No sauce. Ever. Family meal. No sauce. No answer on the phone. No sauce which was ordered. No BBQ sauce.

We stopped in out for an explore. Honestly the best barbecue I've had in some time. Perfect moisture, great tender texture, and killer smoke flavor. No sauce required, but the house Rick's sauce was a perfect addition. The pineapple flavored tea was a fantastic complement to the food. I tried the mustard slaw dog as well. Excellent flavor. The decor screams bbq. Really a perfect fit. They bring the food to you even though you order at the counter, so great service. You really have to try it. Only a few miles off I-65. read more

Lynn helped us as soon as we walked in - her recommendations of the smoked wings was right on - the meat falls off the bone and the flavor is amazing. Ok... I'm a truck driver & I was put OOS (out of service) because my logs weren't current (no ELD) I was gonna stop at the next Love's to do my 10 (10hrs off duty/sleeper) I tried Door Dash, Uber Eats, Pizza Hut & Nothing. Nobody would deliver to me here at the weight station. I called Rick's BBQ & told my dilemma to a VERY understanding voice "Bridgette" She was SO gracious. She got one of her employees to deliver to me (they don't normally do that, from what I understand) but Bridgette felt bad for me. So I order and start to settle in, cuz I think it'll probably be a while. I had NO address, just the explanation of a truck at the weight station. I swear to god, 7 flipping minutes later there's a young fella knocking at my door. (I thought it was maybe the state trooper gonna give me more shit) but NO it's Rick's BBQ... 7 MINUTES!!! I got a couple slaw dogs (delicious) the spicy mustard slaw had JUST the right heat. Mac & cheese, creamy delicious. Mayo Cole slaw & green beans were down home good. Had a little taste, but gonna save for later (I'm here for 10 hours) the pulled chicken loaded potato (YUM!) and a heaping scoop of fresh made Peach Cobbler. Well it is NOT directly off the Interstate. It is about a mile down Hwy 7 in the town of Ardmore. It looks to be darn near new. There was one health department report posted proudly with a score of 100. They should be proud. That is not easy to do with inspectors whose job it is to find fault. So I had the pulled pork sandwich and vinegar slaw ( my mom used to call that freezer slaw since you could make it ahead and freeze it). The pork was pulled. Nice and moist but not so much as to soak the bun. The bun was not your average bun. It was fresh and visually appealing. There are two types of sauce. Normal and Hot. Both tomato based. Both on the sweet side. I could tolerate both. The hot sauce is not so hot as to require you to drink a gallon of water. It is just kicked up a bit. The hot sauce was good enough to get two extra bottles that sold for 5 dollars each. When we ordered it the girl asked if that was for "Here or to go ". Makes you wonder how many people get a bottle and guzzle it at their table. read more

About as poor as BBQ can get. Boiled ribs, falling apart, robbed of flavor, was the mainstay. Beans straight from the Campbell's can. Fast service friendly people, clean surroundings. But boiled isn't BBQ. read more

Howdy y'all! This cowboy here loved the nachos! He said he didn't want anything... but he ate half the nachos! Definitely worth the mile off the hwy on our way to Tennessee! The meat was amazing they didn't hold out on any cheese. They gave me extra Jalapeños!! perhaps the best off the trail nachos ever! We will definitely be back to try another dish. Very nice building. Good BBQ joint here in Ardmore, AL area. Had the pulled pork sandwich with baked beans. Washed it down with fresh brewed sweet tea. Nice smoke flavor and not watered down pulled pork. I had it with Mayo and Vinegar Slaw on top with a few pickles. Baked beans have some meat within its sauce. Nice flavor, but I added extra mild sauce to as well. I will be back for sure. read more

My husband loves this place. He especially loves their baked potato meal. I've tried the pulled pork sandwich as well as the baked potato and they were both great. They also have great sides and know how to make a delicious glass of sweet tea. We've never eaten inside as we live close by and just go through the drive thru. They are quick and super friendly. Very good food. Pork sandwich and brownie explosion are delicious. Service is excellent and the staff are well formed . That building looks new. Rick's has inside and outside seating as well as drive thru. The restaurant and bathrooms are very clean. Located for easy on and off access to I 65 Rick's is the perfect lunch or dinner stop on a road trip. We will be back. read more

We went to Rick's for the first time this evening. We ordered a side of fried pickles. My husband ordered 2 pork sandwiches with fries. I had the pork plate with baked beans, slaw, and a side of baked potato salad. First, the good. The pickles were really good. The seasoned fries were amazing. Baked beans and slaw were good, so was the baked potato salad. Now for the bad. My husband didn't know they put slaw on the sandwiches, or he would have asked them to leave it off. He scraped as much as he could the juice from the slaw had made the bun mush. The "bbq" if you can call it that tasted like it had been boiled or cooked in a crock pot. I should have known better when I didn't see any signs of a smoker anywhere around or smell it when we drove up. read more

I would have given negative stars if that would have been an option. We stopped today at the location in Ardmore, TN. We were not greeted by any of the Rick's employees. Rather they stared at us & proceeded to ignore us presumably because we were wearing masks. NONE OF THE EMPLOYEES WERE WEARING MASKS which was a BIG RED FLAG to us. Even though TN does not require masks, we expected restaurants to REQUIRE employees to wear masks for the SAFETY of their patrons. We also noticed the employees we saw DID NOT HAVE ON GLOVES! We immediately walked out of the restaurant. Not one of the employees tried to stop us from leaving, WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT. It was obvious they do not care about their customers. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE+ZERO COMMITMENT TO HEALTH OF THIER CUSTOMERS=BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES! My advice is to stay away from this establishment!!!!!!!!!!! read more
