And I've been to many many salons in downtown. Price is reasonable. The salon itself is very clean and modern, with good lighting and lots of natural light which I find is important for color jobs. I'm surprised this place is not well known yet. Maybe it's recently opened. I had no problem booking appointments unlike some of the overrated salons in downtown. They also really take the time and listen to you and pay full attention to you. Overall, I was very happy with the service and the cut that I received. I got there on time but I was told that there is a delay, and would be another 15 min wait, I didn't mind, and waited. 15 min later, the receptionist came to me again and apologized bc it would be a further 15 min or so, i then found out that one of their hair dressers got sick and could not work, so it was understandable. I was looking at the different hair style mags they had and 15 min went by quickly. Finally it was my turn, and the hair dresser I got was Chloe. I was undecided about what i wanted, i had wanted a change, but was nervous about too drastic of a change at the same time. I consulted Chloe, and she could understand my concern, so she suggested that I keep the lenghth, and she was going to layer my fine hair to give it some volume, and give me some side bangs to frame my face. By the time she got to me, she was the only stylist working at that time, and there were already several customers waiting.. I was worried that she might just rush through me to get to the other customers, but to my surprise, she didn't do that, she not only cut and layered my hair carefully, paying attention to detail the entire time, she even styled my hair nicely to give it a great finished look. I didn't want to drive to Vancouver and so I went on online and found Splash. Nikki did a good job with my hair. She made some slight adjustment to it and she explained to me why before she started. She is very good with her job. The place is clean and location is not bad. The best part is that there are plenty of free parking. They are somewhat hidden. Splash came up and we called them to see if they had any availability. Right away they were able to fit her in. I'm not saying that will always be the case, but they did squish her in between some other appointments and made it happen, which really made our day! The owner is extremely friendly and professional; their covid protocol is great and he did ask me to leave a few times because they were at capacity and I was just a guest (which I totally don't mind because I respect their adherence to the rules). Watching them interact with us and other customers, you can tell they treat everyone with the same curiosity, respect, and thoroughness. They are great at what they do, friendly, and accommodating. My girlfriend's request was met positively despite it's complexity; I have definitely gone to other salons who tell you they're busy when they don't want to deal with you. Their location is great for wheelchairs and there is tons of parking nearby.
