Absolutely unacceptable. Yesterday, we parked at this marina and paid $30 for parking, as instructed. We placed the receipt on the dashboard, clearly showing the date and time. However, due to the Miami heat, the window slightly rolled down and partially covered the bottom of the ticket. When we returned from our boat ride, we were shocked to find a boot on our car. The staff said it was because the date wasn't fully visible--even though the ticket was right there and we had paid. What's worse is that the receipt doesn't say anywhere that it must be fully visible at all times. We double-checked and are attaching photos of the ticket as proof. We went to the office to explain the situation, but they took zero responsibility. They simply told us there was nothing they could do. In the end, we were forced to pay $62.50 to get the boot removed: $50 for a "Boot Fee" and $12.50 for an "Administration Fee." So we ended up paying $92.50 just to park for a few hours--$30 initially, plus $62.50 because a piece of paper moved. This feels like a perfect scam: everyone wins but you. Terrible customer service, aggressive policies, and absolutely no accountability. We're attaching videos and photos of the boot, the original receipt, and the payment we had to make. One of the worst marinas hands down. They require 12 hours advance notice if you want to use you boat , enough said. However will saw a bit more. They force you into paying $200 plus for their people to wash your boat, you cannot avoid this charge twice per month. Also if you request you boat and come over an hour late they fine you $100 . Had my Searay stored there for about ten years 2010 thru 2020 on dry rack, this team that run the place headed with Mr Javier and one of the managers Betsy were amazing. Very thankful for pleasant experience I had while storing my boat over there. read more

I was here on a weekday and there's signs everywhere that you can only park with a permit. So there's pretty much no visitor parking. But it was a weeknight so the guard said we were fine. But it is otherwise know to be a towing scam operation here for the rest. Inside the marina "Munchie" was super friendly. Even we were blasting music on a week night nobody complained in the marina:) it is gated and hard to get in, you need a decal or talk to someone in the guard house. And the guards drive around bicycles supervising. read more

Rickenbaker marina is not the cheapest, but when you have a vessel worth hundred of thousands of dollars, cheap is not what you're looking for. Rickenbaker adds a ramp for entry to your vessel if your in the water as I am. I also use their cleaning and detail services which are excellent and priced appropriately. This is a full service marina. They will deliver ice to your boat at a scheduled time, they will fuel your boat for you, all those extra services are just the cost of ice it or fuel. No additional fees for special services. read more

I've had my boat in a few marinas in South Florida. These people run a tight ship. They treat small boat owners like yacht owners which is RARE. The gas & ice my boat before fishing trips with one phone call. The entire dock has functional hoses & very clean. They actually put booties on their shoes when they move your boat. No bird crap on my boat either when i dont use it in weeks. In my opinion, it the best manage marina in South Florida. For everybody bashing them for towing cars, there's signs posted everywhere. We were members here for several years and left (thankfully!). Their tow away signage is poor and not sure if they are complying with city codes. I will further investigate. But BEWARE of the company they do business with!!!! KB BOOTING SERVICES booted my son's car last night (he's a minor) and because he didn't have cash on hand the thug got nasty with my son, yelling profanities and telling him he needed his a$$kicked!!! We were on the phone with him and could hear the horrible thug yelling at my son! We called the company 3 times and each time the person who answered said they would call us right back! We are STILL WAITING for a return call!!! Today we called Rickenbacker to tell them the type of people they are associated with and they stand behind the THUGS! The kick backs must be good! They are dirty people and I would BEWARE! On another note, the marina is filthy with oil on the ground from the fork lifts! If you don't care to go home with black oil spots all over the back of your bathing suits, cover ups, Tshirts, and legs, then this is the marina for you! if you plan to rent a boat there beware of a parking scam. This is how it works...boat company offers free parking with reservation, when you arrive you go to the marina office and they give you a visitor parking pass. no written instructions instructions or map provided. no visible signs where visitors can park. upon return you discover the parking company that works for the marina booted your vehicle. you look around and multiple cars received same treatment. if you don't believe me scroll down and read the other reviews from multiple people complaining about the same thing. Ironically, the city of miami sent the marina owners a contract default due to parking...they promised to pay the city $2M to build a parking lot but didn't. Now I know why. I'm sure people would prefer to just pay $20. for parking if there was an option, instead of getting booted. BTW, don't bother to complain as they don't care and will blame it on you. Such a bad way to run a business, no surprise miami voters voted to not to renew their contract and bid it out. read more

