I had never experienced a yellow sand room before either, so that was something new for me. One thing I especially liked was the temperature of the heated rooms. They were hot enough that I definitely worked up a sweat, but not unbearably hot like some other spas I've visited. I could actually stay in them and enjoy the experience. I also had the Korean body treatment that included a salt scrub, oil massage, cucumber face mask and shampoo. It was very good and completely different from a typical spa treatment. One of my favourite parts was having buckets of very warm water poured over me--it felt wonderful. My only real complaint was the treatment table. Since there wasn't an opening for your face like on a regular massage table, I had to keep my neck turned to the side while lying face down, which I found uncomfortable. I realize this is a traditional Korean spa treatment, so it may simply be part of the experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would have liked a little more explanation during the treatment about what was being used, especially the different oils, but the person doing my treatment was very busy and there really wasn't time to ask. I guess this is the Korean way. I don't know but wanted the authentic experience. One other thing is that I they have you pay upfront. I paid, but I did not leave a tip. I told them I would do that at the end. Overall, I really enjoyed JJ Spa. If you're looking for luxury and fancy surroundings, this probably isn't the place. But if you want a good Korean spa experience with lots of different rooms and treatments at a reasonable price, I think it offers excellent value.

I had to walk out to ask if they remembered I was in there. It still took another 5 minutes for the Doctor to enter the room. But yesterday was the last straw. One hour before my appointment the clinic called to advise me that they were running behind and asked if I could come later. I had planned my entire day's worth of appointments and errands around the Botox appointment so this was very frustrating. I eventually agreed to move my appointment 2 days out but later called back to cancel. It left a really bad taste in my mouth that they can charge me for a full session if I cancel with less than 48 hours notice (because their time is valuable) yet they only offered me a $50 discount for having to rebook 2 days later ..... because apparently my time is not as valuable? No thank you. I'll happily find another provider that is more organized and fair.
