To do the transfer, we went into the Keizer storage office and signed paperwork as needed. I stayed until I was told the transfer was complete. Moving forward six months, I go into the storage center to rent a unit. I'm then informed I'm responsible for a $1200 storage bill. Shocked and confused, I explained the unit had been transferred out of my name, and I had no access to the unit since the transfer nor any communication. The manager then said the office employee failed to sign all the documents as required; therefore, the unit, along with a $1200 bill, defaulted to me. I was not a contact on the unit or given permission to access it after signing it over; therefore, I had zero contact with the storage center. I received no notices, letters, emails, or calls. During the six months, the storage center accessed the unit several times without approval, notice, or permission. On multiple occasions, The storage center permitted employees and others unknown to me to access the unit, removing property as desired. The Keizer Storage Center takes Zero responsibility for the actions of its employees, managers, or what happens on their grounds. You pay to protect your property behind a locked gate only to have the employees access and grant others access to property not belonging to the storage center. I will never do business with them and will warn anyone considering it. Keizer Storage Center has what I believe is an auto-response of "We would love the opportunity to resolve any issues." What would be genuine is to take responsibility and apologize for your wrongdoing, train your employees to complete unit transfers correctly, follow the law and stay out of units without proper notice, not give access to a unit without consent, and refund the money paid.

I informed here I'd be arriving the next morning to secure a unit as it was close to closing time when I placed my call. The next morning I met with Donna and informed here I'm not new to storage facilities and well aware of things you can't store on anyone's properties ( gas & certain other items) and she said "perfect, I don't need to waste time, sign here and here and I'll get your code. I assume you know all about correct locks for storage and I repeated exactly what she expected to hear. We were in possession of the code and completed paperwork in under 5 minutes and looking at the actual location of the Unit within a few minutes after that. The entire property is easy access, gates open quickly and close slow enough to allow a spouse or moving truck to follow you in without worry. Big feature !! I'd choose Stayton mini storage for all my friends or anyone asking about places of storage needed.

However, still cannot give more stars because even after months of requesting a better way to pay and bills they never informed renters of this new option. Additionally phone payments will only be accepted until the 27th of this month. So communication still sucks. I'm giving this place 1star because they do not have auto pay. While that seems extreme it all came down to my experience tonight. I went on vacation and simply forgot to pay my bill. I came home to a letter asking for payment + late fee. Which is fine and I take responsibility for. What is upsetting is that I went to access my unit and it had an extra lock on it. I just returned from vacation and have not had time to take my payment into them. When I first rented a unit I was told that auto payments would be coming down the line. Months later there is still no auto payment option. So the company is banking that you will forget to mail in payment, drop it off, or call and make the payment. So now I have to wait to access my unit until my payment is made. Can't do it online either. This is frustrating. In a world of technology making a payment should be easier. I want to give them my money, they are just making it difficult.

The container itself is extremely clean, secure, and built to handle the Oregon weather without any issues. Everything I've stored inside has stayed dry and well protected, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. What really stands out is how easy and convenient the whole process has been. Access is simple, the container is sturdy and well maintained, and it's been a perfect solution for extra storage. Their customer service is also excellent--friendly, responsive, and clearly focused on making sure customers are taken care of.

