there isn't an option on Yelp for the Port Moody location, I'll write it here. I tried out this place because it recently opened (end of july) by my work, and it's great. They have plexiglass set up and are good about socially distancing everyone. I've got my acrylic fills done here since they opened now, and have gotten a pedicure done here once before. not sure if their tools are clean. The toe separators were definitely reused a few times. pedicure was bad. She didn't take off the previous nail polish correctly so with the lighter new nail polish looks like I have dirty toe nails. The young girl that did my pedicure even hurt me and although I didn't say anything she just looked up for a second. I guess I will be redoing it myself since I think I can do a better job. read more

Every time we go to this establishment there is something. Last time it was overcharging for a wax. Today it was 20 minutes behind. All I ask for is a courtesy call, I drove there on time for my appointment. If I showed up 20 mins late without letting them know would they even take me? I went back and forth on whether or not I should write a review, but then my daughters shellac nail came completely off only a few days after having them done. She is devastated as it was for her birthday and her very first manicure. We both got a shellac manicure/pedicure which felt completely rushed. We were in/out within 45 minutes and none of the services were done at the same time. All separate. I had to ask for my thumb to be painted more as a whole corner was missing paint. Then when I got home, I noticed my feet were incredibly rough! They weren't smooth in the slightest. The nails were all crooked, one chipped the very next morning and now another has chipped a few days later. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend Richelles to anyone. read more

I highly recommend Richelle Nails & Spa for all your nail, lashes and more. Richelle has been doing my nails for a few years now and very rarely do they lift or break. And she is quite creative with her nail designs. I have been to many other salons and I can't say the same for many of them. If you let Richelle or any of the other girls know what your needs are they will do whatever they can to accommodate you. Just ask for the prices ahead of time so you can make informed decisions on what works best for you. Richelle is very flexible and will do her best to make your visit as pleasant as possible. Booked a last min deluxe pedi with my mother in law. It was amazing! The techs were super nice and social, they were respectful in that they didn't speak their language the whole time. All the equipment looked tidy and new. Chairs are super comfy and large. With massage! Ice cold water, and the owner walked around between clients asking if everyone was good and offered water. The clippers and tools used came out of sanitized packages, nice seeing them open the package in front of you Large selection of colours and designs! Lastly, my feet look amazing and felt so good after the paraffin wax! Would love to get this done on a regular! Prices are reasonable as well! Highly recommend!!! read more

Horrible job, I had shellac polish applied to my real nails and the tech didn't even get close to my cuticles, it looks as if I had a weeks growth when I left, the polish was put on too thick and had large globs down the side and in my skin I will never ever go back read more

I went on Boxing Day when very few other nail places were open. Staff was nice I guess but the salon was nothing fancy. But who cares about fancy if they do a good job on the nails. Sadly this was not the case. I had a full set shellac manicure. I'm not sure what happened but within three hours of getting my manicure the shellac began lifting off my nail and by the end of the day three fingers were peeled off. Not sure if it's because they didn't have me go under the light long enough or whether the lady lotioned my hands too early. I did call the salon the next day and they offered to fix it. I'm a bit disheartened after today's visit. I've gone a couple other times, once for shellac (amazing) and I tried an acrylic over coat after that which was also great. Today I went to fill the acrylic over lay and I'm just not liking what I see. There were a few sharp edges that I've filed off myself now and probably compromised the seal on the sides. Also there was some white powder from the French tips that is around my cuticles on a few nails (see pic), I'm certain that will only look worse as my nails grow:( . Seems like each tech is very different in their approach. You can also see in the picture that my nail beds got buzzed down too low and it creates purple marks :( read more

Confession - I am a certified nail technician, but do not work as one professionally. I got certified, landed a job doing something else, and since then have only worked on my own nails. As such, I've actually never had a pedicure from a spa. I recently had to look for a spa to take myself and 5 other ladies for a bachelorette party. This was a daunting task since I didn't know what to expect - what if I picked the wrong place for this bachelorette?? I booked the appointment for each lady - different services for each. When we arrived, I was very impressed! Initial impression is that the place is clean, warm and inviting. The place was fairly busy but we all got in at our appointment times, and everything went smoothly for each of us. For myself, I got a pedicure. The massage chair was worth the money itself - the nails were just a bonus. The whole experience was just fantastic. My nail tech was very friendly, the chair was comfy, and even though I've always thought I had soft feet, the scrub was an eye opener! The price was also very, very reasonable. And the owner was very sweet and came to make sure everyone was doing okay. This nail tech will be coming back often! read more

