What an amazing opportunity she (we) has had; and my husband and I have felt supported along the way with parent-teacher conferences, thorough daily electronic communication, and parent panel meetings. The faculty is clean, has true Montessori learning tools, and highly educated and certified teachers. Chapel is offered once a week and my children have grown and learned so much! I am fascinated by how much they recall and comprehend about the Bible! Not to mention they talk about Pastor Mike, the Preschool Pastor, all the time. We have been very blessed with each of our teachers. They truly love and dote on each of the students. I am so glad that they have had this time to come to love school. It will make entering Kindergarten so much easier. My middle child just finished Pre-K 4 and is entering Kindergarten this fall. I am confident that it will be an easy transition for her. I am impressed at how much she learned this past year. She will be reading in no time. My youngest will be entering Pre-K 4 this year (her 3rd year at PATC)! I am eager to see her grow and be impressed by the things she learns throughout the school year. We can certainly attest that the director, Ms. Dee, is incredibly hardworking and kind and she always put a great effort towards running a tight ship. We received an email from the owner saying that Goddard was cited for running over ratios (look up reports for any preschool on https://ncchildcare.ncdhhs.gov/childcaresearch ). When we replied expressing our discomfort with how the situation was handled, she suggested that we move on since we no longer trust her. It totally blind sighted us because we had previously had a positive relationship. It felt like we were just another number and she's going to move on to the next name in her wait list. We are happy this happened because it gave us an opportunity to compare with other centers. We didn't like that kids were given iPads at Goddard and were happy to find that is not the case elsewhere. Several centers provided meals (Goddard does not) and had more opportunities for water play and sports exposure (soccer lessons, basketball lessons, basketball court, splash pad area). We also weren't thrilled that lessons were shown at Goddard on a small computer screen with kids gathered around. There are plenty of happy parents at Goddard. We were pleased with Goddard at first and have met wonderful teachers. We didn't appreciate how the owner treated us and are happy to have found alternatives that a better fit for our needs.
