Charging what you need to charge for the apples is one thing but they also charge for the use of bounce houses. I don't know but it comes off a a bit greedy. Anyway, for the 4th of July event, while we appreciate that parking was free and was pretty organized, the quality of fireworks was a bit disappointing especially considering that they had some partnership with the town and it was for the USA's 250th.

It is one of our "don't miss" list. Another benefit: they are just across route 26 from "Hungry Hollow Store" which has "to die for cooked goodies".

After we picked our container full, which they supply the containers. We headed back to the store so we could make our purchases. They do have a lot of wonderful foods inside as well, some candies, and drinks, full homemade pies and maple syrup and so on. Something for everyone. Cashier was very nice. And helpful. It was laid back on a Sunday afternoon. Not a lot of people around. And we actually were the only ones in a whole section. The also do apple picking in the fall. And I bet that's super fun with hay rides and mazes and everything made of apples.

I've gotten introduced to so many new items (garlic scapes & pea shoots) that make meals at home so much tastier! There are various CSA options and pick-up spots ~ and the farm itself is beautiful and welcoming (and they have such a sweet dog!) The farm stand always smells amazing and they play the nicest music. It's a great place to stop in and grab a hostess gift (fresh sourdough, cheese, canned spreads, etc.) Throughout the seasons they offer "pick your own" berries and flowers for members, tours and other events - it's just such a great place to be a part of :) Thank you to Keena & the crew!

Given that it's a farm stand and not the location of an actual farm, we were impressed with the selection. During our last visit, they had everything from fresh flowers and cocktail mixers to baked goods and produce. We've tried their cookies, mac and cheese, and produce, and it's never disappointed. Seriously, their peanut butter cookies are to die for the perfect level of sweetness. Also, their onion relish has become a staple in our house.

Where else would you get a chance to frolic in the fields with tiny creatures who's just trying to enjoy some fresh produce as much you. Picking your own food is also fabulous for a cheap meal. They know for every 1 that made it into the basket, 2 went in your mouth. It's accepted loss so stop covering it up, you're not fooling anyone. Such a typically Maine thing to do in summer. Oh, you can pick your own peas here too! Just remember: - June is strawberry season, - Mid-June is pea season and - July is blueberry season. Can you remember that? Sure...I knew you could ;)
