Beautiful park with incredible trails! I loved the bird watching area especially and the fishing piers were great as well.

Terrible gym. Incompetent and rude staff. First time I've been kicked off a machine in 30 years of…read moreworking out in gyms across the world...literally while in the middle of my set by an employee unracking my weights and telling me to get off cause they are moving the exact machine I was currently using,.. I only had two sets left, mind you, and my sweater was on machine, I was getting ready to sit in it and use it, and the employee starts unracking my weights. I said "excuse me, I am using this and he said well we are moving it"! Never ever would this happen at 24 hour fitness or any other commercial big or small private gym. They know how to put their patrons first at those other places. IF he actually was taught to put members first, he would've let me finish the extra three minutes it would have taken me to complete my sets... never going back here. Or they could've put a sign to not use machine, like all other gyms in the world do. I have been a personal trainer all my life and never have I witnessed anything like what happened to me here today. If you're serious about your workouts and your time in the gym, don't bother with this incompetent staff that doesn't know how to put paying members first. What I experienced today is like eating at a restaurant and while you're in the middle of taking a bite of your half eaten burger, the waiter comes to your table and grabs your plate with your fries from underneath you. Who does that? LOL. But that is not the worst of it.. after the manager talks to me, the rude employee that kicked me off my machine (older man) comes over to where I am and rolls his eyes and tells me "get over it"!!! I've never been spoken to so poorly by a grown man. Shame on him for speaking to a lady that way. Zero respect, zero common sense, zero gym etiquette or know how. These people are running a joke of an establishment and their employees know nothing about serious training or why people actually go to the gym and yet they work at a gym. Canceled my family's membership and never going back to this dump.

Nice Colleyville city park with some historic charm: the site was previously a dairy farm and the…read moremilking room and barn has been preserved. There is also a 19th century log cabin that was moved into the property from its original location on Pleasant Run. Unfortunately a lot of the educational signage is peeling too much to be able to read it, but I'm not sure if that's because they're old and weathered or if they have been intentionally scraped as part of a new signage project. The fields, basketball courts, and bathrooms look well maintained. There's a nice walking/bike path that runs around the perimeter of the park which is nice but is completely unshaded. There are two separate bathroom structures. Strangely the bathrooms look 30 years older on the inside than the outside (weird toilets), but they are clean. The stone exterior of the bathrooms are quite nice! There are picnic tables under the shade structure that extends from the bathrooms. The splash pad looks fun, as far as splash pads go, but we haven't gotten a chance to try it out yet since it doesn't turn on until Memorial Day weekend. Check my photos for days and hours of operation on the splash pad. The play structure is fun, but the lack of shade renders it useless for a good portion of the year. The playground is FULL SUN, as are every single one of the surrounding benches. I have a feeling the playground architect didn't actually live in Texas. This is probably a 3 star park, but the historic elements bump it up to 4.