I've been going to this salon for the last 3 years and sadly, it seems the quality of services have gone downhill as of late. I had a pedicure done last month and the gel polish completely came off a few of my nails after only 1 week. I went to get a pedicure somewhere else a week ago in Langley and it's been 2 weeks so far and they still look great, no chipping whatsoever. I've been here for some years and I love the owner and the service here before. I was super happy they open for business after the lift on COVID-19 but there are two points I'm disappointed on: 1) No social distancing for customers While I was having my mani at the table, another lady was asked to sit on the table next to me which both of us are less than 1 meter away for sure. Although they have plex glass between nail technician and customer, but it still feel unsafe to sit next to another person with no social distancing at this sensitive period. There was 6 pedi tables, and only two customers including myself so I don't understand why there's plenty of space but no social distancing approach was taken. 2) Suspecting tools were not sanitized There were two different nail technicians who done my mani and pedi. Usually nail salon will bring out a sealed package of tools for customers or even cleaned tools on a metal tray, After careful observation, I suspect the nail file, nail clip and cuticle clipper used for both of my nail sessions were not sanitized. I saw both technicians just took out a used nail file (scratch marks on the file) from a cup in their individual cart, and I saw one of them just use a towel to wipe the cuticle clipper and then use on my nail (so gross! And not hygiene at all!). Due to my recent experience I probably may look for another nail salon who will use sanitized tools, if not it will definitely pose a health risk to all customers. read more

Great staff, but the owner lacks integrity & honesty. After over a year of going to Richelle's Nails (Port Moody location) for mani's & pedi's every 2 weeks, I finally had an issue that should've been easily rectified, but was instead dealt with dishonestly . I had a "dip powder" manicure that the tech last week suggested I have shellac overlaid on (she said if there were any issues to come back the following week and she'd fix them). 4 days later, 5 nails chipped so I went back- between a combination of pulling the wool over my eyes and suggesting I get acrylic nails but saying it was basically dip powder, no different, I ended up with a full set of acrylic nails I didn't ask for (was totally confused about what service I was getting as no one could adequately clarify) and they wanted me to pay full price. When it came time to leave, rather than saying "thanks we hope this is better" the owner had the audacity to try and charge me full price (FOR THE MISTAKE THEY INITIALLY MADE!- lesson learned shellac and dip powder aren't compatible products-the tech should know this). I explained why this wasn't fair- she said the best she could do was 15% off , I contested and she then said 30% off. I was so frustrated I paid and left. After a year of patronage, good tipping and frequent visits , the least they could do was fix their issue with no charge- instead I ended up paying for something I didn't want, for something I shouldn't have been charged for in the first place. If a different service is going to be rendered, then that should be communicated clearly, with the difference in price noted, and adjustments made for their previous mistake. read more

I came here during vacation while I was in Vancouver. I was very excited because there was a 20% off deal. I got the regular pedicure and shellac French manicure. I'm giving a 2 star because the lady was nice and she paid attention and seemed detail oriented. However that's where the praise ends. The end result for my pedicure was quite disappointing. I went to this salon today for a pedicure. The technician was using a metal emery board to shave my heels of callouses. She did it so roughly that she took literally a chunk of skin out of my heel and bled. I asked if she could put some antiseptic on it as I was afraid of infection. She did and then put a couple of band aides on it. She also massaged my leg and it was very painful as she did it. Also she put a towel on my leg that was way too hot. I would never go back there again. They did not offer any kind of compensation because of it, not that that would have really changed the situation. I am leaving on holiday and now cannot go to a pool or a hot tub due to this. I just hope my foot will not get an infection. It has affected everything I am doing as I am having to keep off my foot. read more

