First timer at this theater for a freebie AARP showing of "It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood". Only good things to say. Parking -- easy and ample. Popcorn -- freshly popped. Staff -- friendly and helpful. Seats -- OMG leather or leather like (don't know for sure but nice). Wide enough to set my purse beside me. They recline and have a footrest. And there is plenty room to get to and from your seat without climbing over patrons. And, of course, they have cup holders and arm rests. Screen -- gigantic. I've been catching movies at Century Square Luxury Cinemas in West Mifflin for years now, all the way back to its old Maxisaver dollar-theater days (ha ha boy there were some antics back then). They completely flipped the script with the massive, comfy recliners and assigned seating, but the absolute best part is that their ticket prices are still way cheaper than the massive chain theaters like the Waterfront. read more

This is our go to theater now a days. I love that I can purchase my tickets and pick my seats online before coming to the theater. This was we don't need to come really early before the movie starts. They offer a great kids snack combo which my kids always purchase. It's a small popcorn, fruit snacks or m&ms, and a drink. I have not been here in a very long time, so it was due for a re-visit. I hit them up for the new Beetlejuice movie, which was such a great film! You have to love the improvements over how movie theaters used to be in the past. So much room to get in and out of seats, nice comfortable spacious seats, drink a beer, or a cocktail if you want. Have been there twice in a past month and always the same condition of seats, covered in grease under seats so much popcorn and trash,unbelievable. The toilets stalls are dirty and covered in dust, not each stall has toilet paper. read more

i am 16 and both my sister and cousin are as well i walked in here at 8 to watch inside 2 a kids movie and was told i have to be accompanied by someone 21 or older to watch a movie here after 6pm if i'm a minor. It says that NOWHERE on their website all it says is that for rated movies you have to be accompanied by someone 21or older at any time. if your going to imply this rule than at least put it on your website before people buy tickets. Not to mention the line had 30+ people with one worker.The worker was also very rude to us before he even told us we couldn't come in. read more

This is my go-to theatre ever since it opened. (Even though I miss the dollar theatre and all my childhood memories there!) ***Tip: Since the seats are reclining, there is less room for more seating therefore highly recommend purchases tickets online ahead of time. Especially for popular movies, typically sells out. I've only had one disappointment here and they fixed it. The theatre accidentally sold me the spots where wheelchairs are indicated for and not actual seats. The show ended up selling out. The manager refunded my money and gave me free tickets and snacks for the next showing. This was when Finding Dory came out and I still don't forget the gesture. Great customer service! In fact each time I have been here, the lines have been well managed and never long - in comparison to other theaters. The seating is so comfortable that I've fallen asleep before. This has become my favorite place in Pittsburgh to go to a movie. Tickets are $8 for matinees and $12 for an evening showing. You get to select where you'd like to sit. Concession prices are pretty comparable to other theaters. I love that you can add your own butter to popcorn and there are also flavorings to add to sodas. My only complaint is that this theater has Pepsi products and I'm a Coke fan, especially when it comes to the movies. The reclining seats are super comfortable and the theaters are relatively small to create a more private viewing environment. read more

This theater is by far the best that I have ever been in. We purchase our tickets online because we can pick our seats so there is no need to go extremely early to "find" a seat. There is normally never an issue for parking either as the theater is connected to the adjacent strip mall so there is an over abundance. Once inside the theater there is a bar area kiosk to grab an adult beverage or just regular food and drinks. The staff is very friendly and willing to help. The seats are amazing and recline so that you can relax during the movie and the up-keep seems to be spot on as the seats are neither frayed or stained.You still have plenty of room to walk in front of the chair and behind it. read more

Buyer beware- don't bother buying tickets for teens under 18 after 6:00 pm unless a parent is watching same movie. Bought tickets for my teen and friends, and tickets for kid and I for another show. Was on premises, but they were denied access to the movie since I wasn't in the same room. Did a mobile ticket order, no disclaimer that parent must be in showing after 6:00 pm. This is the best place to see a movie. Used to dread coming here. Previously it was sticky floors, dirty chairs but a movie for a $1. It closed and reopened to a luxury theaters. Every chair is a recliner. $8 per ticket is cheap. They have a bar that serves beer, wine and cocktails. You can use the app and reserve the day and tickets online. That itself is incredible. I used to go to Carmike and AMC for stadium seating. Who needs uncomfortable seating when you have this. I haven't been to a different location since this place opened its doors. Century Square Luxury Cinemas - Cinema Near Me - West Mifflin, Pennsylvania

