This place is beautiful. They used wood chips on the playground and there's a lot of shade for the play area. There's a bridge there's some hiking area there's some asphalt for a riding little tricycles for scooters. They have water fountain picnic tables and even a barbecue. What they didn't do was shade the bench areas. There's no place to sit in the shade if you can't slide on the slides. Trying to watch my granddaughter play but I would have to walk too far away to get shade so that's going to stop me from coming on warm days. There are a few walkers out here. So it's a good place to walk for your health. I'm thinking my daughter will bring the grandkids out here. But I'll only come if it's fairly cool outside. read more

It's pretty pretty here, very nature-y. Very "am I still in the mid-cities?" There's even steep rocky hills (are they hills? Cliffs?) that make your park experience extra scenic. Tons of big gorgeous trees and plenty plush, green lawns for frolicking, a little babbling stream with a walking trail bridge that goes over it. Like a storybook, for real. Rickel Park has 1.5 miles of walking and jogging trails, a picnic area with tables, a couple pavilions, and a great playground that's relatively shaded. There's nothing particularly novel or modern going on here, but this park actually transports you out of suburbia for a second and into the woods. Especially if it's not too crowded. With the right weather it's honestly so peaceful and enjoyable and feels like you're on a little trip. Bring a picnic and play and hike and enjoy. read more

PSA: the iPhone map app location for this park is WRONG! It led us to a place miles away off the 121. The address on Yelp is correct. The big draw of this park is the beautiful paved trail. It is short and loops around on itself, but some areas are quite steep! I've gotten out of hill shape since moving to Texas and these would be a great way to train. The trails are shaded by the vast number of trees and they seem well maintained. The play structure is a little old and lacks the excitement that some newer, more creative parks in the area have. It is NOT SHADED and there are NO BATHROOMS. The kids still had fun, but I wouldn't drive there for the park - the trails are the main attraction. read more

Great park for a quick walk, nice hills and flat areas. Small park with a playground too.

Lovely park! We headed out there on Monday morning and it was great. We saw a couple of guys go through the park and cleaned up. The park is super clean and many trials. It has uphill and downhill for anyone who would like to jog around there as well. read more

Hill sprints!! Yes, if you want to get it in and get a great nature workout this for sure would be your spot. The park is great for some quick miles if you want to do some running or walking. As a distance runner I will say this probably would not be your spot for a long run per se, but it will get the job done. They have some spots throughout the trail that will surprise you with some crazy steep hills. I mean those hills truly knocked me off of my feet with how steep they were! There are also some views that will make you think for split second that you are not in DFW anymore. As far as parking goes there is plenty of spots and some pavilion areas if you are meeting up with family. I also probably would not venture out here after a certain time of day, it's not quite in the best of areas. But during the day, check it out for sure and bring friends to get a nice little workout in! read more

Beautiful and relaxing park that is a great wall--especially if you like a little bit of a challenge. Really like that it has a few steape areas as well as flat areas. Can get a little dark and scary at night, so I recommend heading out before the sun starts to go down. Happy Trails! read more

I really enjoyed coming to this park. I brought my dog here yesterday for a nice walk since we were in the area. It is a nice medium sized park with a very pretty view. This is a good place to walk your dog or have a nice picnic. A lot of foliage all around. They also have a really cute bridge by the water. Love it! read more

Great park, lotsa places for doggie and me to play and explore. Don't go too far off the path or else you will run into homeless camps in the woods. The homeless are creepy and gross in this park and they always wanna bum cigarettes and think you're lying when you say you don't smoke. Great park, I love it! read more

Hey guess what! Klyde Warren Park is no the only park in Dallas/Ft. Worth!. I really like this place because it has a cool play area for the kids and paved walking/jogging trail that is big enough so that you don't get too bored quickly. They also have several picnic areas and open spaces to play. I have never seen this park overly crowded and appears to be very safe. In the summer there are plenty of paleteros to by ice cream from. good times. read more

Love this park. It's within walking distance from my house. Very kid and dog friendly. They have dog poop stations (not always equipped, but hey, the effort was made), a nice jungle gym, and a great walking path. The multiple water fountains are even set up for dogs. Some of the paths are a tad too steep to push a stroller on comfortably, but there's a great look out. read more

This is a great park. It has s playground and picnic areas. The best part is the walking trails. It is my favorite walking area.

This park is not that big but it uses it's space in all the right ways. I enjoy going to this park because it allows me to feel like I'm at Turner Falls, or Davis Mountains, without leaving the DFW Metroplex. This is also the only park I've came across with steep paved hills if your looking to build up some booty muscles while running. read more
