This is on the car buying experience I had here. So we went in looking for a new car. We found one we decided to purchase. Our salesperson was nice, but not great by any means. The real problem is when they bring over Adrian to play "bad cop." It is a dealer strategy I can't stand that goes on everywhere. I explained I'm in sales and not to play around. I had given them a price quote from another comparable car. They then go in with a high price...much higher. Adrian thinking he is the greatest salesperson seemed to attempt the "don't be the first to speak after naming your price" strategy. Really?!?!? Along with the attempt to stare into your soul as he named the price. They tried to explain how much better their car was, etc and how it was worth it. Our salesperson was then a bit rude to the truck driver that walked in asking where to drop off the cars. Really rubbed me the wrong way with the elitist attitude. We left and took our business to Jim Ellis Mazda where we got the car we wanted, a FAIR price and ethical salespeople. read more

The service was fast. BUT 1. I wanted to do alignment along with the new tires I was planning to get. But then I decided not to get the tires from Mazda because they were soo expensive. And I told the service guy no need for alignment since I wasn't getting the tires. But in the end, when they finished service they charged me for alignment. I didn't argue with them for that because I got a call and had to leave quickly to visit someone who was taken to the hospital. 2. They did the battery performance and said it was good 100%. But that night my battery failed and the next day my car won't start. 3. I also notice he was not fully sure of what each package had or what all needs to be done or the price etc. seemed confused. 4. I was finally charged a huge amount which at the same time I could have got it done all for way less. The coffee was good, the waiting room was great, the service was fast. But in the end, my service experience was not good and I am not going to take my car there again for service. read more

Poor experience buying a car from Rick Case. I would suggest driving 15 minutes to Mall of Georgia Mazda for much better service. While the salesperson was decent, the paperwork experience and the people working while dealing with the financing were rude and pretty much ignored me. Even though I had an appointment, I waited OVER AN HOUR pass my appointment time to see someone. I reached out to several people within Rick Case and NO ONE ever followed-up with me regarding my poor experience. Went into Rick Case today after looking at cars at another Mazda dealer in the area who wanted MSRP + $2500 in dealer "extras" for a new CX-5. Not only did Rick Case not try to sell me pin striping, door paint protectors and tire gloss protection at ridiculous markup that I didn't want, but came down below MSRP (during the Covid chip shortage) and honored the loyalty cash incentive from Mazda. Then I found out that they double the mfg powertrain warranty to 10 year/120k miles on all new cars, and will come pick up the car from my home or work for any service appointments (routine maintenance or repairs). First car I've bought in 10 years, but super happy with the experience and kudos to Shan for the professional experience. read more

Inaccurate service. I brought my car in for diagnose as to why my AFS light was blinking. They said my newly replaced headlights were not OEM parts, wanted to charge me 3k to replace them - charged me $200 for the diagnosis. I took my car to Jim Ellis Mazda (where my bodyshop bought the new headlights and are indeed mazda parts) they recalibrated and the afs light stopped blinking. Jim Ellis also did an inspection of some needed maintenance - so they'll also be getting more business from me. Rick Case failed. read more

I worked with Juan (Olajuwon) and was communicating back and forth about the out the door pricing for a Mazda CX-5. I repeatedly said I wanted a price that included all fees and taxes. He sent me a quote stating it included everything in the price. Call a sales manager to confirm it, turns out he lied and it was a sales price NOT an out the door price like he said. Multiple reviews have stated this sales rep is a liar and gives false quotes to get customers in the building so be sure to call a sales manager and confirm before wasting a trip there. I brought my car in on Monday 2021-12-20 to get my keyless entry reprogrammed. The member at the service counter told me it would take over three hours to get it done. Instead he scheduled me an appointment for Tuesday 2021-12-21. I showed up and another member at the counter said it would take a couple of hours to get it done. Fast forward two and a half hours. They tell me that they cannot reprogram my car for the keyless entry because I need a new key to make it happen. No one told me that yesterday when I made the appointment. The member could not even tell me why I needed to other another key or why my one key would not work. What a huge waste of time read more

