I had previously been…read moreto their downtown location, which I believe has since closed, so this visit was to the location off Ambassador Caffery. The interior of this location was very nice and welcoming. There was a good mix of seating options that seemed accommodating for both larger groups and smaller parties. The music selection was also enjoyable and added positively to the overall atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp and andouille omelette. I will say the presentation was very stark and uninteresting. Just based on how it looked, I would not have expected much from the dish. While I cannot quite pinpoint how it could be improved visually, it simply came across as boring on the plate. That said, the omelette itself was better than expected once I started eating. The bites that included both shrimp and andouille sausage were the strongest and most flavorful parts of the dish. Overall, if I were judging strictly on appearance, my expectations would have been low. Taste wise, I would give the meal about a 6 out of 10. I did notice several other dishes coming out to nearby tables that looked more appealing, so while this order did not fully impress me, I would not rule out returning. Next time, I would likely try something different from the menu.

It was strong, it was delicious, and it was plenty of coffee, enough to pour the rest to go. Oh, it must have been an off day for her…read more We wanted brunch that morning just because. I picked the place, because the last time we were at Toasted Yolk they were under construction. And the manager gave us a discount because of the noise. First tip off that this might not go well, was there was only one other car in the lot, and they were at the To Go door. Well, that means all the attention will be on us. And we were indeed the only people in the place at 8:00 a.m. "Table for two, please." We followed her as instructed, and passed window booths to be placed (pause, deep breath) next to the bathrooms. Um, no. This will not do. But we were polite. My wife asked if there was another table not near the bathroom that we could use. The young woman literally slammed the menus down on the table, and walked off in a huff into the kitchen leaving another person to quickly come up and bring us to a table. Suddenly, our brunch mood dissipated, and we felt our welcome had quickly chilled. We apologized for putting anyone in a bad mood and got up and walked out the door. Of course, they apologized as well, but the deed had been done. I do not want anyone in the kitchen that is angry with me. The kicker is that there is another brunch spot nearer home than this one. And that's the one we went to and received excellent service. Lafayette has so many choices for dining that one wrong move will strike you from the list. Sadly, this was a wrong move. I guess that only leaves fifteen other choices.

I came in from Mississippi. It was my first time in Lafayette, and I can say without a doubt it will not be my last! I happened upon this bistro right here on Yelp and it was a hit with both of us. So much so that we went back the next morning and were greeted just as warmly as the day before! We were greeted and seated immediately. You peruse their well-rounded menu at your leisure and then order at the counter. I know they use savory and sweet in the description, but to me your choices are even broader. Like a little kick with your savory? Order the Cajun immediately. Fantastic boudin! Want a milder start, order the Crepe Madame with your choice of ham or turkey. Savory with a bit of sweet, order the Monte Cristo. The triple berry jam is outstanding! On the sweet side we tried the S'mores with Biscoff and the Creme Brûlée. They satisfied my best friend's favorite food group...sugar. We met and talked with the owner, Cody, while we were there. Super, super nice guy! We had a thousand questions and he answered them all while we ate our tasty crepe creations. We sat and watched his wife prepare the dishes while trying to convince them to open restaurants in our hometowns! We had the best casual and friendly dining experience the either of us has had in a long time and can't wait to go back! Thank you, Cody and family!!

Your order is brought to you at your table, and they will clear the table when you are done, but you also pay at the counter. Service was attentive, and the restaurant was clean and cozy. My husband and I ordered savory crepes - the Monte Cristo and the Crepe Madame (with scrambled eggs on the side instead of sunny side up on top). They were both absolutely delicious and filling! Our kids ordered the Creme Brûlée, the Crepe cup, and a crepe "your way" with chocolate and strawberries with a fruit cup. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast. For drinks, my husband and I enjoyed coffee - we both ordered a Bayou Belle, and our kids ordered chocolate milk, soda, and water. The chocolate milk was served with an edible chocolate straw, which was a fun addition! Overall, this was a great stop for Sunday breakfast for our family of 5. We will definitely be back!

We were in the mood for breakfast/brunch and I have to say it was the best breakfast plate I've had in a long time. I had 2 eggs over easy, hash brown potatoes, a large homemade breakfast sausage patty, and a buttery biscuit. I also sampled my husband's biscuits and gravy and I was a little disappointed I hadn't ordered that. The service was friendly but not over the top. We were initially confused about seating and ordering. But, our food came out really quickly, which is always a plus. It's very cozy and you should not expect any frills, but do go if you're looking for a home-cooked meal.

There's no host stand or clear seating system, so the entrance felt chaotic. We weren't sure what to do until a nice local told us to just grab a table. After sitting down, it took about 5 mins for a waitress to stop by with the menus. The menu includes both breakfast and lunch items, but the ordering process is confusing. We were told breakfast orders would be taken at the table and lunch needs to be ordered separately at the cafeteria style counter. My husband went to the counter to order lunch while I stayed behind, waiting for the server to return with drinks and take our breakfast order, she never did. The smothered pork dish looked worse than school cafeteria, and unfortunately tasted like it too. It was overly salty and the pork had a weird taste to it. Since we had already paid for the lunch item upfront and still hadn't been able to place breakfast order, we decided to cut our losses and went to another restaurant. Overall, wasted 35 mins and left frustrated and disappointed, definitely won't come back!