I recently visited Century Square Luxury Cinemas with a group to see Captain America: Civil War on a Sunday afternoon. I purchased tickets online a few days in advance from their website, which is easy to use. There were no extra transaction fees (like there are on Fandango), and every seat is assigned, so our group of five did not have to arrive extremely early to get our seats together. The theater has been completely revamped from the Maxi Saver days. There are now ten screens instead of 12, with new projectors, 7.2 surround sound, and incredible leather reclining seats. Aisles are spaced far enough apart that even if your seat is fully reclined, someone can walk past you without the need to move around. I found it to be a great hybrid of watching a movie at the theater versus watching a movie at home- you're able to spread out and enjoy great technology, without the hassle of squeezing into your seat when someone walks by, or having the feeling of being crowded. An added bonus was seeing only two previews before the movie started, and then actually going straight into the movie (without commercials, warnings, etc.). This was a nice change of pace from seeing a movie at AMC, where a movie starts 20 minutes after the scheduled showtime due to all of the nonsense. The theater was bright, clean, and the staff was friendly. Concessions were a bit slow, but hopefully service there can speed up in the future as staff gains more experience. Renovated Theater, so it's not exactly "new". But the seats are all new, which, depending on how you feel about recliner seats, could be good or bad. Personally I don't care for recliners in a theater, but at least the seats are clean. The theaters/screens don't seem upgraded much beyond the seats. Pricing is reasonable but by no means cheap. Would rather go to a major theater that has a rewards program and has projectors/screens/sound. read more

After reading an article in the post about how this theater was revived into a premium cinema and decided to check it out. My family and I went to see mothers day for the holiday and enjoyed the experience very much! This place is definitely not the maxi saver theater it used to be. Outside of the exterior the rest has been remodeled and is almost completely unrecognizable. The concession stand offers a bunch of options including alcohol! While the booze and snacks are a little pricey it isn't much different from other theaters I have been to with these amenities. The price difference however comes in the tickets. 12 dollars for these seats and this environment is a deal!!!! The seats are assigned which is quite nice especially if you buy your tickets online. They also are electronic recliners, and rival some of the best couches out there! Overall, this is the only way to see a movie and I would recommend it to anyone!!!! read more

This was the most comfortable and easy going movie experience I have had yet! I am some what if a movie fanatic. And it's disappointing to me that I haven't come to this theater sooner. I know it's newer, but still. I bought my tickets online, which I found out to be the way to go. Seats are reserved, which I prefer. You walk in and simply have them scan your email recipe barcode and they give you your tickets. No line. The theater itself was very clean and up to date. You go to you assigned seat, and are taken back by how comfortable the seat is. It's leather and spacious. Oh! And did I mention they recline! Oh yes. They recline! Via button! You are now laying in a reclined leather comfort of heaven! The sound of the movie was perfect. I'm a stickler for sound quality. The screen is set a little higher for the reclined seating. Even when your reclined all the way back, people still have enough space to walk by. The gentleman next to me started to snore half way through the previews btw. That should say something about the comfort... or the preview.... Anywayyy. The price for an adult for a 5pm showing was $12 and a child was $8. For the price and what you get, i'd say it's a pretty good deal! We will be returning soon. Very soon! read more

Hard to believe that this is the same place I grew up going to back when it was a budget theater. Long gone are the days of a $2 movie, but this place is so nice that it's worth the cost. It's pretty much the only way to see a movie, in my opinion. The seats are very comfortable and you can recline them back as far as you want without bothering anyone else. The aisles are also plenty wide enough so that people can get through easily even if you're fully reclined. It's also nice that you have the option to buy alcohol. Obviously it's overpriced and so are the snacks and food, but that's just the business model of every movie theater in the country. Highly recommend seeing all your movies here. read more