Bought a used 2017 VW Jetta from this dealership this past December, and less than 2 months later, the low tire pressure light came on. I immediately got the spare on, and upon inspecting the tire, saw that it had jagged uneven cracks all along the inner tire wall. I've never seen anything like it before. The service department conveniently insists that it must be from me hitting a pot hole. I showed the damage to several mechanics and tire salesmen and they all said this is not damage that happens from hitting a pothole. One suggested that what probably happened was the previous owner hit a nail or something, got the tire patched, and then driving on low pressure over time caused the tire to malfunction. Rick Case Mazda sold me a car with a bad tire due to their failure to properly inspect the car before they sold it to me. And now they just outright refuse to make it right. Buyer beware. read more

Things started off really shaky here. I scheduled an appointment online for 7am. I arrive at 6:45am and the gate is locked. By 7:05am the gate was still locked. Then around 7:10am a young lady (later found out she is a service advisor), finally opened the gate. There was another car ahead of me and we proceeded to drive to the service entrance. Well what do you know, the service entrance was locked as well. We had to wait for that same lady to open those doors, start the computers, open the bay and move other cars out of the way. When all of that was finally done and she had finished checking in the other customer. It was now 7:35am. When I get to the counter, she told me that the online scheduler does not transfer appointments into their system so I had to give her all my car information and reason for coming in again. What an inconvenience and my frustration level was very high by this time. I specifically booked the first appointment time of the day in order to get out as soon as possible. They did not take my car back to the technician bay until about 8am. If I would've known this, I could've caught another hour of sleep before leaving the house. Anyway, the service advisor (hate that I forgot her name) was extremely personable, polite and did keep me abreast of all the diagnoses and work that was being done. After waiting for four hours, I ended up having to be put in a loaner car and was told that my vehicle would be ready before they closed. I did not get a call from the service advisor until the following day. Also, in the meantime, I noticed that the loaner vehicle inspection sheet stated that they gave me car on a full tank and that I must return it with the same level of gas or be charged $4/gal. First off, they gave me the vehicle with half a tank and secondly, there is a gas station right across the street, there is no way they should be charging $4/gal. I immediately called the dealership back and informed them that they gave me the vehicle with half a tank and that I did not want to be held responsible/charged. They said that was fine. When I returned the vehicle (a little over half a tank), I reiterated the situation and the service advisor said it was fine and that I actually did not have to put gas in the loaner vehicle at all unless it was about on empty. Well I sure wish someone would've told me that sooner, even better they should notate that on the paperwork they give you with the vehicle. I could have saved a few bucks and applied that to my service bill. Oh well, you live and you learn. Overall, I am satisfied with Rick Case Mazda because they were able to fix an issue that two other places were unable to. But they need to work on the front end of the business, getting customers online appointments in their system, checking customers in on time and accurately informing them of the loaner vehicle policy. Now to focus on the waiting area: They have some sofas and individual seats. A large TV, free coffee (wish they would add HERBAL TEA to the selection), free water bottles, and food & drink vending machines. I'm not a coffee drinker but they had a selection of Starbucks coffee so I assume that makes a number of people happy. I was able to snag an area with an outlet, but they could use more outlets. Lastly, they have free WiFi. I did not try to use the shuttle service, but their website says they have one. I was there too early for establishments to be open and I was using the time to catch up on work. Overall, this place is a-okay with me. It has some flaws, but it has great customer service which can make up for so much. read more

I will say first, the salesman was great, very personable and friendly. But what a cheap manager and financial manager. Both were extremely fake and did not care about what we had to say. During the purchase, they were extremely cheap and would not budge on prices. Saying "We're taking a hit selling you this car". Still, we purchased a 2016 mazda6 and they only gave us 1 key and no floor mats. When we asked them to give us a 2nd key they said, "We can't do that", and "it is what it is". My first impressions of this place are good. I'm familiar with Rick Case dealerships, based on previously living in South Florida. I found a used Mazda 6 -2015, (my first Mazda) at a Cherokee County Toyota dealership (good dealership) in Canton, GA. Rick Case, in changing my oil upon request and doing a thorough inspection, allayed my apprehension about buying an brand I was unfamiliar with. Mercier Bobb, the Service Advisor, gave me a report card on it, and the team even suggested I could wait a little bit before changing front rotors, which I could tell were a little warped. Big score, right there! Today, I had Rick Case Mazda change the transaxle fluid, because another dealer, near my old home in Buford, kept telling me the transaxle fluid was a 'lifetime' fluid, which I knew was wrong! The other dealer also tried to push that, 'cleaning out your fuel injection' crap. Which any auto geek knows, is a waste of money, on a modern gdi engine, if you use high quality gasoline with proper cleaning agents. Lastly, the price for the drain and fill was higher than the quote. However, Mr. Bobb, and the Chris Well, Service Director apologized for the error. Chris cut the labor cost in half, to get me near the original quote. Big score, number two! These guys are my preferred service center for my Mazda from now on. Mr. Bobb, I believe was a tech before, so he seems to know his stuff. I'm anal about cars (they usually exceed 300,000 miles), so if I don't like the answers, you don't get my business. read more

