I'm extremely disappointed in this office as a whole. I was involved in and off roading accident with one of my jeeps and before I filed the clam I wanted to confirm that it would be covered because I never filed a claim for an OffRoad accident before . So after finding out from this office my agents office . That off-roading is covered as long as it's not during an off road competition . I was not involved in a competition during this accident . I haven't been involved in an off road competition of any kind in over 15 years so later in the day I filed the claim . This was was over 2 weeks ago . Now State Farm is saying they are still investigating my claim because Rick Douglas office added notes to my file to the effect that they feel I was in a competition during my accident because they felt the purpose of my previous inquire was to falsely frame my clams to favor coverage . I called to talk to Rick 3 times in the past 2 weeks and I was told he was not there and would not be back until the Monday after Thanks Giving . The Service here is Fantastic! Kudos to Laura as she is available and always gets back to us in a timely manner. She has saved me a lot of trouble with good advice. I have had insurance with them for about 14 years. Recommended by my son in laws family who have all their properties and cars cover with them longer than that. I've been so disappointed by the way we were treated by this office . We have numerous vehicles and 1 house insured with them but also use another State Farm office in Nevada for another home of ours . The difference in our treatment once we needed to use them for an accident claim has been a complete turn around. They have been rude, dismissive, suspicious , accusing us of lying and changing things, when all along it was their office staff who mishandled the information given. They have continued to delay our claim at every point, even after interviewing numerous witnesses that verify and legitimize our claim. It's been nearly two months that they have been keeping us in limbo . We have never felt so unable to discuss this because of their preconceived suspicions and the way they kept dismissing us. Rick and his team have been nothing but professionals handling my coverage since the 1990's. As one example, I hit a washout on a fire access road in Los Coyotes Indian Reservation while offroading with friends, which damaged the front axle in my Jeep Wrangler TJ beyond repair. Rick's team sprung into action right away and everyone a pleasure to work with while getting a new front axle replacement for my Jeep. Another example is when my Jetta got rear-ended on the 91 expressway. I called Rick's team while at the scene of the accident and they immediately walked me through all the details on what to get from the other driver who hit me, taking the right pictures, following up with their insurance, etc. Special shoutout to Laura who always returns my calls in a timely manner and is always excited to hear from me and genuinely concerned about helping me with all my mishaps, no matter how big or small. Rick Douglas must be a fantasy. We have never talked to him. We have never seen him. He has never called us. We don't know where they got the picture on his business card. Laura is always busy. It is difficult to reach her. Messages dissolve when sent to her. We received a letter Oct 28, 2014, from Bloomington Il advising us to check out replacement cost of our house. We delivered the appraisal performed on our home in August to Laura on Nov 10, 2014. Dec 24, 2014, we got a letter saying State Farm cannot use our appraisal. They have no underwriting information. When they sent the letter to us to check out the replacement cost , what they meant was that we could increase the amount of the replacement cost, but we could not reduce it, even if we had a recent appraisal. The "personal lines underwriter" wrote that we should call "Rick Douglas" for answers. But we cannot find Rick Douglas. read more

I have had State Farm for about 30 years. I have always been able to call Robin and she always has been patient, curteous and helpful. She cares about me and my family and always asks how they are doing. Recently I was in an accident and she was the 1st one I called. She was right there with me and gave me instructions on what I needed to do. I had to deal with claims after that, but I called her a few times just for advice. She always takes my call, and even if it isn't her area, she still listens to me and advises me. I, for a hot second got a quote from Geico but quickly realized that even though they may have been cheaper, I would not have gotten the same great customer service I had come to know. In dealing with the person who hit me's insurance (Gieco) I am so thrilled that I didn't make the change! What a joke they are! They basically laughed at me, they were impatient, spoke to me like I was 3 year old, and they flat our lied to me about the release paperwork. Robin instructed me to call State Farm's claims dept to ask about the forms they wanted me to sign. Pam was so helpful in answering my questions, she was patient and understood what I was going through. I wouldn't change from State Farm for anything, it's not worth it! I am so surprised by the negative reviews posted by others and am positive there must be more to the stories that aren't offered. I have been with State Farm since 1978 and my wife even before that. We moved to the Temecula Valley in 1987 and that is when we transferred to Rick Douglas' office. We have had our share of claims over the years, some our fault and some the other person. Not once have we had a bad experience. All our questions and concerns are always addressed in a timely manner and communication is always top notch as well. We have had several cars, 2 of them Classics, a small RV, our home, and business insured with Rick Douglas and could not be happier with his service. My go to contact at the office is Laura. She has been so helpful in all aspects of my insurance needs.Some have said they don't think Rick Douglas exists but I can tell you he certainly does but if you call the office at 4:00pm on a Friday afternoon what do expect. The man deserves to take off a bit early. He knows his staff has everything under control. Please note that my last name and Rick's are the same but we are not related.
