Too many people complaining. If you don't like what is being offered, do something about it. Seriously, how else is it going to change if you don't do anything about it. I've been to this particular cinema once. Why, because I wanted to see a movie. Living in Johnstown at the time in the dead of winter, you really don't have much of a choice to pick from if you don't want to drive. To further expand on my rant at the beginning, the people of Johnstown kind of just sit back and take what is given to them, never demanding more. If you want something to come to you, stand up and demand it, quite complaining that other towns nearby are getting what you deserve. Yes, the employees are usually of the teen set and could care less that you are there. I really don't care about that, I'm there to see a movie. The quality of it isn't always going to be stellar, but you get what you pay for. I paid to see a movie in a mediocre movie theater, I didn't expect anything more or less. I mean when your movie theater is tucked away BEHIND a WalMart, that should be a clue that it's not the main attraction in town. read more

What else is there to do in a cold Monday? Go see Pitch Perfect 3! You will not regret it! I love going to see movies with my mom and sister especially during the winter months. This theatre is close to everything - TJ Maxx, Walmart, Ross, Panera - so it's perfect if you are out and about for the entire day. They have a huge parking lot right in front of the building. Plenty of space. Yes you may have a spot further away, but come on people. It's not that far and be thankful parking is available. From my experience the staff has always been friendly and accommodation. This afternoon was no exception. We checked in picked up our tickets, grabbed a popcorn and drink and were on our way to our theatre. Like every entertainment venue the cost of food and beverage is not cheap. I was surprised to see he cost of tickets has not changed much. The afternoon show was $7.00 (before 5pm) and the evening is a little over $9.00 I believe. With at least 10 theaters to view from the area is vast enough to accommodate the largest of crowds. The screens are large and contain Dolby digital surround sound to put you right into the action. The snack menu has something for everyone including nachos, candy assortments, and my true love buttery popcorn!! Also some healthy options such as roasted edamame if your having a little trouble buttoning those Levi's. Can Be a little pricey but matinees are offered at a reduced admission. I don't give a shit what the other review's say, this place is a good enough theatre. The place shows most of the latest movies though for a varying amount of time and sometimes at odd showings. This is a good thing though because except for debut nights, you almost are never packed elbow to elbow here. The stadium rooms always have open seats, especially in the front seats where you can have the most fun during a 3D movie (saw the Res Evil that was there a year or two ago with a buddy. Having bullets and shurikens scream past you is great). The smaller rooms have the typical theater smell of old popcorn and fear of the sticky floor but are also rarely packed. I have never gotten food here except for nachos and seriously, they are nachos. They come in a bag and have cheese and taste exactly like you expect. Protip: Catch an early movie for cheaper tickets or a late week night viewing to avoid lousy parents who bring babies/toddlers/little ones to R movies then bitch about violence or sex. read more

This is a nice and simple place to see a movie. The only one with multiple screens for different movies. It's a typical theatre. Honestly, there's nothing special about it. If you want an impressive movie theatre, you'll have to travel to Altoona or Greensburg. The seats are small but you do have cup holders on each side. The prices aren't that bad for snacks. It is so sad how down hill the movie theater here has got in the past year. The owner walks around with big gold chains and greased back hair, yet the movie theater needs upgrades. The bathrooms have the sink you remember using in kindergarten you have to push the handle down on the sink to get any water. The dryer is really old as well and does not work that great. The prices are expensive but its tacky not nice. I could see if I'm walking into a clear floor and friendly staff but to be honest seeing a pile of boxes shoved against the corner of popcorn is a bit concerning. The popcorn is not fresh. Ever. I don't believe they even make it themselves, they just truck it in. I usually have a mediocre experience there, but the other night was ridiculous. I checked THEIR website for movie times and arrived an hour earlier that it was actually showing, when I tried to inform who I believe was the owner taking tickets about the error he literally pulled out a magazine and started to read ignoring me while I talked. I wish we had another option, but the wife and I do drive to Altoona and Greensburg to go to their theatres. I don't know if the quality is much better, but at least the attitudes are better. read more

I love this place the prices are reasonable and the concessions are decently priced. The sound system is totally up to date with today's technology and the seats and stadium seating are excellent! I have been coming here for years and will continue to go see movies here...to the people complaining about the place one you made the mistake of not reading the tickets and confirming the date and to the people complaining about this place you don't realize what you got! It's so expensive every where else this guy is taking a cut of what he could make at this theater to give you quality instead of high prices! read more

Went and saw Deadpool today, 45 minutes into the movie they start having technical issues, they try to fix this for a good 30 mins before people start walking out. Leave the theater into the lobby where I assume the manager very bluntly tells us we can either go to the 1:30 movie and start from the beginning or we can get a refund for our tickets. Since I've already spent $20 on popcorn and soda I'm not gonna get back we decide to go see the 1:30 pm movie. Since we are going to another movie we decide to refill our sodas and popcorn where I'm told the $5.00 soda I bought does NOT have a refill option, if I want more soda it's another $5.00 and I get a new cup. Really? I'm not saying you have to do free refills, charge $2.50 but at this point I've spent $15.00 just on drinks. That's more then 2 movie tickets before 5pm. And after the whole delimma with the movie in general you dont have the customer service sense to maybe comp a soda? I've been going to movies my whole life and I've never had such a disappointing experience. We won't be back. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. read more

The owner is a total douche bag. I bought my tickets online from another city so I could take my son when I was in town for a visit. I forgot to change the date of the tickets online since it defaults to the current date. I immediately called to get the date changed and the owner himself would not do it. He told me there is nothing he can do unless I drive there with my debit card and have him credit the transaction. I'm over an hour away working!! Really? I paid you today and you can't honor the tickets on Sunday? You can't? No, the answer is, you won't. You sir, are the reason people suck. You take an honest hard-working persons money FOR NOTHING. You could very easily have said "Not a problem ma'am. We appreciate your business and we'll see you on Sunday." That would have been the right thing to do. Not "oh well, there's nothing I can do, you'll have to pay again for the correct day." You're a douche bag. read more

Haven't been to this theater for sometime. I found the seats to be very uncomfortable. The other night I gave in and went to see a movie with my husband & a friend. Something new has been added to lessen my view of this theater even more. Popcorn is now served in paper bags which rustle with noise while people are eating from them. The experience of hearing the sound of these bags all around you while trying to watch a movie is like chalk on a blackboard. Even my husband refrained from eating his, so as not to add to the annoyance. I left knowing I wouldn't be watching anymore movies at this theater. read more
