Once you get in, it's a disaster. The "merchandise" is laying all over the place. Tons of old medicine bottles and boxes. If it falls off of the shelf, it remains on the floor. The building is unsafe. Should be condemned! The structure is unsafe and walls are crumbling. Weeds are growing through the wall where the plaster is falling. The town Post Office is connected to the building next door, probably the only reason why it hasn't been torn down. Upstairs, the ceiling is falling through.... There is a sign saying it's ok to dig through the boxes!! I was scared that a rat would surprise me! Dirty, stinky, trashy.... don't waist your time or your safety!

Their specialty is items that you would find in a drug store like over the counter beauty and medical treatments, and other pharmaceutical and personal care items. The proprietor said that the shop provides props for movie and television productions, and honestly, the shop itself looks like a movie set. So many items there that you never see anywhere, and they've got tons of each item stacked floor to ceiling in room after room. My daughter and I both made purchases: she got a box full of old makeup items (e.g. Don Juan lipsticks & some very early rare Max Factor items, etc.), one of the things she collects, and I found some vintage IHOP restaurantware in great condition. The prices were very fair. The shop itself is a bit cluttered but worth navigating. After sort of having my mind blown after seeing all the stuff they had (I don't know how else to describe it lol--it's an experience) I did some googling and learned that the proprietor wrote a book on drug store collectibles that I found on ebay. If this is the sort of collecting genre that interests you, or if you just want to go someplace different than you've ever been before, you should check them out.

First off, you will find a vast and constantly changing selection of antique and vintage home furnishings and decor- cabinets, hutches, shelves, accent tables, kitchen ware, a dizzying array of baskets in all shapes and sizes - which the the kind owners gather as they hunt estate sales, flea markets and the like. Most of these pieces are American made, all are handcrafted and one-of-a-kind. Some will have been lovingly restored by proprietor Damien - who also crafts new pieces and can do so to your specifications! We recently bought a house in the area and are slowly making it our very own. I'm in need of a short shelf/hook rack, which might easily be obtained as a cheap piece of crap from Walmart mass-produced in communist China - or I'll pay a few dollars more and have one handmade right here in Ohio. Take a guess which I've decided on. In addition to wood crafts, proprietress Shannon makes personalized T shirts, coffee mugs and koozies with a great selection of designs to choose from. Still don't see something that grabs you? No worries, bring your own design and she'll make it happen. They say you can't always get what you want but that doesn't seem to apply here! Something here for everyone and great gift ideas too. Any unscheduled closing (doesn't happen often) is posted on their facebook page, so if you're making a special trip might want to check that first- or call. It looks really small from the outside, but it is one of those long buildings, so it has more room than you might expect. But make no mistake, the place is small compared to the big commercial fabric stores that most towns have. We parked out front and entered. This place is packed to the gills! Every square inch was loaded with fabric, or patterns, parts, accessories and in the back, they even sell vacuum cleaners! We worked our way around the store and my wife found some items she liked. I liked that even though the store is smaller, they had several folks working so that all the customers were being waited upon without delay. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel welcome. As you might expect, the amount of fabric here isn't as large as some of the bigger quilt shops, but they do have a nice selection. They are located really close to the Spring Valley Shooting Range so makes it easy to get what you need and head to the range for some fun. You can buy your range pass and hunting or fishing licenses at Valley Ammo too.