I was so impressed with the bar menu and the bartender. I love that there are fun movie-themed drinks to match the current showings. I ordered a frozen strawberry daquiri - I definitely wasn't expecting that to be an option! My friends were loving the beer options too! They didn't just have the regular go-to Bud Light/Coors/Miller... They had Troegs and Victory! The seats were amazing. So comfortable. I loved being able to recline and enjoy the show! When I heard someone finally did something with the good old dollar theater, I knew I had to go check it out. I was happy to hear it remained a theater and was excited to see what it looked like after all of these years. My boyfriend and I came by on Sunday morning to see Captain America. Apparently there were some problems with the ticket pick-up machine at the front, but it didn't impact me at all. I was a little confused about how to pick up the tickets (if you needed to scan the code or your card) but it was a lot easier than I thought (either one works). We picked up the tickets, grabbed some popcorn & headed to theater 4... WOW. First and foremost, it was a HUGE theater. The screen was huge, there were tons of seats... I was blown away. But the BEST part about the entire theater was that ALL of the seats were recliners.. ALL of them! We were in awe as we took our seats and were super comfortable for the entire 2.5 hour long movie. Side note: clean and gorgeous bathrooms and very friendly service at the front desk and concession stand. Now that this theater has been remodeled, my only hope and wish is that it can remain this way. I hope the management is good, I hope the owners maintain how beautiful this theater is and I REALLY hope that this theater brings in a ton of business and stays open for a LONG time. Forget paying tons of $$ for the VIP section of Loew's in the waterfront, when you can come here & sit in a reclining comfy chair for no extra cost. ALSO- you can RESERVE SEATS online! Ok I am going to be totally honest. I was not thrilled with this idea of recliners. I was actually grossed out (just an OCD thing never mind). But, we went to see Suicide Squad there today and I have found my new favorite theater! The recliners are very comfortable and clean. There was no carpeting which I absolutely love! There is nothing worse than your shoes sticking to nasty gummed up icky carpet. The tile flooring was BEAUTIFUL! The concession stand was moderately priced. $4.75 for a small (24 oz approximately) and $5.75 for a large (guessing 36 oz?) but the large has free refills (who really gets the free refill seriously?) There is a counter around the corner where straws and napkins are PLUS butter for your popcorn and flavors for your pop! Yes you read that right ... YOU BUTTER YOUR OWN POPCORN! As much or as little as you want! You can buy your tickets online or at a kiosk when you come in. You chose your seats at time of purchase. All seats are chosen at time of purchase. You pick exactly where you want to sit and that is where you will sit. If you buy them on line you are sent an email with a QRC code in it. Walk in, hit the concession stand, goto your movie and walk to your seat. That easy. The theater itself was very impressive. They took a 12 screen theater and broke it down to 6 screens. The isles are about five feet apart so your not climbing over people to get in or out. The sound was perfect, not echoing off the walls, not so quiet you were asking what was just said? The slope is perfect, the seats in front of you do not cause you any vision issues. All in all I love this theater and at $8.00 a matinee I am looking forward to seeing many more movies here. A step above the average Carmike/AMC facility. It features electric reclining leather seats, reserved ticketing for every seat, ticketing kiosks, Dolby 7.1 sound, a full bar, and an "expanded" concession stand. The seats are positioned so you don't have to move for someone to get by, even when fully reclined. You can select and purchase your seats online via the web or with their app for iPhone or Android. When you arrive at the theater, all you have to do is show your phone's screen to the usher, find the theater, and take your seat. If you do want to buy your tickets in person, there's someone stationed at a "ticket kiosk" (box office) to handle your requests. No more waiting for 20-30 minutes at a Carmike theater to purchase tickets in a ridiculously long line at the snack bar because the company did away with the box office to save money. There's no risk of getting stuck with non-adjacent seats in the first row or, worse, discovering the show's sold out. Incidentally, the first row here isn't that bad, compared with traditional seat arrangements. The presentation quality is superb. The digital projection is bright and in-focus, and the sound is balanced and takes full advantage of the enhanced Dolby 7.1 soundfield. Speakers are well-placed, and despite what's noisily bouncing around in the format's four surround zones, dialogue is always clear and easy to hear. One caveat: at most local movie houses, the picture usually starts about a half-hour after the published showtime, due to commercials and trailers for upcoming features. At least for our last two visits, there were no ads and just a few trailers. The "luxury" comes with ticket prices significantly higher than non-luxury competitors. Standard 2-D matinee adult admission is $8 and regular admission (after 6 p.m.) is $11 on weekdays and $12 on weekends. 3-D pictures have a $3 surcharge. I feel the price is justified, given the extra convenience and comfort of the facility. My experience with the staff there has been quite good, despite some other reviews. If you can stand the lack of geographic ambience some other reviewers find unappealing, and the paucity of non-hipster restaurants in the area, you'll be satisfied. read more

