My experience started with the CCC office jumping into action, setting up drop off day, contacting my insurance and organzing a rental car for the duration of the repair. Dropping the car off took just minutes and I was in my rental car. the Job was done to perfection. I had a couple of unrelated issues with my car, such as a door misalignment and a noter dent. Another great review for Cranston Collision Center! Two years ago they replaced the front bumper from a new daughter driving and now the back bumper from Valet parking the car at a funeral home. Crystal at the front desk was great as usual, always helpful and professional. Ralph the autobody technician did a fantastic job on installing the new bumper and was very knowledgeable explaining what could be done on the body mechanics of an older vehicle. I got in an accident on Monday morning on my way to work, called Geico, they had an appointment for the same day to take my car at 4pm. When I got there, the staff was super friendly and Very personable. They were very professional and thorough with providing information. I really don't know where to begin but the shop is horrible, the manager there is uneducated and surely not involved with his customers one bit, I had my car there because I was hit and Geico sent me there I do not live here I have California plates on my car I noted to the shop that I don't live here the insurance adjuster knows I did not live here, they didn't tell me they were fixing the car just appraising it for the damage, I was stuck in RI while they did this because what am I going to do drive a rental home for work?? Alllll this while I'm here caring for my dying father. They didn't communicate one bit and never told me anything that was wrong. The day my car was done I was unable to come during business hours, they said they'd leave my key in the visor red flag I should of known but I agreed because I wanted to be home and a flight the next day, I go to get the car AFTER dropping the rental keys and MY CAR DOES NOT START, they were closed so I had to Uber to my fathers and cancel my awaiting flight the next morning to address the obvious. My battery was completely fried and had battery acid all over it from them recharging it, I understand batteries die what I don't understand is why you didn't tell me, why I was stranded at night over something so simple to check. The manager was refusing to pay for the battery even after he said it could be from me being hit. My car still had damage he never did a final walk through nothing. Top it off the manger called to cops on me and when the cops came just begged me not to leave a review and to leave. He did replace the battery, however my car is not "fixed " and surely not how it was before these people put their hands on it. Not to mention he said he fixed a recall on my 2019 Ford fiesta in the transmission but there's no recall for that AMAZING. Him insulting me, ridiculing me, telling me I have a 2017 car and that my battery is old. My husband went in to de-escalate the situation and he looked and him and said "woman"! I hope you read this too. I'm leaving the review because my car is being repaired by a totally different shop and has a plethora of issues on it still. Do not go here. read more

I hate giving bad reviews but I had a bad experience so I need to put it out there. I had a squirrel infestation so I contacted Geico and put in a claim. Geico suggested Cranston Collision because it is one if there " Express " repair shops! I think express as fast and helpful but maybe to Ge it means something else? So my vehicle is Townes in on a Sunday so I assumed the on site Geico claims adjuster would get a quote written Monday. It was a simple diagnosis if they had read my report but Monday is wishful thinking so I call and they say Wednesday they'll have my claim written up because they are so busy they haven't even looked at it yet. Wednesday comes and Thursday comes and no word so I call and no answer at 4:25 because adjusters end at 4:30 sucks for anyone who has a 9-5 because try reaching your claims guys with those hours! So I call geico and ask if they have anything and they call the adjuster on his special line because they personally thought a week was crazy! They got ahold of him but now Monday is when he'll have the quote and then they might start some work!?!? So no call Monday so I call at 4 when I get off and I get the same " The shop is so crazy but we are on it" and now I'm promised Wednesday there will be a quote and yes finally Thursday I get a call from Dennis at 4:01 for me to call him back which is always great when your a week over the time you quoted and the call at 4! Is to Call me Back!! So I do and He talks to me like I'm not very bright breaks everything down about how he checked out stuff when he didn't need to and how much it's gonna cost and after he keeps talking over me I finally get a word in about how he missed some key damage that was in my report. He told me he'd check it out and call me back. Never got a call back. My adjuster did the next day and said they are gonna start working on it Friday and will call me Monday because they are waiting on parts but it should be done Monday or Tuesday. No call Monday so I call Monday at 3 and ask about the parts. They arrived so it's gonna be ready Wednesday I'll call you if in the morning but if you don't hear from me it'll be ready by 4. I don't get a call but I get out of work at four so I call the shop and secretary says it's not ready and she'll call me first thing in the morning with not a care and the adjuster is out for the day he had a corporate get together!! Perfect timing. So I don't get a call Thursday of course so I call on my lunch break and they say it's ready and bring payment. That's it. Never heard from my adjuster before or after that since he told me it would be ready Wednesday. If time is not important to you and you like being treated with disrespect then Cranston Collision is perfect for you. Here is a update: Just after a month I found that my air conditioning was still not working which was one of the main problems when it got taken to Cranston Collision. When I brought it in I was told that they read my review and they are a family business and if they had known about my rental issues they would have got me one at the time. They said while they fix what they didn't fix the first time I can use one of there loner cars. Luckily my wife was out of town and had one of my boys because if it was the full family we wouldn't have been able to fit in this tiny Toyota which smelled like someone had smoked in or something got burnt in it I can't say exactly but it wasn't pleasant. I got a half tank and was asked to bring it back that way and I did with a little extra gas. So Saturday I dropped it off and Tuesday I picked it up so four more days without my car which was not great with school full time and work and a toddler it's just not ideal. Tuesday when I go to pick it up they go over what they fixed or missed however you want to say it and then Let me know again that they are a Family Business!! And " Now that we made you whole" " it would be nice if you took your review down off of Yelp" I told them I only stated the facts and was honest and didn't attack but really wanted my community to know about my experience. A couple weeks go by and then I get messages to take it down.. Just reaching out again for you to update that review of my business. As I said before, our reviews are very important to me and saying I was disrespectful couldn't be farther from the truth. Cranston Collision worked to not only repair the damage but make sure if was time in time and with direct coordination with my insurance. Cranston Collision was open and willing to take the car in! They gave me a fast and very fair quote. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful every time I called or checked in. They even let me borrow a car at no cost to get back and forth to work. When I got the car back it looked like there had never been any damage at all, and honestly it looked better than before the hood flew up. To set the records straight - this place is legit...like none of that "over estimating" to your insurance so that you miraculously don't have to pay your deductible. Nope, not here - I paid and what I got in return was a stress free experience, impeccable fixiting, complementary detailing, and a little eye candy - yep the owner is charming and gorgeous. I dropped off my car filthy, dented, cracked, and with a rattle. Not only did Dennis figure out that the AWFUL Balise Volkswagen had installed a rod the wrong way and brackets were knocking against some pipes and driving me crazy over every bump and pot hole, but he and his team delivered my little Verti back in tip-top shape. The staff is beyond professional from start to finish, and they even work with Enterprise car rental so everything is waiting for you to zip off at the time of drop off. During the snowstorm two weeks ago I was hit by a car that spun out on the highway. Both of my drivers side doors were impacted, and when I foolishly opened the back door to get a better sense of the damage, I couldn't close it again. My insurance company has a relationship with Cranston Collision so they suggested I take the car there. I dropped the car off on Tuesday morning, and by Friday morning I got a call from them letting me know it was done. This was for repairs that were originally estimated to take eight days. They replaced both doors, fixed the frame, and repainted the damaged area. When I picked up the car it was sparkling like new. I would hope I never need to bring a car to a body shop again, but if I do I wouldn't hesitate to bring it to Cranston Collision. read more

A friend of mine had written a great status about Cranston Collision a few weeks before the snow storm, on facebook. During the storm a branch impaled my windshield, and popped out parts of my dashboard and steering column, along with cracking the outside casing of my mirror. I had gotten in touch with them initially, then followed up with my insurance. My insurance company works closely with them, and said that everything would be all set. The guy who came to tow my car was really nice about the poor shoveling job I had done around my car, and was very friendly and helpful despite the rain that was pouring down that day. My car was done days earlier than I had expected, and it only took a minute when I went to pick it up to sign a paper, and trade the deductible for the keys. I've been to Cranston Collision twice now, both times for front-end damage. They have a great, concierge-style model of customer service, and I felt very taken-care-of. They're attentive to the little details that make the experience stress-free, including friendly customer service and a spotless clean car when you pick it up. The insurance end is taken care of seamlessly, without a lot of delay or paperwork. You can tell the office is well-run and maintained, everything spotless and welcoming. The only drawback is that they're not great about phone communication. Last time I went there, I had to call them to inquire about my car when they had it longer than expected. Normally, I would have expected an update to tell me when I'd have the car back. Then I had to go back a second time to get an additional part installed, when I'd been told it would be completely ready when I picked it up. This is the second time in years I've needed work done on a car. The first time it was a pretty horrific accident and I got my car back looking like nothing had happened. This time, it was a small accident but my car is brand spanking new! I was so upset about the damage, but I knew it wasn't a big deal. My insurance showed me there referrals and when I saw Cranston Collision on the list I instantly knew where my car would be going. I dropped my car off on a Friday with my insurance company and I was called the following Tuesday saying I wouldn't have my car until the end of the week on Friday. Well Cranston Collision stepped it up and got my car to me the following day. So I was only without my car for five days. My car looks amazing, they even put my license plates on since it had been too cold for me to do it (told you it was a really new car)! My cars great, they had it all cleaned inside and out. They've had to replace my bumper like 3 times and it always looks brand new. They do a great job and the detailing is a nice touch! They call it the Q Tip treatment or something like that and they are not kidding. If there is a speck of dirt in your car, they will find it. I won't take my car anywhere else. Even though insurance companies usually handle the situation for me, the one time I did go myself they were extremely helpful and friendly. Very professional as well. They give you a detailed bill so you know you're not getting ripped off, I like that. They even asked if I wanted the old parts, I guess to show that they did change things. I don't normally post on Yelp. I feel it's my obligation to write something. My 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited was hit in an accident. I never thought it would be the same. These guys did an impeccable job with the body work and paint. The paint on this jeep is metallic. NEVER thought they'd get it perfect. They did ! When they gave it back they said drive it and let us know if there's any issues. There were a couple minor things. I brought it back for a tweak. They gave ZERO ATTITUDE. A few months ago, I had my muffler replaced by Cranston Collision and was so impressed with them that I decided to bring my car back for an oil change and winter check. The next day, they called to tell me that they could not complete the oil change and check because my engine block had cracked and I would need to have it replaced. I thought that this was certainly going to result in a huge repair bill ($$$) and was completely shocked. What's even more shocking is that they continued to tell me not to worry because they had information pertaining to Honda's engine recall and that all I would have to do was contact a Honda dealer and they would replace the engine block for FREE. Not only did they make me aware of a recall that I did not even know existed (I am a second owner, thus I don't receive recall notices), they even printed me a copy of the notice so that I could bring it with me to Honda. Luckily, Metro Honda was great, and DID replace the engine block at no charge As a single woman, I have always been apprehensive when taking my vehicle in for service for fear that the mechanic will take advantage, however now that's not the case. I am EXTREMELY thankful for Cranston Collision's honesty and FANTASTIC customer service. I will be telling anyone who will listen just how great this place is! read more
