He will take your business but will not do the work for months and months and he won't even be upfront about it. He would tell you couple weeks and before you know it it is three four months and the work is still not done and you don't even have a date on when it will get done. And if you make a mistake of calling him to ask when he would come to do the work, he wouldn't answer calls for weeks and weeks. And when he eventually answered, he was disrespectful and rude you he was yelling, screaming and swearing. COA is open 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, but closed on Federal Holidays. The COA serves the residents nine communities in two counties. With a roster of nearly 2,500 members, the COA serves the over 50 year-old crowd with a plethora of offerings and services. It has 27 seasonal programs and services offered in house as well as affiliated programs outside the building. In addition, a volunteer force of over 200 dedicated individuals contributes more than 8,000 hours of services annually. One of the salient programs of the COA is its transportation program. The volunteer driver corps drives over 60,000 miles annually, using their own vehicles to provide rides for elderly persons with little mobility or those without transportation. These range from important health and wellness visits, to picking up the week's groceries. Other offerings include the Tom & Tom mens' discussion group, an active weekly forum for organized sharing and discussion (no politics of religion allowed); both French and Spanish immersion discussion groups; power walking at the Proctor Academy gym; health and fitness classes; painting workshops; a needlecraft group, Tai Chi gatherings; women's discussion groups, computer classes; Parkinson's Support classes; Meditation workshops; long-term planning workshops; a Breakfast Book Club; and a Humanistic and Agnostic discussion groups among other activities. The COA also provides Mobility Equipment loaners for people with limited mobility; from canes, to walkers and wheelchairs. One of the salient features of the COA is its Library with numerous fiction and non-fictions literary works for the reading crowd. Not all is discussion and sedentary at the COA. The Outdoor Recreation For Seniors (ORFS) group at the COA is made up of numerous high-energy seniors whose hiking, alpine and nordic skiing, kayaking and snowshoeing activities would put many younger persons to shame.