Pedicure was not bad, I was satisfied, but the lady who was supposed to do my nails had a terrible attitude problem. She didn't look happy even before helping me. The only time she smiled was when she dropped my new phone on the floor and said, "it's okay :)" I did not go there because I am getting paid to be there. I think doing nails as a job requires you to have some sort of customer service skill. She was very rough and annoyed when we were talking about the length. She absolutely gave no care when chopping them after applying extensions. She never did the fitting on my nails before applying the glue ON THE EXTENSIONS!! And put it on my nails right after. She had to try 3 times to apply on my pinky and it never reminded her to check if it fits before she glued it. I didn't say a word. Of course the extensions were all in different angles and looked like a mess. At that point, I knew it will turn out terrible. Terrible customer service, terrible skill and terrible English. I didn't say anything and was being nice until she gave me a look after telling her one of them were way too short. I told her that I want someone else to take them off for me and the guy who was doing my pedi removed it for me. The glue was literally stuck in between my nails and flesh. I went to the nail salon I usually go to, and they told me they are so damaged. I would never ever ever recommend anyone to go to this place for getting nails done. The reception lady and the pedi guy were very nice. I recommend the owner to hire someone who can speak basic English and know how to say Sorry at least when you drop anything that doesn't belong to you. Please when you hire someone, at least hire someone who is good at doing at least one thing(good customer service, communication or skill). Don't hire them because they speak your language. I understand that things happen sometimes, but what really matters is that my foot is all better now. I don't mind going back to do pedicure here as I do like their cleanliness & friendliness. She extremely thinned them out, rushed through the process and was so aggressive while doing them. I will NEVER go back to them again. I was so upset I couldn't even talk, so I left. To my knowledge, this location used to be a different salon and I wasn't impressed with their services and therefore did not return. However, when it re-opened as Richelle Nails I booked an appointment and was really impressed with the service! The colour selection is the best of the nail salons I've been to with endless shades in every colour. The techs are all experience and I've never been cut or scraped as I have been at other salons. I always get acrylic/gel nails done and I've never had a set last for so long! The price is average, the facility is clean, and all of the employees are friendly. I have been a long time customer ( actually from day one). I went in for shellac. It chipped within 12 hours. When I went back to have it fixed the next day, I was charged another $5.00 for the repair. Should this not last longer than a day?? Do not go here. My appointment was at 5:15 and got there at 450 thinking maybe she could start early as I had to catch a flight. When I got there she still had two People in front of me to do. Ended up having to go a different lady. If I waited to go with Richelle, I would've been waiting till 540. The previous time I got them done she rushed through them. Not even 12 hours later the next day, 2 broke and one ended up being matte. I did not hit or crack them on anything they just broke off. Went in to tell them and they barely gave me a gift card to refund it. Today I went in to give them another chance and Richelle did not say hi or look to see my two broken nails. She approached my mom and started telling her we don't do refunds and making her feel very uncomfortable in front of the whole salon. When we were paying they said we made them very uncomfortable (when we did not do anything but sit in the chairs and get our nails done). They charged me extra to fix the 2 broken nails when they broke not even 12 hours after getting them done and was a result of them doing my nails. At the end of it, they basically told us to leave and not come back because we asked why we were getting charged extra for getting the broken nails fixed. We were there to give her another chance and this is how she treats her clients. Did not even apologize about the nails. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. I've been here a few times for acrylics but this time in particular i was super unhappy, the first set I got was great, nice colour and shape and i got a lot of compliments but within a week and a half they all started lifting from the bottom. by the time i was ready for a fill i had gone in twice to get ones fixed that popped off and every single one ended up needing to be redone. when i left my fill appointment i was so upset by the shape. it was super thin and looked awful on my finger shape. she also over filed the side of my nail to the point where i was bleeding and it actually hurts a lot. for both the full set and the fill i had the same person. they were kind enough to fix the shape for me and it looks okay but i honestly dont see myself going back there again. read more

It was my bad experience with the services. a girl did my nails was very slow and I tried to tell her what I like but she seem did not care a bout what I like. She was always again whatever I told her and it came out the way she put design on my nails was terrible. Heard good things about this place... went to check it out... My daughter had her nails done shellac and for nails cracked within the first day! Took her back to get them fixed, And a couple days later The same thing happened to a couple other nails! Aside from that the girl that was fixing her nails made us both feel like we were a nuisance for coming in to get them fixed! I had a pedicure done at that time, and the next day when I got home from work my toenails were smudged with Black from my shoes!?This has never happened before and I wear these shoes all the time! The staff here are VERY unprofessional making comments about every customer walking through the door in Vietnamese.It was soo uncomfortable because I can understand them! I felt soo bad that people don't understand that their being talked about. Talking behind their back about the service their getting or their looks should never be brought up in front of the client PERIOD. Had been coming here for couple months. Service is ok if you don't mind being shuffled around when busy or them over charging. Nail or several fall of every time anyone other than Rochelle does them. At my last visit Was told if my jewels came off they would be replaced for free then after I went back to get Jewels re glued on( 3 of the 4 that I got put on had came off the same day as I got them on) I was then charged 5$ after being told it would be free. Upon questioning why I was then told because I didn't bring the jewel that had fallen off back (never heard of this policy in all my years and years of getting my nails done) and that the jewels were big .( which I was already aware of because I had already been charged for them originally) after going back and being charged again the jewels fell of again not even hours later the job was sloppy and the jell because I was rushed out of the lamp so It didn't even harden all the way, was still sticky, I had to get my man to gorilla glue the jewels back on. Since finding this place I have only gone here. I'm a good customer and tip well every time I go in there I spend 70$ min and one time I even spent 300$ so for them to be so stingy and not value my money and business let me know they didn't appreciate it, so I won't be going back! the lashes your lucky if they last 3 weeks and they don't do a proper good job on your Brazilian wax (I shouldn't have to go home and shave after a Brazilian) I gave them good money and was loyal. Hope they enjoyed missing out on my money over some jewels that they probably buy 1000 in bulk for the same price they charged me not once but twice for and still not doing the job right. read more

Best nail salon in the tricities and I've been to them all! Whenever I get acrylics they stay on for weeks without peeling or breaking. This is a first for me. Every other salon I've been to in Coquitlam or Port Coquitlam has not been this way. Definitely recommend checking it out! read more