I purchased my 2018 Mazda CX-5 from this dealer on 2018 brand new. At the time of I had the Mazda mobile start installed. Currently there is a recall which gives the option to replace the mobile start, get car play or a discount towards a new vehicle. I asked to get the remote start replaced and they did not honor that. They offered the car play which I already have. I was given the run around from the start and treated terribly. I was disrespected, cheated and humiliated. Mazda nor Rick Case Mazda are willing to honor the repair or replacement so I am out of luck thru no fault of my own. read more

Not only is Bruce, in service, super friendly and accommodating, but Chuck, the service manager, is also just beyond helpful and will bend over backward to make life easier for you. Lee, the GM, listened to me about an issue I had with a prior vehicle, and worked to get me into another vehicle that was similar. Mona, my sales representative, KILLED it! She will tell you anything you want to know about the vehicle, without giving you the dealer shmooze. Her matter-of-fact approach leaves you feeling confident in your choice, all questions answered - she KNOWS the product, and can talk about features of all the model years on the lot. There's no waiting for the "what's the catch" moment with Mona, as she's likely the friendliest and most honest sales person I've ever dealt with. Recently had a really bad customer service/sales experience here. I was interested in a car from their pre-owned inventory. The online ad had very limited information but I was contacted by a "sales manager." After going back and forth was finally able to gain more information about the car. Made and offer, we haggled a bit and the offer was accepted and paper work was supposed to be forwarded (they offered to Fed Ex overnight) while I gained a cashier's check for the vehicle. I offered to put money down in order to show good faith, was told that it was not necessary. A day passes no paperwork (several texts ignored) next day I get a call from the same sales manager saying that "he was off the previous day" and that the car was sold. Their receptionist previously told me that this particular sales manager was off on Fridays, so it was a very lame excuse. I would not recommend doing business with Rick Case, deals require trust & unfortunately I cannot say you can do so with this dealer. read more

Mind you that I was actually considering selling my car to them even if they didn't match X amount. I was originally planning on heading out to Marietta Mazda after I was told by my old mech that they would be the go-to guys in the greater Atlanta region. After consulting several reviews on yelp and other word by mouth sources, I decided to give Rick Case a try and am truly glad that I did. I drove into Rick Case Mazda late Thursday afternoon for a long overdue headlight restoration which they originally quoted me for at $100 dollars/light. As my old place was charging me 160 dollars for both, I figured I'd just take the hit since I was on vacation and I didn't want to be driving 600 miles the next day with a shoddy headlight. Two hours later I got a phone call from Rick Case Mazda saying that my headlights were finished and on top of that, they gave me a 50% military discount. The restoration job was every bit as awesome as the discount itself. Will definitely come back if I'm ever back in the ATL. read more

