We usually love Rico's and have chosen to support them over big chain pizza restaurants for more than 5 years. Whenever we order for delivery, we use the Slice app. This evening we ordered $70 worth of pizza, which was promised by 8:04pm. By 8:30pm, the order that had shown as being out for delivery disappeared off the app. We called Rico's to find out what happened and were told that the driver gave the order to someone else. They said they would remake it but it wouldn't be delivered until 9:30pm, and would still take more than 30 minutes even if we picked up. By then my hungry kids would have been asleep, so I said never mind. I asked about the money I had paid for the pizza, including delivery fees and a tip to the driver that gave our order away and was told they "couldn't do anything" since the order was placed through the app. I never received any kind of apology or regret for the situation, the staff at Rico's clearly didn't care at all. The crazy thing is, they didn't even call me to tell me what had happened and didn't offer anything for the inconvenience. Although they said they couldn't "do anything" about the money we paid, the restaurant could have still offered a future order for free or agreed to authorize slice to refund part or all of the order and still provide us with the pizza, but they just threw their hands up in a "too bad, sucks for you" attitude. At the very least, an apology would have been nice. Needless to say, we won't be supporting Rico's any longer. read more

They have the worst service I have ever seen. I ordered a 1/2 pepperoni half combination and they decided to put bell pepper on the whole thing, when have you ever seen pepperoni pizza with bell peppers? They didn't even bother to offer a discount, so I paid $51. for my Party size pizza. Don't go there unless you want your order totally screwed up. Was visiting in Turlock at a friends. Decided to order some pizza for delivery before our friend had to go to work. We called 2 hours before he was supossed to leave, ordered 1 large pizza and wings. Given an ETA of 30-35 mins for delivery. Since they don't take ATM at the door, I paid for the order when I ordered on the phone. Recieved notification of charge on my account as well. 40 mins later still no delivery. 50 mins, nothing. 1 hour, I get impatient and call. I was told they lost my tag so the order was never made. They said they could make it for me and it would be about 40 mins. I told them I wanted the order and we would pick it up instead of waiting for the driver to take 20 mins to drive 3 miles. They refunded me $2 for delivery charge, offered no discount for their mistake or inconviencing me. They were rude when I went to pick it up as well. We happened to stop by on our way home from a business trip. My boss told me I would be surprised at how good and the size of the pizzas. I'm a pizza freak, so I was excited and skeptical all at once. He ordered the largest size which was 26"! I've never seen a pizza this large! We took it to go and walking out we had to twist the box to the size because it couldn't fit directly through the door. The smell was delicious, so of course I took a slice for the road. I was just there earlier for the lunch buffet. And have been to it in the past and it's always the same deal. I show up and there's one or two pizzas out. And I leave an hour later and the same pizza was still there. And no new pizza was brought out. The bad thing is that before I paid I asked the lady in the counter if they were going to take out more pizza and she said yes. I like the place and the environment. This place was horrible. Ordered a personal pizza for myself and 40 minutes later I asked how much longer it would be. The worker said oh I just saw it go in the oven it's almost done. Wait another 25 minutes just to find out they forgot my pizza and it would be 10 more mins. I wait then a guy comes up and offers me a larger pizza which ended up the opposite of what I ordered and was super old. They told me 15 mins to get my tiny pizza. No refund or anything. I've never experienced service like this before. As a business owner I'd say do yourself a favor and fire your staff. Hire some new staff. read more

This place use to be our go to pizza place in town. Last three times we've gone their customer service has been TERRIBLE. The last time we went, our pizzas came out before the appetizer. We asked to cancel the appetizer and get our money back for it and we were given attitude about it but then ended up doing it. This has happened the last 3 visits and we were not the only customers there to have it happen to. At the end of our visit we expressed our dissatisfaction and we're given a shoulder shrug and then asked us to leave. We will not be going back there anymore. read more

Worst customer service ever and atmosphere became awkward and hostile. We had a Party here that we made reservations for. Kids were playing, sports were being watched and Music was being played on their jukebox that we were paying for. After maybe five songs we were approached by a worker saying that the music needed to be turned off because a customer was complaining of the lyrics. That was understandable, but if it was offensive music why would it be on their playlist? Why would it be turned off and no refund given? We asked for a refund and were only dealt with more confrontation. Why would they be able to turn off the music and then the customer who was "offended" told the workers to blast the tv instead that was next to us and they had no problem listening to his request. A tv that he was not watching. He was at the bar drinking and watching a different tv/game. He kept looking over and giving looks while the worker kept talking to others about the situation. I finally went up the register and asked if they could turn down the tv and they told me it was the surround sound that was so loud and they couldn't do anything about it. I told them that the customer that complained wasn't even watching that tv but watching a different one and with a different sport. She looked at both TVs and then said ok that she would turn down the volume. Not exactly sure why I was lied to and told it was the surround sound and that they couldn't do anything about it. I've always liked Rico's and liked this one especially because the kids always had fun. I'm sure they won't care but my business will be taken elsewhere! I have had several interactions with this pizza place this month. I went there originally because I had a coupon. My first interaction was so-so but the last two is what warranted the review. Two weeks ago I placed an order for delivery it was one pizza and I was told it would be about 40 minutes since it was busy in there. An hour and a half later I had a house full of hungry, fussy kids, no pizza and I had been on hold for 10 minutes waiting for someone to get back on the phone so I could find out where my order was. The pizza showed up while I was on the phone with the manager. She gave me a discount on the next order I placed. Today, I ordered a medium 3 topping pizza. I paid for a medium 3 topping pizza and I received a medium 1 topping pizza. It was pick up this time so it was easy to bring it to their attention. They offered to fix it but their solution was inadequate. Instead of remaking the pizza, they put the additional toppings on and reheated it. They toppings don't stay, it isn't hot and the reheating has led to chewy pizza. This is poor business conduct and it causes me to question what other corners they are cutting. read more

But in my experience as an experienced manager of a pizza place....when you make a mistake you fix it and let them keep the messed up pie whether they are gonna eat or not its trash at this point.... Are you employees gonna eat the messed up pie now? Is that why you made a mistake, in Hope's of a free pizza to share?? It's not like I called and said whoops I forgot bell peppers are on it fix it please...no I was having them fix their mistake! It took longer to get my remake then my original pizzas! I just had my Son's birthday party here and it was my first time trying there pizza and I'm giving this place 5 stars!!! I bought a few party pizzas they were definitely worth the price & very delicious. The area I had my party in was a good size and clean. It was a good atmosphere and my guests had a great time. The only thing I would suggest is more garbage cans. There is only like a kitchen sized garbage can that I seen in the whole place and new napkin holders the ones on the tables were very very dirty!! As I was showing them the hair I noticed a few girls In the back making pizzas with NO HAIR NETS! First timer here & I gotta say the customer service is shit. There are a bunch of girls that stand around & are on their phones while 2 outta the 10 people are actually busting their asses doing something. Jasmine in particular was one that was flirting with men while scrolling through her phone when there were tables to be busted. Also, the majority of them wear their hair down & when serving food your hair is supposed to be up. The pizza was not fully cooked, but the fries were great! This place had bad customer service. I was there Sunday to have some pizza and watch some football. The place wasn't full, I sent my son to find us a table as I was ordering our food. He comes back and says all tables were reserved, I already placed my order was about to pay so I asked the lady were are we supposed to sit and eat. Her answer was i don't know.