I found this…read morestorage facility shortly after moving to Salem, little did I know that trusting them to safeguard keepsakes would be a horrible idea. Located underneath a Grocery Outlet store, and adjacent to the Union Gospel mission, I wish I would've known the area better. People have been living in their units, storing food (rats/mice), and the recent smell is enough to make you gag walking in. The rats traps and poison should he warning enough. Hours of operation are currently 9:00-3:00, off Sunday & Monday, which means if you work regular business hours, there is nobody there to assist you. You can now access from 6am-8pm, but it used to be 8a-8p. While moving my belongings in, I drove over the ramp that leads up the delivery dock; no barrier, yellow paint, sign, or warning. Extreme negligence on their part! They've since put a couple of 'cones' to identify it. Second was the removal of carts in the lobby to help move items. Apparently someone left one outside, now everyone goes without. Stupid - just charge the tenant. I pay enough to have a little convenience. The last episode has put me over the edge! There was a bucket catching water outside of my unit. I opened it and noticed that a large vintage (irreplaceable) print was soaked. I was making a quick stop over lunch and popped into the office to let the manager know there was an issue. She was busy with a new customer so I told her I had to run and would be back. She said she would have maintenance cover it to prevent further damage. This was early March. I returned on Saturday but she was out, so I spoke to new person who took photos and looked inside my unit to see the dripping water coming from the ceiling, and said he would have maintenance address the issue. I was also there to discuss a late fee on my daughter's account due to a glitch in their text notification system. Of course he and nobody else in the office has authority to make any decision so nothing can ever be resolved when you do get to speak to a human. "We have to take this up to our District Office for a decision". Fast forward two months (I don't go there often) and I go in to see that the bucket is gone, but it smells like fish and there are flies everywhere. Of course it's after hours and nobody is there to assist - NO after hours service number, so if you have an emergency - TOO BAD!!! They don't care to be bothered, but will certainly continue to take your money. There was no sign of maintenance, and more water pooled in my unit on the top of my shelving rack that stored three highly collectible LANE Acclaim end tables (photos posted). One of them was black, moldy and split at the seam. Needless to say, I was furious at the neglect, having made them aware months in advance! I walked up to the grocery store to find a manager (as the facility gave the excuse about it not being their responsibility, but never fail to charge me). A manager walked down with me, saw the mess as I pulled the top pressed wood board off. The nasty water spilled onto items below as I made note of other damage (I have three large Patrick Nagel prints stored, one of the frames is now splits from moisture). He mentioned that he would call someone to look into it. In the meantime, he provided tarps and helped cover things temporarily. I emailed the storage facility but got no response for four days (Tuesday), as nobody can be bothered if their office is closed. The site manager (with no authority) called back, and admitted fault for not making sure maintenance followed up and mentioned the second person I told was not fully trained. She also said that the flies could be because a woman with a unit next to me had incontinence issues and stored soiled items, but that it was up for auction. You heard that right, they're selling a unit full of urine/excrement (people buy these online and cannot SMELL it)! I think this might be a Health Department issue at this point. After voicing my anger and frustration, she gave me her district manager's name and number. I finally got a call back and an apology from him after restating the above, before he said that he would then need to talk to HIS boss to see what could be done. Should I be compensated for two month rent while my belongings were being destroyed? Should I have to file an insurance claim and pay a one thousand dollar deductible despite their awareness of the issue? I have yet to find out what they'll do, but was told they might be able to discount on a comparable unit but could definitely not assist with the move - that's on me, of course with no carts out after hours! I don't trust them or many of the people that frequent the area, and will be looking at other options. Beware of Cedar Tree Management properties. The manager already mentioned that she's going to another location, so one can only expect the staff 'support' to get worse!

Edited 5/16: There is a tall security fence with imposing looking barbed wire and a sign that says Security Camera in Use on the front gate. But in the back, the cyclone fence is 5' tall, no barbed wire. And the only security camera is in the front by the gate. Thieves totally use the front gate, right?

I'm a young heavily tattooed female who travels and camps with my partner a lot in the summer. We have the same address. Its preposterous to think me with even a gate code, and my padlock code, how am I a danger or showing I am not allowed to be there? Obviously I'm not a criminal. Its laughable really. This storage area lets people loiter all the time, use the car wash rv dump wash area, chat with neighbors, and work in their units. Ive seen people drinking beer in front of their units with food laid out. Im not allowed to be around the same solely because of profiling although we were given tons of excuses why we can't be around. Its profiling. So beware if you're a tattoo artist or in an alternative field with tattoos... This area has a renter that lies even tho video cameras are around and no one checks them if they're on im guessing, If they were checked or running they'd see the blatant attack at me from a creep I never met.