LEMON ALERT!!! I made a 3 hour drive to purchase a car there. When I was there I was told the front brakes were resurfaced. Driving home I notice a shimmy when I stopped. The next day the check engine code came on . I called the sales guy and he told me that no the front brakes weren't but the back brakes were (Alex the manager said the rotors were replaced in the back and reminded me what a great deal I got). Obviously someone was not telling the truth. They told me to check the car out at my local Mazda dealership. The found a P code stating the car had a bad oil change, there was leaking unrelated to this from the oil pain and another spot and he said yes the front brakes would probably need to be replaced. I have changed my own oil a few times and it is a simple procedure, the new dealership was confused by the code because they had never seen this code. The new place changed the oil and could not get the check engine light on and said it was a very strange code and often dealers reset codes to pass emissions. They did not drive it as much as I did and could not replicate the problem. In the meantime I got an email asking for a review and I told them my problem. I was told to email Chris Wells, the service manager and I did explaining my issues. No response until yesterday welcoming me to the "family" and how they provided top notch service. If a repair team sells you a car with bad breaks, problems with a check engine light and leaking oil, they are NOT TOP NOTCH. i called Alex and said I'd like them to pick the car up they sold me a lemon. He told me no and reminded me what a great deal i got, so I had to take another trip down to return the car for a full refund. Alex was in the showroom and rudely gave me my check for a full refund. There is a law that says that within 3 days of having the car I can return it. I said thank you and goodbye. He said nothing. I found Alex and team to be incredibly rude and deceitful. They will do anything to sell you a car and their service department is the worse to pass a lemon like this through. Avoid this place at all costs!!!!!!! So never through this "great deal" like this did I receive any apologies or concern for the tremendous stress and amount of time and money I lost from work fixing this problem. DO NOT GO TO RICK CASE IF you want a dressed up looking dealership that will do ANYTHING to sell you a car and blame you because you don't appreciate the good deal you got. Also while I was there, they were giving an outrageously high repair quote to a woman for service that should never cost this much. She didn't have a lot of money, but they'll rip anyone off. Last Saturday, I came in to get 4 tires replaced on my SUV. This is my 4th Mazda in my years of owning vehicles and for many of those years I have been a loyal customer of the service team at Rick Case on Pleasant Hill Road. They have always been fair, reasonable and offered good customer service. This time when I came in I was feeling very ill, but this was my one opportunity in a busy schedule to replace my tires. I was there in spite of how I felt, because it needed to be done. Jeff Westbrook was efficient, but also kind and quickly accessed the situation and arranged for me a Lyft home. The Lyft person was difficult and cancelled the ride. Rather then me having to wait for another ride (again), he asked Lamonte to drive me to my home in downtown Duluth. Lamonte graciously did so and was a pleasure. Later, in the day my tires were done and Jeff called me to tell they were complete. I guess I must have sounded particularly awful at that point, even though I had been sleeping since I had been dropped off. He was compassionate and mentioned that I sounded terrible. He offered to bring someone with my SUV over to my house once we have payment arranged on the phone. Ahmad contacted me. He let me know he was on his way over. I signed the paperwork and was handed my keys. There was another person who helped handle this for he was the person who drove the technician home, but I don't know his name. All of it was completely outstanding service in every aspect and was handled with a smile and well wishes. This is amazing in this day and age when customer service can really be sadly neglected. It was very much appreciated and it is never something I would expect every time, but the day when it was really needed it was truly a wonderful thing. This is just one more of the many reasons I will continue to recommend Mazda to my friends and family. read more

This is my 3rd visit to Rick Case. The service department is great. They are always friendly and help me out with coupons when I don't have any. The wait is long, especially with an appointment, but they do make sure you're comfortable with a large screen TV in the customer lounge with complimentary water, tea and coffee and they have 2 very reasonably priced vending machines. read more

Horrible service. Kept my car for a month to not do the service on a car that has had the same problem every four months since I bought it brand new under factory warranty. The last time I brought it in they said they couldnt duplicate the noise, I drove 3 lights down Pleasant Hill and the car began the noise again! This place is horrible. We worked with Juan R, and he was great..... very professional, helpful, never talked over us, and, most importantly, no B.S. As with most any car dealing, there was some negotiating to be done, but he remained friendly through the entire process and never became hard to deal with. Assuming that they make the last payment on our Hyundai and follow up on FedEx-ing an optional item that they were out of stock of (as agreed), (and I am confident that they will), we will be return customers. read more

I had told all of the sales people i was shuffeled to over the course of several days that i was going to finance through Madza at 0% offer. All good until i got in front of the finance person and he said they were going to add back $1500.00 to the agree sales price if i took the Mazda 0% option. I came into the service department on July 27th, 2020 to get my driver side seat belt inspected because it no longer is latching. I have had the worst customer experience dealing with this department for the last few days. The only person that has given me some assistance has been Tori. The day that I came to the service department, the manager supposedly was not there, and I was told that my seat belt assembly was out of warranty. I contacted Mazda USA to get additional information about the repair of my seat belt, which they have tried on several occasions to get in touch with the service department as well. For the last few days I have been trying to get in touch with the service manager Chris and was told that he would get back in touch with me. Today I tried to call Chris, no answer, and I decided to leave a message. He called me back, which he falsly stated that no one told him that I was trying to get in touch with him, and that he does not sit by his phone all day to see who is calling him. His level of customer service within that interaction was horrible. He was very very rude, constantly cut me off, and eventually I asked him to transfer me to the general manager. He reluctantly transferred me to the product specialist Marquelle McKay, which is not the general manager Masaud Wiggins. Which I'm sure he knows that. I have also tried to get in touch with you Mr. Wiggins, with no luck, as your voicemail box is full. Due to the horrible experience that I have had within the last few days at the service department, I will be seeking service for my Mazda elsewhere. In the future, I hope that you, as well as other managers, at Rick Case Mazda treat future customers with better care than I have received. Unless you like receiving horrible customer service, I will never recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