My husband and I are big movie people so we could not wait for this theater to open. We knew about the bargain theater but, it closed right around the time we moved to the south hills. After reading the PPG article about the transformation, we knew we had to check out the theater as soon as we could. It is now our favorite place to go. All of the theaters have big, leather reclining seats in them. They have cup holders in the armrests that fit any size drink. The aisles are also nice and wide so that you can walk through, even when people have their seats fully reclined. You are also not in anyone elses way when you recline your seat. The seats are all reserved as well; you pick your seat when you purchase your ticket, either at the theater or online through the Century Square Website or using the Century Square Mobile app. (Slight drawback that you cannot use Fandango or another, larger theater page/app but, I don't think it is that big of a deal). The entire facility is brand new; very spacious and clean. The bathrooms are nice. I especially like the little shelf in the women's restroom in each stall for you to place a purse or anything else you might be carrying that you cannot hang on the hook. I think the ticket prices are about normal ($8 matinee and $11 weekday evenings/$12 weekend evenings), especially since you have the seats. The concession stand prices are about the same as other theaters. They also have a small bar/restaurant area that serves pizza and some other food. I believe you can take those items into the movie with you, but I haven't done that yet. The only thing I wish they had is a rewards program. My husband and I go to the movies a lot, either by ourselves or with friends and family. We are members of Stubs Premier with AMC so that we can get some rewards back. (Going to the movies is not cheap anymore!) I hope that Century Square decides to implement a rewards program; that would be the only thing to make the experience even better! read more

Anytime a new movie theater opens up it is initially fantastic so my expectations were high going in to see a movie. The seats are fantastic, comfortable individual recliners with lots of space. Picking seats before going in has its ups and downs, but they DO let you come back and change your pick if other seats are available. The recliners are sweet, they are adjustable so you can get to the perfect position for viewing. There is practically no other reason to go into this area which is why I was a little hesitant to come and see a movie here. The Mall is a ghost town, most of the other businesses in the area have closed or moved. The up side to that is that parking was a breeze which can often be challenging at the movies. Ticket prices were fair but concessions were a killer, just like every movie theater. Definitely would recommend and will be back! read more

In short, I've found my new favorite place to see a movie. Behold! In the dwindling once-grand shopping extravaganza that was the Century III mall, there was no hope for the future anywhere. Until the Century Square luxury cinemas opened. In the space that used to house the maxi saver theater, a beautiful, nicer theater has opened. Plush, glorious leather reclining seats are just the beginning. You reserve your seats ahead of time so you don't have to rush to get a good seat. You can do this through their app that doesn't charge a surcharge like Fandango does. Also, I recommend getting there on time. Only about 10 mins of previews are played before each feature and I'm constantly seeing people walking in late. Also, the staff is so sweet and friendly. You can get a cocktail or a meal or just some popcorn and soda before the show from workers who actually seem to enjoy what they're doing. My only gripe is they have Pepsi products, and not Coke. #teamcoke In a nutshell, I hope this place stays open a very, very long time. Maybe it could even serve as the beginning of a renaissance of sorts for the Century III area. I go to the movies more than the average person does, probably, and even though this theater is slightly out of my way, it's the best place in the area to catch a show.
