I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing. After viewing a property and clearly expressing that I wanted to make an offer, I was told comps would be prepared that evening. Communication then became delayed and inconsistent despite the time-sensitive nature of a real estate transaction. I understand that personal and professional issues can arise, but responsiveness, urgency, and follow-through are critical qualities in a buyer's agent -- especially at the very beginning of a relationship. Unfortunately, the lack of accountability and communication gave me little confidence moving forward. We were referred to Rick by the top renowned financial expert Dave Ramsey because we were looking to sell a rental property. After sitting down, we told Rick about our intentions to sell one of our rentals, but Rick already knew that from our info from Dave Ramsey; Rick convinced us not to sell at this time because the economy wasn't strong enough to get a good return to make even a fair profit. He suggested we wait until spring of 2025 when the numbers are projected to be much better and so would be the profits. After listening to his reasoning my husband and I agreed with his sound presentation. We have been in this 'game' only a short time but do know that all real estate agents make a much much bigger commission selling/buying a home than renting one out. That is a very important fact in our case, my husband and I were already leaning towards selling so it probably wouldn't take much convincing to have us continue with that plan to sell. If we sold, that real estate agent, when the house was sold, would receive a nice size commission check. But you should know real estate agents by law have a duty to look out for your interests, not their own. Rick won our hearts and loyalty towards him for living up to that rule.