Came here 4/20/18 just looking after visiting the Mazda dealer on Alpharetta highway. Long story short I drove off the lot 4/21 with a CX-5. Rashad made this process bearable, this was my first time buying a car but with him and the help of my parents we were able to come out with a great deal and an amazing warranty. From Rashad to Jamal to Travis the process was smooth sailing.. of course my dad gave them a hard time, but he was satisfied and they did pretty well professionally (he can be pretty intense and the weak usually crack under pressure). Each person I dealt with was knowledgeable and willing to help. I'm not hard to please since I normally go into major decisions knowing exactly what I want, but their effort made it even more worth it. We bought a Mazda CX-5 from this place so I'm reviewing the car, the sale and our first experience with their oil change. Car: 5/5 Last year, we purchased a new 2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring and we love it. There is really nothing more to say about that, great car. The Sale: 4/5 Most of my dealership experiences suck because I do a ton of research, know my stuff and come in ready to buy for the price that I want. So when I give these guys a 4/5, it's basically one of the better experiences that I've had. We mostly worked with two people. The first guy was the one who greeted us, took us for a test drive, answered all the question and helped us figure out a starting price point. The first guy was awesome. No pressure, very knowledgeable about the car and would look things up that he didn't know, which made me very confident in his answers. He spent a long time with us even though we didn't show too much enthusiasm (poker face). Anyway, at the end he has the sales guy do the money talk with us. The sales guy refuses to work with me until I sign a paper saying that I'm ready to buy the car. We really wanted to buy this car so I signed, but I was super close to walking out at this point. First we did a credit check and I'm in the mid 800s so they offer me a 72 month, no interest finance option, which is great. Then I tell him what I want to pay. He tells me that he can't do it. So now we can start negotiating :) I basically agreed to pay a bit upfront if he would match some of it in a price drop, which he did. This brought the cost to what I wanted (truecar.com lowest price). The thing is that the guy couldn't do basic math in his head, which I found very annoying. If you're in sales, learn to count. Waiting for him to type everything into a calculator, then having to correct him, then waiting for him to re-type it really made me not want to work with him. But w/e, we were almost done. Then they started with the up-selling of insurance, etc. At this point, I just wanted to leave with the new car. Overall though, this wasn't that bad at all. I'd definitely buy another car from them! The oil Change: 0/5 Three months pass and I get a call from the dealership that it's time to bring the car in for the first inspection and oil change. It's odd that they don't ask how many miles I have on the car, but w/e. We don't drive a lot, so the car only had ~750 miles. We come in (20 minute drive each way) and I start asking if it makes sense to change the factory oil, which is normally better than the oil that they use, this early. The manager agrees, so I reschedule. It's good that they didn't try to get money out of me, but I also think that they should train their callers a bit better. Three more months pass and I get a confirmation call. The evening before the appointment, after their closing hours, it snowed so some local places closed. I figured that they would call me if that was the case, but since my appointment was at their opening hours (I still had to go to work), I couldn't wait to call someone myself. Well, I drove there, they were closed and no one called, ever. After a week of them not contacting me, I called, explained the situation and scheduled to come in the next day (no apology or anything). The next day I came in and they say that they are already closing....so I get really mad and call the manager. The manager made some excuses about them having different systems, but found our appointment. They gave us an estimate of 30 mins so we took the Mazda Miata for a test drive (it only has two seats so my gf and I got the car to ourselves). This was fun, but when we came back, we still had to wait another 30+ minutes. The only thing they did, from what I could tell, was an oil change. They charged us something like $70-80 and didn't even have a car wash for that price. That will be the last time that I get an oil change from them. read more
