Jak's is the newest kid on the (Acadiana) block's donut scene. This location in Broussard just…read morerecently opened and having heard nothing but good things about the other location, I wanted to go see what the hype was all about. The owners are in here everytime I've been in and couldn't be friendlier. It's very clean and nice inside and I love the little bistro style tables for outdoor dining when the weather isn't being bipolar. I've tried the regular glazed donuts, apple fritters, breakfast burritos, and the sausage and cheese kolaches. My favortie hands down are the breakfast burritos (ham, sausage, egg, cheese and hashbrowns in a tortillia) and the bigger than a dinner plate apple fritters. Seriously, these apple fritters are ginormous and are nice and crispy outside and warm and fluffy inside. Delicious breakfast offerings and a great friendly atmosphere ensures Jak's will be on my regular rotation.
