They are located in the Church Hill area of Richmond, Va. They also offer some cheese, canned fish and meats. The staff was doing a tasting with a vendor when I arrived and they did acknowledge me when I entered. Towards the end, one person stepped away to see if I was ok which I appreciated and she was very friendly. I mentioned that I had been across the street at the Cobra Burger but hadn't noticed them and she advised if you purchase a bottle from them, you can take in the restaurant to drink and they will open for you and waive the corkage fee. I believe they offer tastings but not 100% sure.

Second Bottle takes away all these concerning things and makes it approachable and fun. As is true to wine, each bottle has a story. You have a chance to speed date your bottle by reading the beautiful detailed description around its neck made by the owner. Every bottle in the shop has a mini dive into what to expect from the wine. I think the way the wines are organized here are phenomenal. Marie Kondo would applaud the organization of this wine shop! Each wine is on a shelf labeled with which country or region it's from. There is also a variety of snacks to pick from (fresh baguettes included). Erin, the owner, is what makes this 5 star place deserving of 100 more stars. Her passion for wine and the winemakers is so inspiring. It's owners like her that make wine so special. I'm grateful Church Hill has a gem like Second Bottle. Be sure to try their free tastings on Thursday 5-7pm. Also there is no corkage fee if you want to have a bottle of wine with your burger at Cobra Burger next door. They also do a film and wine series with LC Cinema that I'm obsessed with. We had no idea what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. The food tasted fresh and homemade with a major comfort food vibe. The dessert wasn't described but we received a chocolate cake that was so good. A quick stop to pick up the meal and dinner is served! The staff from ordering to pick up were friendly. Can't wait to see what's on the menu for next week!

They are located at the front of the store in the freezer by the windows. WOW! They had a ton of flavors and it was so hard choosing which to get. We met the owner Faizal who was super friendly and talked to us about these popular ice cream sandwiches. After staring at the freezer for a few minutes trying to decide on flavors we all ended up with 5 ice cream sandwiches - 2 strawberry shortcakes, pecan pie, miso churro & peach cinnamon. We got to the car and ripped them open. They got soft quick so be sure to eat them up quickly. These ice cream sandwiches were huge. Both sides of the sandwiches were thick and chewy and the ice cream in the middle was stacked full giving you that perfect bite. The flavors were all so so good!!! My fave though would probably be the strawberry shortcake which had chunks of strawberries in it. The pecan pie was very good too, my fave ice cream flavor is butter pecan so I knew I would love the pecan pie flavor. Can't wait to try more of these and we will definitely be back to north side for their full stock of them! The deli itself is great, and makes a lot of awesome sandwiches for decent prices. As I said, I don't like the weird upcharges for certain ingredients, but so be it. It makes the prices of a sandwich soar from decent to ridiculous. The sandwiches aren't altogether authentic Italian NY-NJ style, but they are very good. I loved the parts of it that I had fresh, however when I had the rest of the sandwich a little later it had gotten extremely squidgy and soggy because they use a regular loaf of bread rather than anythng hard or Italian. Again, makes it less authentic but still very tasty. Despite these remarks, I haven't had a sandwich this good in the Richmond area before, so you should give it a try. And if it were Niche Produce, then they'd only sell unusual and hard to get hipster vegetables and sandwiches. Whereas if it wer Nix Produce, it would close down soon. And if it were Knickers Produce then I would have torn them down a lot more quickly and intensely than I did in this review.

I pulled over to get some Hanover tomatoes as the colorful advertising signs lured me in! I bought a few things, the tomatoes, some cukes, a few apples. Here's where I take my "stand"! I hesitate to say anything negative about local folks, after all, they are just trying to make a buck, but I was not impressed with the produce here. The strawberries were Driscoll's, the same as at any grocer and they were past their prime. The raspberries were fuzzy and the broccoli was not fresh at all! The prices were not even as good as the Food Lion down the street. But, I went ahead and purchased some fruit and veggies to support this stand. They don't take credit cards so I had to go to my car and hunt for change. The plants and garden décor they had for sale were high priced as well. The guy working there didn't know where the produce came from when I asked. I left and went to Food Lion and finished my produce shopping. Sadly, I wouldn't stop again, there are so many other nice farmer's market around that deserve and earn my business.
