10 Piece Chicken tender and Large Fry

Food was amazing. Service was fast and efficient. Staff are kind and courteous. Always a pleasure to see them. Attractive tidy interior makes it a great place to have a meal.

The service was exceptional. Lynn was the true epitome of southern hospitality. I would come back just for her but the food was just as good. Fall off the bone ribs and amazing wings. Will definitely be back.

Well it is NOT directly off the Interstate. It is about a mile down Hwy 7 in the town of Ardmore. It looks to be darn near new. There was one health department report posted proudly with a score of 100. They should be proud. That is not easy to do with inspectors whose job it is to find fault. So I had the pulled pork sandwich and vinegar slaw ( my mom used to call that freezer slaw since you could make it ahead and freeze it). The pork was pulled. Nice and moist but not so much as to soak the bun. The bun was not your average bun. It was fresh and visually appealing. There are two types of sauce. Normal and Hot. Both tomato based. Both on the sweet side. I could tolerate both. The hot sauce is not so hot as to require you to drink a gallon of water. It is just kicked up a bit. The hot sauce was good enough to get two extra bottles that sold for 5 dollars each. When we ordered it the girl asked if that was for "Here or to go ". Makes you wonder how many people get a bottle and guzzle it at their table.

About as poor as BBQ can get. Boiled ribs, falling apart, robbed of flavor, was the mainstay. Beans straight from the Campbell's can. Fast service friendly people, clean surroundings. But boiled isn't BBQ.

Howdy y'all! This cowboy here loved the nachos! He said he didn't want anything... but he ate half the nachos! Definitely worth the mile off the hwy on our way to Tennessee! The meat was amazing they didn't hold out on any cheese. They gave me extra Jalapeños!! perhaps the best off the trail nachos ever! We will definitely be back to try another dish. Very nice building. Clean restaurant all the way through bathroom too.

I just love it! Ambiance is as close to mom's kitchen as it gets! We drove 30 minutes from Huntsville to have lunch. And the price--in a metropolitan area, you'd pay 3x the price of a plate. Delicious!!

Wife, kids and I made the journey up to Mildred's from Huntsville - it was worth the trip! This…read moreplace was hopping on a Saturday afternoon, we got here right at 1130ish and were able to easily find a seat. Plenty of parking available despite being busy. There are two buffet islands, one with main course and sides and some desert, the other with a salad bar and more desert options. There is also an ice cream machine that my wife swears tastes just like Chik-fil-a's. The food is almost all southern, and some of it got rotated out while we ate (the chicken and dumplings gave way to country fried steak and gravy). Fried Chicken, pulled pork, mashed potatoes, fried okra, corn, green beans, man n cheese -- the list goes on and on. By and large, the food was exceptional. The fried chicken was moist and the breading is flavorful, the mashed potatoes were good. Pulled pork was succulent and the BBQ sauce was great. The strawberry shortcake was delicious. Only downsides from my visit was that the corn bread was a tad dry and not sweat (that's a preference thing) and there was no gravy for the mashed potatoes. That being said the yeast rolls are great. The chicken fried steak got rotated in with some pepper gravy (a bit watery) but these were the only nitpicks I found with my visit. Overall the best southern food and best buffet near Huntsville. My waitress ('Granny') was hustling, she made sure the plates were cleared and the drinks stayed full. Everyone seemed to know her and she was able to be friendly with the locals while taking care of business. All of the employees I saw were busy, wiping down the buffet lines, bringing in heaps of food and just making it a great experience. The value was phenomenal -- $12.50 for adults and $7 for kids. I wish they served Coke products and lived next door then they'd be perfect. If you're reading about this place and you live in Hunstville, its worth the drive. If you're a local, its probably a staple and you already know. 5 stars, would recommend. Thanks!