This maybe my first review I ever did but I must say from the top down, the Manager/Dock-master Javier(Jay) and his staff hands down make you feel like you are the only one there and there are a lot of boats. The office staff is flawless and the deck hands are there for you above and beyond. They don't know the word "no", they get it done! BEWARE OF THEIR BOOTING SERVICES. they are lurking customers and the minute you leave your car parked you get the boot! i went there to buy a boat left my car for 20 min or so and got back to see a boot on my vehicle and the guy was still there to laugh at my face and collect the money, he had just finished locking it and wouldnt remove it. 10-15 other cars were right next to me with their own boots. Excellent place to store your boat either wet or dry or to stop off on your travels. Can accommodate boats up to 100' and a 9' draft in the wet storage and up to 20,000 lbs in the dry storage. They also have sailboat moorings. They have a fuel dock and a convenience store also. When you stay there you are within walking distance of the Rusty Pelican, Joe's Tiki Bar, Bayside Hut and the beach. read more

They charged me $300 to pull into someone's slip for four hours while a diver fixed the problem. They took my payment to "special accounting " which means the marina owner will never see the money. INITIAL REVIEW: We walked out of Whiskey Joe's to find our car wheels locked. It was $89 to get our car released. Parking rules at the marina were not clearly indicated. UPDATE: The restaurant manager left me their number online and I called and the RESTAURANT comped the $89 booting fee and arranged between the booting company and the marina to get my $89 refunded. Very happy that they took care of us. I just recommend that you are very careful about parking, there is only one place you can park for the restaurant. read more

These guys are THE BEST! Through the internet, I found a boat in Key Biscayne that i wanted to buy "sight-unseen" from here in Maine. I contacted Hurricane/Rickenbacker and they: 1. found me the best marine surveyor I've worked with in 65 years of boating; 2. hauled and cleaned the boat in coordination with the surveyor's inspection;; 3. removed the mast and boom and packaged her expertly for the 1,750-mile truck ride to Maine; 4. sent me photos of every step of the process; I now have over THIRTY-FIVE pictures detailing every element of the breaking down, the cushioning at every potential chafe-point, and the eventual result; 5. dealt seamlessly with the trucking company that I hired to hand the boat off; 6. and then they sent me a bill that was $900 LESS than they had proposed for the work,saying that they had found a way to do some of the work in less time than anticipated. In particular, I want to compliment the yard manager Javier ("Jay") Arritoia who has personally seen to every single step of this operation. When one is buying a boat at a great distance and is relying utterly on the skill and integrity of those hired to handle the deal, nothing matters more than the quality of the person who is quarterbacking it. Jay sets new standards for excellence in that role, and I'm grateful to him and the rest of his outstanding crew. Best location in Miami... I had my boat docked in NMB for much less but living in Brickell along with all my friends it was a pain in the you know what to get to that location. Rickenbacker is a true FULL SERVICE Marina with great staff and once again the best location in Miami - period. read more

Had the time of my life there!! Please go!! My best friend and I rode jet skis there for the first time ever and Frank was very professional and ensured our safety. Even though we were so scared and barely kept up half the time lol, Frank was patient and made sure we still had fun. Edgar was very nice and I love how he stressed safety to us. They really care and are sure that you are having a good time !!! Whiskey Joes is an amazing place to eat at that's right around the corner from the marina. Worst experience ever. Tried to go have a nice meal with my friend and walked back to my car to find two tire locks. There was no sign on my spot saying I could not park there. The booting service claimed I should have seen the two small signs discreetly placed at the entrance and exit of the lot and said if I did not pay them $50 I would be towed. This lot is right in front of Rusty Pelican. Beware of this when going. On top of this, the Rickenbaker Marina service is TERRIBLE. Their customer service is amongst the worst I have come across and they had no understanding of my situation and were completely rude when I tried to continue to speak to them. Don't support this awful marina. There's tons in Miami that you would better off be giving your money to. There were about 5 other cars with tire locks so this is a common issue there. They must be getting a cut of each fine from the booting service, this business is a complete scam. read more
