I got rear ended about a month ago. Not the best experience - but dealing with Ricks made it better. Jessica helped me when I called to get a drop off arranged. She was friendly and courteous, and helped me navigate scheduling everything and made me much less anxious about it all - and I am an anxious person. The thought of getting a car in for repair, waiting for it, possibly having to buy a new car, it was all a lot. When you get great customer service and deal with an excellent employee it makes it seem a bit easier. TBH my car ended up being totaled - so I didn't need their services for repair. But - when I dropped my car off I got these emails with updates and an estimate of the cost almost immediately. My experience from start to finish has been extremely seamless & stress free. I am thoroughly impressed with the level customer service & work provided. I was on my way to work when the collision took place. I was fine but my car suffered extensive damage. They had a rental delivered for me shortly after arrival so I could get to work ASAP. That was greatly appreciated & very convenient. I was informed every step of the process by daily email updates with pictures of the progress at each stage, as well all the pertaining financial information & figures of the claim. The large amount of work needed was done in a timely manner and I did not go over my rental limit payed by my insurance. At pick up the car was as if it was brand new right off the lot. I was given a detailed report of exactly what work performed, parts repaired/replaced as well as warranty of their work & parts. I was able to return rental at shop during pick up of my vehicle and enterprise emailed me final return confirmation receipt. Very impressive facility, staff & service. One of the worst auto body shops in RI. I can not persuade people enough to avoid these scammers. I had my vehicle repaired it apparently had a bent frame and clearly they didn't straighten it as my car looks like it's traveling crooked down the road as I had the opportunity to be behind my daughter driving. When we brought it back they said the frame was in spec. I brought the car to Lindbergh auto body and they informed me the frame was still out of "whack". Amazing place! My friend had worked done several years ago at Ricks and a few months ago we noticed her roof that was replaced, was peeling. We brought it to Ricks not sure if we were going to get into an argument but it was easy as pie. They looked at it, said no problem and made an appointment for her with a free loaner car waiting for her. The work was exceptional. Additionally, we live in the village and you would think having a body shop in your neighborhood wouldn't be a good thing, well, they are amazing neighbors. The exterior and grounds are meticulous. Rick's has now fixed 3 of our families cars and did a great job on all of them, you can not tell any collision repair work was done to them! They use the best paints and materials in the industry along with all OEM parts which is excellent when it comes down to the quality and durability of the actually part itself, with most aftermarket parts being made with cheap plastics and cheap material you always want to use OEM when available which is great that Rick's does do that! I was very impressed. After a plow hit my car I was worried I would have a lot of things to do to get it fixed. I've been rear ended twice in the past three years in the same vehicle. Brought my BMW X3 to Rick's both times. A friend had recommended them. There was no question of where it was getting fixed the second time. I cannot praise their professionalism and quality of work highly enough. The work was flawless and I was so pleased with the repairs both times. They worked directly with my insurance company and we're very helpful. One thing that really impressed me was that they offered a free loaner car both times. Nothing fancy but when you have no wheels you can't be fussy. First time I used their car but the second time they arranged to have a rental car delivered right to the shop for me. They were accurate on their time estimate. Going to Rick's was a nightmare. They performed body and suspension work on my car and the initial results were terrible, frightening and dangerous. First, they conned me into using their "loaner" rather than arranging a rental car , for which my insurance company would pay. They saved money there, and pocketed the difference. Their loaner was old and a bit of a clunker. After they "fixed" my car it seized up on the highway and ground to a slow crawl because the worker admittedly didn't tork the bolts on the wheel. The car finally came to a complete stop in front of the entrance to Daves market on airport road in Hoxie and blocked the entrance / exit until a police officer arrived and I called for a tow truck. When I picked the car up after another attempt at repair, the light immediately came on the dash saying "check brake pads". They installed brake pads which were incompatible with my car. Another glaring omission that quality workers would easily see before releasing a car to the customer. The woman in the office was pleasant enough, but once the bill was paid she became rude. The "owner" offered me a lame $25 gift card to a cheap restaurant which I guess was supposed to make up for the incompetence. All in all, a very unpleasant experience. read more

Clean shop, professional people, they treated me with respect, offered straight forward advice, and they were on time. My Toyota 2015 RAV4 got hit squarely in the rear. The job required replacement of the rear hatch door, replacement of the bumper, and small undercarriage adjustment. The paint job looks great and the job is warrantied. I asked for a small quantity of matching touch up paint for any future road rock dings and they gave me a small bottle. No questions asked. We are happy. read more
